A picky friend of mine recommended this restaurant, so that automatically caught my attention. I looked it up on YELP and noticed a fellow Yelper Lori S. had great things to say. I had to try it. It's in a great location - right off 295 and 196. Easy to find. Parking - This restaurant shares a very large parking lot with a couple of businesses, however there is plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant. Which I LOVE! Inside it's super spacious and it could easily accommodate a party of 6-8. They can move tables together, where half would be in chairs and others on booth seating. The menu is great. Has some traditional Thai food options and so much more! You can order online for take-out as well. Some of our favorites: Crab Rangoon, Edamame, Thai Crispy Vegetable Rolls, Pork Dumplings (dainty/crispy and delicious). Thai fried rice, Pork or Chicken Kra-Pow, Combo Thai Fried Rice, and MANGO STICKY Rice for dessert - YUMMMMMMMM. While I have had the entrees and appetizers at other restaurants, for some reason the food tastes so fresh here and not greasy at all. Its flavors are bright and not just "salted". In the 3 times I have had dinner here, it's always so consistent. It's my favorite Asian restaurant in this area. The portions are good as well, most times we have been here, someone has had a takeout container of leftovers. The service here is nice. They are quick on their feet and always with a smile. If you are in the area, I recommend this restaurant for Thai/Asian Food.

Visited just prior to closing so it was no surprise they were out of white rice. Not a big deal to me. Our waitress was friendly, and we were served quickly. There's plenty of parking. I ordered the garlic with shrimp. It was really good and a sizable portion. The spicy cashew chicken and fresh spring rolls were also tasty. The tea is very strong.

Wow! We had tried take out from here and finally went in. Very friendly staff and beautiful plates! The Chicken Satay was perfect, very moist, tender, and well seasoned chicken, and the peanut sauce was smooth and delicious! The Pad Thai was very good, though just a bit more sweet than others I have had. My husband enjoyed the Pineapple Fried Rice. The portions are large, so I get to enjoy it again today! The only thing that stopped me from 5 stars was time. There were only 3 tables occupied, and it took a long time to start getting food. They were busy with take out orders and only had 2 working the front. We will certainly go back!

First impressions - OH YUM!! We had several dishes and everyone loved what they ordered and the portions were very good, as we took leftovers home. The service was very pleasant. The atmosphere was casual and a very quaint restaurant. They do have outside seating as well, and a bar, for those looking for a drink with their meal. And even though we were all full, we decided to try dessert and oh yeah, glad we did. Lave Cakes are so cute delicious and just the right amount. The Mango with Sticky Rice, served warm and I'm not a big fan of Mango, but I tried a bite, and it was amazing!! Now I am big on coconut flavor and their Coconut Rice Pudding, not only was it adorably served (maybe I was supposed to share, since there was 4), but again, served warm and down right delicious!!! So, first time there, from my hair dresser's recommendation, and will definitely be back! In Topsham, look them up, you will be glad you did!!

Authentic Thai cooking and spice! Had the larb salad, medium, 3 chili spice, super SPICY but addicting and good. Chive dumplings were tasty and I enjoyed my red curry vegetables with special request of lomein noodles instead of rice. BF enjoyed his garlic beef combo. Enjoyed the maitai. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice and quiet ambiance. I'll be back

The wait staff was very nice and attentive. The amount of food was perfect enough for leftovers. The pad Thai was good, I think it could have a bit more flavor and more sauce. The sampler for 2 was huge.

Green Papaya Salad, side of fish balls, hot green tea

Supper at Siam Thai Kitchen in Topsham, Maine. Green papaya salad with a side of fish balls and hot green tea. The dressing was a god balance of sweet and vinegary. Fish balls are like itty bitty chewy slightly fishy matzo balls. They are often are in seafood pho or ramen. This was the perfect light meal. I will return!

Unlike other hibachi restaurants, we we were also able to order food and be served right away. We didn't have to wait for the table to fill up as is so often the case. The fillet melted in my mouth. The shrimp are perfectly seasoned and delicious. The fried rice, fantastic. The vegetables are one of my favorites. Our chef was attentive, professional, funny, and adept at doing everything that is hibachi. I love the fact that I have discovered this so close to home. No longer a reason to drive all the way to Thompson.

The Lewiston reputation holds strong as the mall is limping along and this facility is a corner stone of its remaining existence. Sea 40 ambience hasn't changed since the day they opened their doors. It's okay, just don't look for that swanky up and new appealing vibe. The waiter was frantic, slow, preoccupied, and all over the place. The food at Sea 40 was relatively fresh, flavorful, and presented just fine. I had started with steamed edamame with sea salt and Pot-Stickers/Gyoza. For my main course I had the hibachi salmon and filet mignon, salad with the ginger sauce, and broth soup.

Miso soup was delicious and hearty - just what you need on a cold day outside. Both, noodles and fried rice were great. Btw their spice levels are catered to North American taste buds, so if you're an Asian just tell them highest spice levels and you'll probably still feel like moderate. Having said that, great flavours. The staff was nice and friendly. I used the restroom and they were clean and well maintained. Definitely recommended.

It is a tragedy that I was only planning to visit Portland for less than a day, so I didn't have the opportunity to dine in at the Green Elephant. However I would contemplate driving up from Boston just to have their Singapore noodles again. It was so flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to the perfect texture. The level 2 spice in the online ordering menu was not spicy at all, but the food still had a good amount of sauce and flavor. The dish was definitely heavy on the noodles and probably only had 4-5 bite-sized pieces of tofu for protein, but the noodles certainly were my favorite part. And for only about $15-20 per main dish, this is one of the more accessible/affordable restaurants for vegan options in Portland!
