Updated review--I went back to Third Eye music and had an AWESOME time. Amy immediately greeted us and explained how the store works, showed us current promotions and made us feel so welcomed. She was helpful every step of the way, offering to check stock, sizes, and grab anything we were interested in. This level of customer service is so rare and valuable, and it was consistent in each store (comics/games) that we visited. Amy was so fun to talk to, we really appreciated the experience. You can tell this business is truly run out of passion with the attention to detail and care they put into it. I cannot recommend all of the stores enough, and will definitely be back for my Christmas shopping very soon. This place is why I support local!

WOOOOOWWWW. 3-in-1 stop shopping! Who does that!?! THEM! Incredible inventory for comic collectors, movie buffs, gaming aficionados, fans of funko pop, anime, pop-culture. Impressive selection of books ranging from A-Z, spirituality, etc. And near and dear to my heart some Photography books, Hip-Hop figurines, and vinyl! I promise you, you'll find something! And, re-live your adulting sucks childhood, wandering through. Staff was super friendly and eager to help! So glad I decided to check 3rd out!

    All kind of cool stuff

Definitely recommend... we spent about 2hrs between the two stores and barely scratched the surface ... there is so much to see. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Impressed! I am really impressed with this comic store. I can't say that I have much to compare to as I am not a heavy comic reader. Side note: I'm willing to take any recommendations!! My interests are apocalyptic, zombie, slasher, & animals. Not too interested in super heros. The store had a signing today- X Lives of Wolverine with Ben Percy, so it was busy in there. The isles are tight given the signing but I still had a good time browsing around at what they had to offer. Our main goal was to look over at all the graphic novels for my daughter and then look around at the rest. We ended up getting a novel for her called Katie the Catsitter. They have a better selection than any other stores, which made me happy! Lot of kids in the store too! SO AWESOME! We made sure to remember some of the other books that we plan to pick up next time. As I made my way to the comic section, the whole left side of the store was all comics. They are in alphabetical order and there is ALOT! I really wanted to pick up a few just to see if I'd like it, but became overwhelmed. I'd hate to start a comic which it's not the first issue. Am I wrong for that? Anyway I didn't get any comics. If I had more time, I will definitely dig into them more. The staff was super friendly. The check out was speedy. If you have the time and you are in this store, then you should definitely go next door to check out the Third Eye Game and Hobbies store as well. We will go back for sure!

One of the first things my husband does when visiting a new city is Yelp all of the local comic book shops near by. I'm not a comic book person myself but as his eternal plus one, I've been around the comic book shop block. I had heard about Third Eye Comics through their sponsorship of Awesomecon over the past few years but I was not prepared by how massive this comic book warehouse (store is an understatement!) is. As soon as we walked through the door, our jaws dropped. This was Comic Book Mecca. We were greeted right away by a sales person who gave us a quick lay of the land and left us to explore. All of the sales people that we met that afternoon were so friendly and didn't even bat an eye as my one year old tried to crawl out of my arms and touch everything (I don't blame her, this place is awesome!). There's Japanese candy, kawaii plush dolls of every size, color...food...monster..., Hello Kitty board books, and just everything. We had a lot of fun browsing around. I love how inclusive and friendly the store is and saw people of every race, gender and age milling about. They are even wheelchair friendly! Tons of space to go through all the aisles and they even have a ramp. This place is truly a special gem.

Graphic novels, facsimile weapons, and toys!

Was in town for a short stay. Thought I'd drop by before the flight home. Pretty easy to find off…read morethe highway. If you're looking for new comic books, it's a nice bright store. Everything is arranged nicely (marvel, DC and Indy). Was surprised they still had certain issues on the shelf still. There are some older books behind the counter and back issues in the back back but not taken care of too well. So if that's what you're looking for it's your LCS.

It's a roomy store, compared to a lot of comic shops, with a lot of recent series, if not the most…read morerecent issues of those series. Their margins must be tight, as they open at 10 AM on Wednesday, and some titles are sold out by 11:30. So, they appear to be under ordering, so as not to have to potentially sit on stock. Not too long ago, they changed their policy where they wouldn't be ordering variant covers unless you specifically pre-ordered them. Sure, that's their prerogative, but many variants are open-order, not requiring any minimums on the part of the retailer, so it just seems...odd. The service...This is my biggest gripe. Often, I've gone into the store to find the cashier talking to a friend/acquaintance. A customer might want assistance, and the cashier is visibly annoyed that he has to stop his conversation to provide customer service. Then, once the customer checked out and left, the cashier would turn to his friend and say something like "That's the guy I was telling you about", with a laugh. So, they seem to joke about their customers - the people keeping them in business - and it just feels unprofessional. I've worked retail, so I get it, but those aren't conversations to gold loudly, as other customers are in the store. I mean, what are they saying about ME when I leave? This has happened more than once, while some of the other loud topics of discussion aren't always appropriate for "polite company". The most friendly employee, sadly, passed away recently, so we're left with the ones talking behind our backs.

Fantom Comics - They have children's books too.

Did you see the new Superman movie? Superheroes are popular for kids and adults. I think everyone…read morehopes to be a superhero in some way. So, when you feel the need to feed your inner superhero head on over to Fantom Comics. A well organized oasis for comic books, mysteries, children's books, toys, and Japanese anime characters. I love the way the space is designed so you can sit and look at the books, before you buy them. I thought prices were reasonable and the quality of the comic books was great! Like brand new first editions, they were spotless. Service was excellent. The gentleman at the counter was so helpful and friendly. If your inner superhero is calling then head on over to Fantom Comics.

I'm always looking for fun or great comic book stores and love to support them. This one…read morewas...okay. It's a small store so I get it. They can't handle a lot of backstock. And I do appreciate that they have a fairly nice kids section. But their selection of books runs sparse and they have barely any other products. It's like they dabble in collectible card games without having anything substantial. PRODUCT: Really very little. Despite a huge sign proclaiming they sell Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Pokemon, they did not have anything substantial to offer and from the look of their old product, they don't carry much at all. In terms of comics, it's not much at all. They have far more graphic novels. I'm not sure if this place wants to be a book store more than a comic book store. SERVICE: Okay. Nothing spectacular. Didn't feel like I was valued or helped much. The stairway leading up to it was filthy. COST: Average. Not inflated but not inexpensive either. No real bargains.
