I don't remember this being at Arunde Mills Mall but it's been awhile since I visited the place yesterday. I went into the story because my curiosity peaked and I was surprised by all the cool toys they had. Also, this store had all types of stuff for different ages. From card games, to board games, to tabletop and drinking games. They even had a freaking golf mat you could put in your bathroom when you're stuck on the toilet! I will say, that some prices are better at other stores that just carry the kits than this actual store. It was packed in here, almost to the brim. Which made browsing a bit difficult. However, if you aren't in the mood to go on a scavenger hunt, you can ask one of the many sales associates on the floor. I will say, they are very knowledgeable about what is available and where exactly in the store it is. I found what I wanted and made my way to the register. The guy at the register was very helpful and patient. He asked me what my rewards was and I had to take a minute to figure it out. Instead of relaying the information and confirming what it was, he just handed me his handheld and I was able to get the information in there for him. Once that was taken care of, the transaction was complete. I put the item in a bag I already had and went on my way.

I came in with a gift card, looking to purchase a new game for myself. I wasn't too sure what I wanted, so I asked an employee for some advice, and she was wonderful! She took the time to learn what types of games I enjoy playing and walked me through a few different recommendations, explaining how the gameplay worked for each of them. You'll meet…read morehelpful adults of all sorts of professions including art teachers, various aged kids and families. It's quiet and Jake and others are willing to teach games and painting. I started looking for a painting class and Jake said if I came in on slow nights he'd just help me and most of my paints are another brand. My painting has improved. I've watched his calm demeanor with kids and while running the store. They have game tables you may use and they're sturdy. I should have written a review long ago. I look forward to normality so people can hang out again.

Hardcore gamers mix with part-time hobbyists and rules arguments take a backseat to enjoyment. If you want to get into Warhammer, 40k, or Lord of the Rings wargaming? This is the place to start.

The same elderly woman opened another register to assist the customer in front of us. Naturally we started looking at the products that are in the check out area while we waited. The customer that was in front of us had an issue and left so it was our turn. The elderly woman proceeded to wave over the female customer behind us and she said that we were in front of her. We kindly insisted that she just go ahead and check out and we'll wait for the other employee further down. Then the elderly woman rudely said "come on, put your stuff here" and then decided to tell the customer behind us that the line starts where she's standing and that there should be blinking red lights signally that the line starts there. At that point it was VERY clear that she had an issue with us because of the book we were purchasing and tried to insinuate that we were stupid. Fine, you have a personal opinion but you are at work and are supposed to be providing good customer service regardless of your personal opinions. At no point were we rude or passive aggressive so her attitude was very uncalled for. Feeling done with the situation, I handed her my book and she hurried through our interaction. We kept our cool and were respectful, she asked if we wanted a bag and we declined and then she gave us our receipt and I told her to have a blessed day and once again talked over me.
