I had the opportunity to attend The Eggroll Ladies first "bottomless noods" event tonight. I saw it offered on their Facebook page and it took me all of about 10 seconds to decide to commit and send a message. Bottomless pho and assorted instant ramen as well as endless eggrolls and crab rangoon. The buy in was a reservation ahead of time with them and $30 ea. Hopefully additional events will follow. Keep an eye on their Facebook page! The pho was good, but I'm not going to lie... I'm pretty basic. Chili oil, sprouts, and jalapeño. The protein tonight was meatballs. And honestly I was there more for the eggrolls and crab rangoon. The owner (Trang) and her staff did a great job tonight! Most of us arrived in a 615 pm window and they had to juggle us with customers coming in for dine-in and take-out orders. It had the potential for a rocky start, but Trang and her team navigated it well. We were started with a bowl of pho or ramen (customer's choice) and a basket of eggrolls and crab rangoon. As you finished staff was there to clear your spot and replenish as needed. The eggrolls and crab rangoon... Wow! The crab rangoon walk a line between sweet and savory. Plenty of filling..,not lacking at all. I don't know if I've met a crab rangoon I don't like, but I'm a big fan of Mr Eggroll (the ones at the downtown farmers market). I think these edge them out for my #1 spot. The eggrolls almost reminded me of a larger lumpia. And I mean that in the best way possible. Sometimes you have to fight to find the meat in an eggroll. Not these! They're packed with meat. You might have to look a little to find your vegetables though... Trang also treated us to an assortment of lemonades and a piece of pandan cake. I went with a lychee lemonade. So good! I threw in my towel tonight a little over an hour in when I reached the point I felt my gluttony had tipped into biblical sin... I definitely got my money's worth and then some. The food was great! The staff did a fantastic job! As a side-note. I'm a US Navy veteran and I enjoy supporting service member/veteran owned businesses. Trang, along with being a restaurant owner, currently serves in the US Army National Guard Reserve. Her plate is full but it appears she has a handle on balance! Make sure you check out the regular menu and the other items offered! https://www.facebook.com/eggrollladies?mibextid=LQQJ4d

The filling in the Rangoon was good but the outside was old and stale tasting. The egg rolls were cold and so were the potstickers.

Gross. Cold. Yucky. Sadly not was I was hoping for. These need to be made to order and not sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long.

Wonderful for a quick meal, a good lunch, or a catering order! They never cease to amaze me

Freshly made food and sauces. Friendly workers and clean store! Usually 10 mins or less waiting time. Lovely small business; impressed

This js hands down my new favorite Asian/Viet place in the DSM area. This is a MUST go to if you're craving eggrolls!! Eggroll ladies started as a food truck and just recently turned into a brick and motor. The eggrolls and the marinated pork rice noodle bowl are soooo good. They taste just like my grandpa's eggrolls! There are plenty of options for different appetizers (eggrolls, crab Rangoons, pot stickers, and spring rolls), and classic Viet-style protein (marinated pork or lemongrass chicken) + rice/noodle bowl with some veggies. The staff and owners are soooo friendly and lovely. I will definitely be back!!

Chicken teriyaki fried rice bowl. Terrible food quality, everything overcooked. Poor customer service.

Food was terribly dry, place is full of flies, service was poor when told the food was subpar. Highly disappointed.

Great food from the food truck. Checked them out at Beaverdale's Farmers market. Can't wait to visit them at Indianola Balloon fest.

Rangoons were good, egg rolls were ok, and the teriyaki chicken bowl was terrible. The chicken was super dry and not fresh at all.

Biggest disappointment was that while alcohol options showed on the menu, they were unable to serve any alcohol - claiming that their liquor license had not yet been renewed. I was craving a spring roll with peanut sauce, so to start things off, we ordered #90 Bo Bia steamed spring rolls with shredded shrimp, carrots and sausage served with plum sauce (see picture). While the wrap was thicker than the 'paper' wraps that I'm used to, they were very good - and I really liked the plum sauce. My wife was undecided and our very helpful waiter Archie, suggested #69 Com Ga Chien Xa Ot (chicken breast fried with spicy lemon grass - see picture). It was good, but both of us would have preferred a bit more spice, as we ended up adding Siracha at the table. I was considering #99 Banh Xeo Vietnamese style crispy pancake stuffed with shrimp, pork & veggies based on the menu picture, but Archie talked me into #97 Banh Tam Bi Xiu Mai udon noodles with shredded pork, steamed pork meatballs and veggies instead (see picture). I was impressed with the coconut milk and lemon sauce that he poured over it when served with the instructions to stir it all together - very tasty combination of savory, sweet and tart, with a very slight spiciness. I knew we were in the right place when we walked I. And half of the restaurant were Vietnamese peeps. Was a warming experiencing hearing patrons throw a few traditional Lunar New Year greetings at each other and the owners. It's a small mom and pop shop, so much so, pop was the sole soldier working the entire front of the house. As such, don't expect super fast service, but good service nonetheless. We started with the fresh spring rolls, which were good, and their fried egg rolls, which I probably won't order again. The egg rolls were pretty much veggies, loosely filled, and served with a sweet and sour type dipping sauce. It was more of an Americanized Chinese style egg roll, not a Vietnamese cha gio with nouc cham. I ordered the pho dac biet and it was VERY good. The large is HUGE. Most places back home have suffered from shrink-flation and large bowls are tiny now. Not this place, I struggled to finish the bowl. My friends got the seafood pho, and another got the pho ga (chicken). I of course did not slide my chopsticks in theirs and swipe a bite, but they said they enjoyed theirs. I would definitely come back here again and maybe try some of their other dishes.
