I just got back with takeout and let me just say this: this place is legit. Not only are all of their current safety precautions top flight, but their employees are extremely nice and very professional. We had the appetizer sampler-- all four items were terrific. Super tasty and held up well on the way home. Pad Thai and Pepper Steak were both jam-packed with flavor. Word to the wise, we like very spicy food and a level 3 was plenty. But they included extra pepper flake in case we wanted a little more heat. 10/10 will go again and soon! read more

This place is AMAZING and very authentic! Ever since my first order, I have been hooked. Once you give your number the first time, your in their system for easy ordering. Their curry reminds me of my moms cooking and is very tasty. Even with carry out, their food is still warm when I get it home to eat. We called them an hour before arriving. Wanted to make sure they were ok with us coming in to eat 1/2 hour from closing. They said absolutely. So when we arrived 45 minutes before closing we were told abruptly that they are closing soon so we will need to eat fast and leave! We ordered our food and we had a small child with a peanut allergy and understood they could not guarantee any peanut cross contamination might not happen. Totally understood. So we just said he can eat the appetizers or maybe I could go next door and get him a Subway sand which. That's when the worker became snotty. She said we can't bring in a sandwhich no matter what. Even though we tried to give them every opportunity to offer a peanut free meal. We just felt odd at this point. They didn't want us there and certainly shouldn't have had a issue feeding our child something not from their menu. We were going to spend about $75 for lunch for three too! Well, we walked out. Even though we no longer live in Ankeny this place is WORTH THE DRIVE!! IMHO it is THE best Thai food in the DM area. Hubby always gets the Pad Thai and adds broccoli, it's delicious that way! Try it! I get Red Curry Beef with extra carrots cuz they soak up the amazing curry sauce. I've had some pretty thin and stingy curry before but the curry sauce here is SOOO flavorful and once you dump it over the perfectly steamed jasmine rice it's just too heavenly for words. I tried Siam Table out with a friend, and it was pretty decent. I think I'd give it a second shot. However, I was disappointed in the provided silverware. (Stay with me here!) Traditionally, Thai is eaten with a large spoon and a fork. You use the fork in your right hand to scoop a bit onto the spoon in your left and eat from the spoon. Excellent Thai food! Great variety to pick from and the food is always fabulous! They just remodeled and it looks great. Order the spice level with caution. I am by no means a wimp when it comes to spicy food and a 3 is as high as I can go. Their Healthy Rolls are one of my favorite things to order and the sauce that comes with is fantastic. Great Thai food in Ankeny. Me and my partner go here regularly for takeout. The food is always steaming hot, delicious, and consistent. The staff here are also always pleasant when I come to pick up my food. I can only recall once where my order has taken a little more time than usual, and the hostess was very attentive to me and even offered a free Thai tea while I waited. Overall great place. My personal recommendation would be to get the pad thai or any of the curries. The mango and sticky rice is also really great, but make sure the mango is in season or you'll get mango that's slightly unripened and not as sweet/flavorful. I've never had a dish here that I did not enjoy though! read more

Let me first off by saying ... people in Iowa have AWFUL taste in food. This Thai food was mediocre at best. And that's being nice. We had the curry and pad see u. The curry was very bland. I asked for the highest level of spicy and it tasted like a 0. The noodles were dry and had no sauce. The rice was over cooked. This place is just meh. Everyone in this town loves it. Great replacement for Thai Flavors. Panang Curry was really good. Ordered it five stars and the heat wasn't there. It was still good but missed the heat. Pad Thai was also very good. We went here on a double date a few weeks ago. It was the first time for all of us and we all loved it! The server was super sweet and attentive. The food was great and came to our table quickly. They had a good amount of people inside the restaurant and still we got our food quickly.
