An absolute gem in Glen Burnie! This store has anything and everything board game-related: new games, sales rates on gently used games, board game accessories (such as dice bags, card sleeves, collector folders, etc). There is also an area to the right of the entrance where you can pay a $10 fee per person to play a large assortment of games they have in their board game room. I came in with a gift card, looking to purchase a new game for myself. I wasn't too sure what I wanted, so I asked an employee for some advice, and she was wonderful! She took the time to learn what types of games I enjoy playing and walked me through a few different recommendations, explaining how the gameplay worked for each of them. In a moment of acute player misanthropy they decided to lock off open gaming for a single event over a whole weekend. No room whatsoever and terrible communication. Staff were rude about it as well. No one game or event is good enough to lock everyone else out of the store. Staff were unpleasant and rude. There is a tabletop gaming store that is as large as a grocery store. It exists! It's a true wonderland for nerds and gamers, and noobies like me. None of the gamer stores we visited in Baltimore County can hold a candle to this place. Pay the toll and get your butt over to Ritchie Highway. You'll want to burst into tears of joy when you set foot into the store. I was under the impression that it was difficult to own/run a game store, or thats what the owners of those little shops would have me believe. But this place had loads of customers, and a bunch of other regulars in a side room used for gathering for in person play. Jeremy got his wish. A group of our friends are planning on getting together at least one Friday a month to play the Wheel of Time RPG. And he suckered me into joining. So he insisted that I pick out my own dice, rolling tray (the non-herbal kind), and a bag to hold the dice. He got some stickers and other stuff, too, cuz he's just so very into embracing the tabletop rpg gamer lifestyle. We joined the rewards program, so we'll obviously be back. read more

This place is massive and can cater to everybody! Theres sections for miniatures, a game room for playing games, a station for painting miniatures, board games, ccg, the works. The sections for board games are split up by dice games, deck builders, coop games, party games, etc. There's additional supplies for the card games such as sleeves, meeples, pieces that make the games better, game mats, expansions, even used games. Its hard to find a more expansive and well organized board game store. The miniatures area have the most popular games at this time. I saw star wars and warhammer but since this isn't my interest anymore I didnt spend much time here. I glanced in the game room and saw people playing and an impressive painting area if the home front is too small. There is a 10$ fee per person to play in the gaming area but it's worth it. Again, lots of space to spread out. Help is never too far away. At the counter somebody can answer questions, as well as people located in the center of the store ready to help. Very knowledgeable staff helped me find a few board games that I was on the lookout for. Highly recommend Games and stuff for when you want a new board game or to have a friendly spot to play in. read more

Great welcoming staff that was friendly and helpful without hovering over you, the selection was one of the best I've personally seen, whether it was D&D, warhammer, and much much more. They have countless miniatures and even had wizkid dungeon tiles for 2$ a piece! Some of the prices were a bit more than expected but still very reasonable! The space is amazing but the employees need to be trained to enforce rules without being rude about it. Rules also need to be posted in writing somewhere. My 9 year old was in the game room with his friend and one of the employees came out and made a huge deal about unaccompanied minors. These kids were quietly playing 50 feet away from me and she acted like they were trashing the place. Nowhere in the store or on the website does it post an age limit for playing in the game room and beyond that there is a way to enforce rules without being rude about it. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. Avoid at all costs. Go to Gamer-Corps, Omnihedral, and Curio Cavern instead. Jeff, Director of Retail Operations, is a very rude man who doesn't give a *#$@ about customers. I showed up on 02/14 ,and the DRO told me no open gaming with a look of contempt while an employee was in the process of giving me an entry band. I got a very hostile lecture from this nasty guy that I should look at the online event calendar. IT SHOWS OPEN GAMING FOR 02/14! Furthermore, I was aware of an 02/14 event and had called the store to verify if there was open gaming the day before, The store manager told me there was open gaming. When I mentioned this, I was told, "NO employee told you that." I don't like his implication that I am a liar, so I then named the nearby manager who had told me it was fine. The DRO then calls over this previously nonexistent store manager and gives BOTH of us a hard time, Next, the DRO brusquely tells me, "No open gaming!!!!" No apology to me nor any attempt to make things right. I tell this jerk, " I have been coming here for two years and dropping $30 - 150 a month here and that is over." The DRO jerk just shrugs. As I reached the exit, I thanked the store manager for being man enough to admit an error and apologize unlike his awful DRO boss. I sincerely hope this petty boss did not berate or punish the manager after I left. I will never return and my wargame group has already relocated to Gamer-Corps, Omnihedral, and Curio Cavern which are all in the area, do not give us crap, and do not charge us $10 to game. As a bonus, the bosses at those stores are nice, polite, and accommodating. They even greet me when they see me and bother to know my name. In fact, if someone there says I have a table the day before, there has always been a table even if it has been squeezing us in. You can bet you will see a generic reaction post from G&S of "We're sorry your last visit was not a good experience blah blah blah..." You can bet it will be hollow and empty words. read more

Talk about a hostile environment for the workers. They aren't allowed to sit or rest on anything their whole shifts. Not only that, but they have no HR, so complaints are falling on deaf ears because they don't care about their workers. Despite their abundant selection, I refuse to support a business that degrades their employees. I can only hope that the workers wise up and unionize for their own sake. In an environment like this, is it any wonder that theyre severely understaffed? I would love to see as much care put into supporting their staff as there seems to be punishing them. I'm here all the time. I'm a board gamer and ttrpg'r, I don't do card games which is another big part of this place. Pricing is okay, they stick to msrp, if you amazon or google you can get some games below msrp so you might want to shop around first if you want to be frugal. Also the price of the used games can be crazy, but I'm not in touch with the second hand market so those prices might be consistent with the market. That negativity aside, I love this place. I like to just browse and see what's new and sometimes pick something up. The selection is huge, and as my dad put it the first time I brought him, "you could spend thousands here!" The staff is friendly and always greets you when you enter and are willing to help you find what you need. One funny story about this place I have, the first few times I visited this place 2 years or so ago they had these wire racks that they stored pathfinder books on. The wire racks hooked upwards at the front to prevent the books tipping forward and off the shelf. However, since it was a wire rack this dug into the front of the book when it was tipped forward (as would often happen if you were trying to browse what books are behind it). Several of the books had gnarly dig marks in them. I told one of the employees that I think their setup is damaging their books and even gently demonstrated how the dig marks lined up with the wire racks and he just told me "oh no they came like that to us." lol ok, I didn't argue, not my battle. The books are in bookshelves nowadays, so this isn't an issue any more. read more

Every single member of the staff here is friendly and willing to help with just about anything. It doesn't ever feel like you're a burden or annoyance when you pop in, and half the time they strike up conversations about whatever you're buying or looking for. I love the environment here! If there were one thing I wish were different, it would be that they don't have any online ordering system for card singles, but when you go in and check out at the little laptop they have, their selection is actually pretty great! At this point, I pop in here to buy presents for all of my nerdy friends and relatives because they have a little bit of everything in their collection, so I know I'll always be able to find something cool and interesting for the occasion. read more

Was looking for Pokémon Leagues to play at as I look playing the game more. This spot has a well supported League on Tuesday evenings. You can play in their tournament that averages about 12 players or just come for casual play and trading. It's $10 either day and they have support from TPCI in way of play packs. Highly recommend supporting this spot. Friendly folks, plenty of parking, and glad to have come across them for when I'm close enough to play. read more

This game store is MASSIVE. It has a large variety of games from classics like Monopoly and Life to newer games like Everdell and Wingspan. All reasonably priced (perhaps a dollar or two more expensive than purchasing off Amazon, but worth it for the experience). Asked a worker for a game recommendation and he was very knowledgeable and was even able to walk me through some of the game play so I could best assess if it was a game that I wanted. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. I will 100% be stopping in again. read more

First time here and I'm in love! So many games to buy AND try. The demo shelf is the biggest I've ever seen! There's also a great community of gamers and a huge space for players in the back. And the best part? The ladies room is clean! If you're a lady gamer you've probably experienced the worst part of game stores... the bathrooms. But since this store is so huge there is a ladies-only bathroom and it's clean and there's soap and it smells good! We live 45 min. away and we're already planning on coming back! read more

This shop use to be my go to for Pokemon cards but over the past year in a half they have been raising prices on anything they can just because there are scalpers on ebay selling it for more. I refuse to go here anymore. $80 for a vmax collection box that msrp is $40. And a UPC for $300 which the msrp is $120. This is disgusting and ruins the Pokemon hobby. Down the street is level up/mtg games and they have better pricing and far better selection and online pricing is way better better than what they offer here. Don't waste your time if you are searching for reasonable priced Pokemon products you have a better chance at your local target or Walmart. read more

Besides Labyrinth, down in DC, this is my favorite game store in the area. Games & Stuff is one of the best-stocked game stores in the region - you can usually find almost anything that's currently in print here, and a lot of stuff that isn't in their used games and RPGs section. They also usually invest in popular Kickstarters, so if you missed backing a game on KS you can probably pick up a copy here. If you are into miniatures, they have a ton, as well as a range of paints and airbrushes and supplies. Their bread and butter is definitely CCGs and LCGs - Magic, mostly, but they also have regular events for Star Wars: Destiny, L5R, etc. If you are not into those, the open gaming area in the back still has plenty of space and local groups frequently meet here just to play boardgames or RPGs. I like the staff and and the atmosphere. It's a wonderful place to browse around in. If Yelp allowed half stars, I'd ding them 1/2 star for two small things. First, their prices are definitely not low. While there is a customer loyalty program, it takes a lot of purchases to make it worthwhile. (If you're not someone who buys tons of Magic cards or Warhammer, etc., on a monthly basis, then about all you get is the occasional coupon.) I understand that brick and mortar stores can't give the discounts you get online, but just know that you're paying full MSRP for everything. Second, while they maintain a friendly environment and I've never seen any poor behavior (from players or employees), there does tend to be a... well, sadly, stereotypical "gamer funk" in the back room during big events. I don't know what it is about Magic players in particular, but I don't like playing here during these events because the combination of fast food and unwashed bodies often makes for a less than pleasant atmosphere. Honestly, I'm not sure what they could do about this (other than telling customers "Hey, take a shower before you come here" which I'm sure would not go over well), but it's a thing. read more

Games and Stuff is located in a trip mall across from the Cromwell light rail station. This huge store has table top games of every stripe and the supplies to go with them. This is a place that diehard gamers will enjoy exploring, and there is something for even the most casual player. I was looking for an obscure specialized game that they did not have but were able to order, but if you just need a quick gift or something for the beach this is the place to stop in and grab it. There is a huge section in the back with many tables for people to play games. It was absolutely packed on the weeknight I was there. This is more than a store, it's a community center. read more

Stopped in to catch a game while on a business trip. Exterior: the store is located in a strip mall with several different types of stores surrounding it. The parking lot is large, though it can be pretty full depending on day/time of day. However, I've never had an issue locating a parking spot. The store's name is nice and large and the windows leave no doubt that you are in the correct location. Interior: this is definitely a large store and is separated into two areas; sales in the front half and gaming in the back half. There is ample space in the front to move through the product selection and during my visits, it was always clean. The gaming section is separated from the front by a wall and large double doors. This definitely keeps the noise from the rear from wafting to the front of the store. The gaming area has loads of tables/chairs for a variety of different games. The only reason I give this location 4 instead of 5 is because of the open gaming area. Noise levels can get pretty high due to the open area and separated areas would definitely help in that arena. Other than that, this store would be a five. Staff: The staff has always been very polite and helpful. Inventory: Awesome! There is a wide selection of inventory covering a variety of different gaming interests. Overall, a great game store with a wide selection of games and plenty of room to play them! read more

I absolutely love this store. Every time I go, the staff is polite, the selection is great, and there's always stuff going on. They have a huge play space (my friend holds a 6 table RPG event here twice a year, and they can have a magic tournament at the same time and it isn't a big deal). They also have a pretty decent game library. it doesn't have everything, but it's the best of any store I've personally been to. I don't know anything about wargame tables, but they have several if that's your thing. They also have a good selection of dice, RPG books, board games, minis, etc. I'd provide constructive criticism, but the only thing I could say would be they should be located closer to my house :p read more

Nice place. Smaller than some in the area, but bigger than most. There are a sweet collection of games - Brands running from Cheapass and Looney Labs to Rio Grande. Along the back wall is a collection of LAN machines for computer games like world of Warcraft, as well. The service is exemplary - several board games are open for demo playing and trying stuff out, and at least one of the employees was quite knowledgeable about some pretty arcane gaming trivia. I couldn't resist dropping $12 for 3 very inexpensive games - Change! , Cosmic Coasters, and The Very Clever Pipe Game. All of which should be wonderful additions to our games closet, and are pretty small and portable, should we decide to take 'em with us somewhere. Parking looks like it could be difficult - the private lot out back is happy to tow cars away - better to park on the street out front. read more

They have of course their sales floor in the front but they have an equally huge room in the back dedicated to play space for table top and card games. Definitely give them a try. read more

I'm not super big into board and table top gaming, but my husband is, so we stop by here quite often. If you're into board games and table tops, this is your place. They have a load of games to offer, including a family-friendly section in the front. Personally, I'm more of a TCG player, so I find their selection a little lacking. They really cater to Magic: the Gathering and Pokémon. If you play anything else, there isn't much for you, except the standard solid colour Ultra Pro boxes and sleeves. For specialty items, look elsewhere. My husband and I came to check out the back gaming room and play a couple of rounds of our card game. We were hoping to meet fellow players of the game, but as expected, everyone was really in to their table top games. We felt a little out of place. One patron came up and asked what we were playing, then kind of scoffed and walked away... considering it was open-play, and we could play back there if we wanted, I thought he was being a little uncool. Unfortunately I get this vibe a lot when I go into game shops. The room is air conditioned, but has the classic faint smell of b.o., sadly. There were also some greasy prints on the table like someone had been eating back there, which kind of grossed me out. We pay a pretty penny for our mats, card sleeves, and holographic pieces of cardboard we play games with- I don't really want them getting greasy. I'd appreciate it if the staff could regularly wash down the tables or do a spot check. There is a whole wall of games to try back there... so if you're thinking about purchasing one, it seems like you can check it out and take it for a test run. The staff are pretty friendly, and mean well. They often ask if we're looking for anything, then shy away when we ask about more specific trading card game items. But ask about any of the games they have on hand, and they're experts, so ask them about a game if you're thinking about buying! read more

This place is fantastic. Not only do they have the largest selection of games I've ever seen, they also have a big room in the back where you can try hundreds of games (for FREE) before you buy them. We stopped in with a few friends on a Saturday night to play games for a few hours, and had a blast. (And did I mention it was free?) Also, the folks who work here are really friendly and knowledgeable about games (but not pretentious about it). They gave us a few recommendations based on other games that we enjoy, and they were spot-on every time. Well worth the drive to Glen Burnie; we'll definitely be back. read more
