    Angry Chicken and Fried Rice
    Vivian T.

Love the food here! Everything we ordered has been great so far. Great service and very fast. Located in Kaleidoscope Mall. My only complaint is that they aren't open longer hours. The Food: Fried Rice (any meat) (4/5) Angry Stir fry (any meat) (4/5) Both dishes were delicious and worth trying at least once cause I'm sure you'll go back for more! The Angry was perfectly angry and not too pissed off. Great portions as well! Always a stop for us every time we eat at kaleidoscope.

The best food in town. Not even close!!!!! We had hot pot here one night and it was Amazing!

    Thai yellow curry with chicken

I literally eat here every day of the week. Wednesday is spicy yellow curry special. I get it with no rice, extra vegetables, and tofu. It is SO good. It's not like normal curry and if you are afraid of curry try this because it was my first curry ever and I loved it. You can sample the sauce too. It's available everyday of the week you just have to ask for it. Friday is spicy glazed salmon special. It's another one of my favorites and is healthy. I always ask for extra veggies no rice. Pad thai is a little dry, but still good. Ask for some of the spring roll sauce to pour over it. They have the best spring roll sauce around. Fried rice is amazing but a little expensive for being mainly just a bigger side dish.

Spicy Thai Basil. Pretty darn good.

I just moved downtown for work. This was the first place I tried in the skywalk. It's a fast food type of Thai joint with low prices, and for what you pay it's pretty darn good. I got their Spicy Thai Basil dish and an order of spring rolls. The main dish came with a large scoop of rice and plenty of meat and vegetables. Everything looked fresh and vegetables were crunchy and not overcooked and mushy like some fast food places make them. Food was flavor packed. The spring rolls were good also. They only had pork left when I got some so supplies are limited. I'll probably come here for lunch plenty of times. I'd recommend it to anyone that craves rice with stir fry.

JJ Jasmine is in the skywalk so it's convenient for people working in the area. Usually the line is pretty short, if there is one, except right around noon. They serve several thai dishes with choice of chicken, pork, beef, or tofu, so lots of great options for vegetarians. I'm a fan of the Pad Thai. The spring rolls are tasty too.

If you work downtown or happen to be there around Lunch this place is a must try!!! If you love Thai food then come here. Their dishes are spot on, food fresh and hot, and service is awesome! A couple of my favorite dishes are the eggplant stirfry, angry chicken, combo lad na and off the menu drunken noodles! Food prices are definitely reasonable for lunch and you get a good portion size. If you like spicy food you can let the chef know or you can add it on the side with their self serve condiment area. I do both!! Love spicy!!!

    Yellow curry?!

Asked for a yellow curry...and got a pile of veggies and chicken in a weird brown sauce. Never doing this again.

    Beef Fried Rice...tasty!

Ok I stopped by again, so now this is my 3rd time here...and 3rd time was the charm lol. I ordered the fried rice with beef only this time and I'm going to upgrade my rating to 4 stars now. Even though the fried rice is more of a Chinese fried rice dish rather a Thai dish, it tasted very good. It wasn't as greasy this time either. Plus they give you a lot of food for under $7. The lady in front is also very nice. She apologized to me when my food took a little longer than expected, but it really didn't take that long. So if you're in the mood for some good fried rice....stop by JJ Jasmine and give it a try!

Not a great place to eat thai food. But good for hot and sour soup. Angry chicken is their special but I find nothing special about it. Can give it a try. Dont complain if you ain't satisfied.

There is limited table service, as many amenities are self-serve. As an Asian, this was great: let me eat in peace :D. Nonetheless, the employees were pleasant and came to check on us to clear our table. We seldom dine at mixed/fusion Thai in California, so expectations were low upon seeing the menu. They have a small menu, but enough varieties for everyone. We ordered Khao poon with tofu, after-school fried rice (what we call pineapple fried rice), and eggrolls (not pictured). The soup was great: enough spiced, fragrance, and heat -- added extra chili flakes for my preference. However, the only disappointment was the tofu, as they were not cooked in the broth, simply added prior to serving. Would have loved them lightly fried for texture and flavor. Then again, it is the Midwest, so I didn't expect many tofu lovers for them to go through the trouble. Still rate it 5/5. The fried rice was delicious: Requested level 3 spiciness, which was too spicy for my uncle, but he managed to enjoy it. He would order it again, but at level 2 spiciness. The portion size is big enough for two more meals, so he was happy about that. We would dine here again next time we visit Des Moines.

The atmosphere was fun and modern without feeling overdone. I was happy to see that the Thai tea could be made with oat milk. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, Lao sausage, Dala dumplings, and Nam Khao with sour pork. The Nam Khao at spice level 3 was milder than expected but still enjoyable. The dumplings had a great texture, and while the filling was bland, the dipping sauce made up for it and was delicious and complemented the dish perfectly. The Lao sausage was sweet and garlicky, but the sticky rice was a little dry. The Pad Thai was just how I like it with fresh vegetables and not overly saucy. Parking is hard to find, and it is on a busy street. So plan accordingly. It took us about 15 minutes to find decent parking that was half a block away. We didn't mind the walking, but we thought there would be a designated parking lot. But there is not unfortunately. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend this spot if you are looking for Lao and Thai flavors.
