Starting off - I was really glad I snagged a reservation because when we arrived there was a line waiting for them to open. We were seated quickly, and our service was really efficient. The drinks were unique, but tasty. We ordered the crab puffs because that's my favorite at any Thai restaurant. They came out in under 5 minutes, and were piping hot. They were good! For my main I ordered the steak drunken noodles and they were so so so good. I couldn't finish it all because the portion was so large, but you better believe it was just as good cold later that night. I would definitely be back. My husband ordered the chili & basil pork and he cleaned his plate - so I'd say it was good. Because it's a popular spot, there is a time limit on your dining experience. If you're wanting to relax and hang out - probably not the spot. The food is SO good though, so I'd still grab dinner here, then head to a cocktail bar to hang out

It was excellent combination with the rice it came with. The pad kee mao was sub par. Flavor was weak and protein pieces were small. Nonetheless, it sufficed for our lunch needs. Nothing spectacular to make your way over here, but if you are in the neighborhood, it will get the job done.

They even have a Pride flag for June. By the time our food arrived I was too hungry to take photos of it and we had to box up most of it to make it to our next destination on time. It's too bad the food takes forever because I LOVE their food. The menu is quite extensive and they have things not many other Thai places have near me. Sadly I will not go back for dinner any time soon.

We ordered pad thai with chicken, drunken noodles with beef, Panang curry with beef and mango with sticky rice. I asked for medium and it was a nice spice level. Noodles were good. But for however long we had to wait for everything (menus, drinks, to order, our food, the checks), the food made up for it! When I visit a new-to-me Thai restaurant, I usually get the pad Thai or convince someone I'm dining with to get the pad Thai so I can try it. Pad Thai is my litmus test! The pad Thai here at Chiang Mai Thai Noodle was excellent. Perhaps some of the best pad Thai I've eaten in Indy. It wasn't too sweet, which was nice. Sometimes, pad Thai can get a little cloying, but this one was perfectly balanced. I got it with shrimp, which were great and perfectly cooked. Like I mentioned, I visited with a big group. We all got something different, and I also got to try the Crispy Spring Roll. They ain't kidding -- this is one crispy spring roll. The outside shatters with every bite. I think when I come back, I'm definitely getting my own order of these. Other people at my table got things like curry, tom kha soup and crispy basil duck, and every person loved their dishes. The portion sizes are also huge! I feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, here. One thing to note: Their spice level goes from 1 to 6, with 6 being the hottest. A couple of us wanted mild and chose a 2, and it was way too spicy! So if you truly want a mild dish, just go with a 1.

I ordered Thai Fried Rice with chicken and shrimp, medium spice level; along with some crab rangoon bites. The crab rangoon bites were delicious and I did enjoy the sweet chili sauce paired with the bites. When it came to my thai fried rice, I had way more onions than chicken and shrimp in my entree. I only found 2 small pieces of chicken. The only win for me was the crab rangoon bites. I might give them another try, because I do enjoy thai food, but this wasnt the best experience.

The lunch specials are the way to go for your first time, dining. You will not leave hungry. In fact, you could end up with leftovers; depending on your appetite. And the prices are reasonable. They complement the portions as well as the flavor and quality of food. In my opinion, compared to others, don't expect a huge dining area. With most of the Thai restaurants I've dined, the good ones, they're typically small for an almost quiet dining experience. I've found the smaller, the better in taste. It was very clean and open.
