I went today and ordered a 2 combo meal, triple delight meal and bbq wings. I didn't get the triple delight spicy like I asked and I didn't receive a crab Rangoon and egg roll with the 2 combo meal. They also didn't put any spice in the orange chicken like I requested. The soups also came half full. Located in a strip on Fleur, TTS supposedly is the best Chinese in the metro or at least highly rated. I wouldn't put it overly high. Its ambiance is local fast food like, service is friendly and the food is reasonably cheap and fairly decent but not fantastic. My companion and I thought the egg drop was better than lost but the entrees were kind of bland offset by plentiful. If you are looking for really good Chinese look elsewhere. If in the vicinity try the Green Olive for similar price and better food albeit it's Greek. I have no relationship with the Green Olive. read more

Wanted to start off by saying this place has the most friendly staff I have encountered in Iowa. For a Monday evening they were quite busy. They do have indoor dining and couple of tables. Nice decorations. Food was good. I got the sweet and sour soup and it was little to salty for my taste. Chicken sesame was outstanding! After dropping off a rental vehicle at the airport I was in the mood for Chinese food. I found this place on Yelp and it had great reviews. The place is less than a mile from the airport in a little strip mall. There was plenty of parking the Sunday night I visited. The place wasn't very busy. The dining area was clean. The staff was very friendly and nice. I ordered the Mongolian Beef which came with a Egg Roll and Crab Rangoon. The beef was very tender with nice flavor. Plenty of beef to vegetable ratio. The rice was cooked perfectly. The Egg Roll was crisp on the outside with crisp flavorful vegetables inside. I wasn't impressed with the Crab Rangoon as the inside was like runny pudding. This is typical Chinese fast food places that you get what you pay for. Nothing really foreign so you can't be terrified to eat anything and I'm assuming they're missing a great ingredient MSG which people are fearful of consuming when they practically eat it in many everyday items. It's a small place that's at the end of a strip with cliche Chinese decorations. The place does get pretty popular so you may end up waiting in line for a little while during peak hours. Went here this afternoon. I've been to the Tsing Tsao in West Des Moines, and enjoyed it, so I was assuming I'd like this place as well. I should mention that a lot of the Chinese places around Des Moines seem to be closed on Sundays, so this place is a good Sunday option if that's what you are going for. I got sweet and sour chicken, the dinner portion, which comes with steamed rice, egg roll, a crab Rangoon and a fortune cookie for around seven bucks. Clean, fast, tasty! I would characterize this place as a reliable place to get some Asian food. It's probably not going to knock your socks off but it will be good and it will come from what looks to be a very clean kitchen. I wish this place had delivery all the time. The food is good, but not the best. Some of the vegetables were almost raw in the egg drop soup. They are a little heavy handed with the soy sauce. The garlic chicken had good flavor and I like that they use chunks of water chestnuts instead of slices and mushroom slices instead of chunks. The portions are great for the price. Everyone in my family raves about this place. One family member visits home and the moment he lands at the airport this is what he craves. So tonight was my first night. We went in the evening and I had the Orange chicken meal that came with steamed rice, egg roll, crab rangoon, drink and soup. The egg drop soup is full of veggies and crab. It was hot and very tasty. A lot of food for the price. All the good was good. We all had different meals but all left stuffed. Multiple people came in and out to pick up the call ahead meals. I took note that the man at the counter knew people add they came in. If anything he knew them by their orders. One lady he'd commented "no spicy tonight?" Kudos for knowing your regulars. The sit down crowd was thin till about 7. Apparently you can't buy the tea to go here. I guess my mom loved it so much she came to get a cup to go once and couldn't. Tonight she bought it and had a couple pots and still had enough to take a glass home.
