Amazing selection! Today was my first time visiting Third Eye Games and Hobbies and it didn't disappoint. They had so many game selections for kids and adults. I never knew that many (actual physical) games actually existed! The staff was super friendly and event told me about their "belly" rewards program. The store is huge compared to the looks from the outside. Games wasn't the only products in the store. They had skateboard decks, accessories, vinyl records, paints for mini airplane models, dvds, cool t shirts, and soo much more. It looks like they get a good amount of foot traffic to the location as well. I'm happy to see a local brick and mortar store doing good! The only sad part of my visit is that I didn't have enough time to really dig around and check out the games. read more

Overpriced scalper prices and garbage selection. Extremely slow shipping as well. Only made an order cause I had a coupon. Also has a scumbag store owner and worthless customer service. I ordered a preorder two weeks ago and was just sent now. All my preorders from other stores with this product arrived more than a week before. They didn't even create the shipping label until i had to message them. Then didn't actually send it for another week. Extremely unprofessional and incompetent. Wish I didn't give this trash store my money. Please avoid this waste of space read more

I called Third Eye looking for a board game my husband was interested in. I could have gotten it on Amazon but I want to shop local so I called the store to see if they had it in stock. The man who answered the phone was very polite and helpful. The store did not have the game but he checked some other resources to see if they could get it. In the end he could not get it but he was so helpful that I will probably wander down there to see what they do have. We were in love with this place as soon as we stepped inside- dinner had run long so we only found it maybe 15 min before they were to close but the two ladies working told us not to worry about it. In the end we left and decided to return the next day before we drove back home to NJ even though waiting made our day that much later - well worth it. They have their greetings down pat. Their service is excellent. A guy at the comic store walked me to the have store. They're a couple of storefronts apart. If you're a gamer this place is for you. I've started painting miniatures and the ones here are gaming figures. They sell the three better selling paints and from what I can see every or near every color. They also run painting class occasionally. read more

I love the team at Third Eye Games & Hobbies. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We were heading to a convention and knew we would be spending a lot of time sitting in queues and wanted a game that would help pass the time. We talked about what games we currently have and have a lot of, and they recommended some great dice games which were sorely missing in our collection. We almost always leave with at least one new game each time we come. The games are also priced fairly - yes, you could find them cheaper on Amazon, but you won't get someone who has played it and can tell you realistically how good the game play is, the real amount of time it takes and its replay ability (something that is super important, when you are buying a game usually). read more

There are so many different kinds of games, and the selection is great (be warned, you will experience some nostalgia -- some of those games bring back good old memories from our childhoods). All of my questions where easily addressed and I was given the rundown on the layout of the store. The selection of games is great and they have an area in the back for RPGs. This is the best board game store I've been to! The staff does a great job meeting you at the door and explaining the layout of the store, where you're free to browse a huge selection of games. Most of them are alphabetical along the walls, but some are on their own racks by topic/style. We are somewhat new to modern board games, so the racks of recommended/popular games were very helpful in picking out a game for ourselves and a gift for our friends. There is also a large space at the back where you can try out games or participate in tournaments. We will definitely be stopping by whenever we're in Annapolis! read more

Always a spectacular experience every single time I go to this store. Upon walking in, they always greet the customer and ask if there is anything they can help with or help find. Each time I have had a question, or was looking for something, the sales associate was always super friendly and knowledgeable. If they did not know exactly what it was I was looking for, they would go out of their way to find out. Huge selection of board games and they always get the latest releases. If they do not have something you are looking for in stock, they can do a special order and it usually comes in within 2 business days. Another cool aspect is the huge play area they have in the store. You can choose from a ton of demos to try before you buy and the other customers in the play area are friendly and fun. Can easily spend 2-3 hours in this store with no problem. Just an all around inviting and fun time. Keep up the great work Third Eye! read more

Superb resource for boardgames, card games, old school arcade stuff and many a war game. We have been visiting this place and the sister store, third eye comics, for years now. The staff are all quite knowledgeable about the stock, and can be relied on to be great guides down the path of finding the best item or items for your play style and interests, Tom, today, was particularly on point with his advice for the Mr Meeseeks, portal, and Simon's cat games, each well up our alley... and was more than willing to pre-order the new smash up add on deck that isn't out quite yet, and to let us know the day it arrives. Well done! There is a gaming area in the back that hosts assorted tournaments, and also has several fames available to play so you can try before you buy. I have already ranted and raved about Third Eye Comics, which is right around the corner from Third Eye Games and Hobbies. Rest assured, Third Eye Games is just as awesome! As with the comic book staff, the staff here are knowledgable, pleasant, and available. They can answer any question in-depth, and make well-informed recommendations. The store itself stocks all types of board games, from 2 players up to several players. They also stock popular card games, such as Magic, Vanguard, Force of Will and Weiss Schwarz. There is a large seating area in the back, where you can take games out for a test spin before you buy them. It's also a great place to spend time with friends or family, and try out some new games. As with the comic shop, the hobbies and games shop also stocks memorabilia such as posters, figures, and a handful of "retro" video games. Between the two store fronts, there is something for everyone. Both Third Eye Comics, and Games and Hobbies use the same loyalty rewards system, so you can rack up points at both locations to earn rewards. It may be hard to find this store, as it is on the opposite end of the shopping center from the comics shop, and around the corner- but it's worth the one or two minute walk to find it! It is definitely a hidden gem in Annapolis for game fans. read more

So, the renowned Third Eye (run by the awesome Steve and Trish) has expanded its operations once more. This time they took their small "game" section and opened a full-blown store. Located in the same strip mall, albeit on the opposite corner (and not exactly walking distance), Third Eye Games & Hobbies is a nice addition. Now, don't get me wrong... they don't have the BEST stock. I'll leave that honor to Games and Stuff in Glen Burnie. Still, they do have a good amount of stock and they often have a few items that G&S doesn't (even if G&S has some things you can't find at Third Eye.) This stock runs the whole range: board games, card games, complex tabletop games, wargames, roleplaying games, accessories, collectibles, etc. Just like their awesome Comic store, there's something for ~everyone~ on the shelves. In addition, they have a back room that's often used for a variety of in-house events. From wargame tournaments to RPG sessions, check the calendar and see about signing up. (I would, but I can barely manage a regular game with the neighbors, let alone driving to Annapolis. :P) What really makes Third Eye Games top-notch, however, is the people. Just like the awesome staff of Third Eye Comics, the people here are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They'll get new gamers started in the right direction while simultaneously chatting with veterans and helping them with their "game" (no pun intended.) So, if live in the Annapolis area, or even a bit further, you can't go wrong with a stop at Third Eye Games. Decent sized back room for play, enough to accommodate several tables. Back room does get a little loud and crowded at times, but is a necessary evil of having a popular store. There are lots of demo games to be played that range from family friendly to competitive. In response, the music can be a bit loud at times, but the staff has always been okay with turning it down. Has weekly events and demos and an active social media presence. Overall, a wonderful experience each time I go there. read more
