This review is specifically for the Little Builder class. If you're unaware, Lego offers various activities for kids. This particular activity is offered prior to the store opening and is FREE for toddlers. Classes are about 30 minutes long and they get a surprise (stickers) at the end. The kids get to dive in and use their imagination by building things. On this day we built an animal sanctuary. The kids were able to use the legos to build towers, trees, and the like. Once complete, the staff brought out the lego animals, which the kids loved. The staff were amazing and patient with our little ones. I believe the classes are offered monthly- they fill up quick. I really appreciate immersing my kiddo in different activities where he can learn new things. We will definitely be returning. read more

With Christmas upon us it appears that the nieces and nephew are into Lego now...exciting time to be alive. I had a clue as to what they wanted, but I obviously did not have it memorized before entering the store. And what I am about to complain about is something outside of their control, cell service. This place was a dead zone for me, so I had to leave several times and walk down the corridor to get service so that I could have a visualization of what I was looking for. With that taken care of, I came back into the store ready to shop. Upon entry you are greeted warmly by the staff near the front door. Each person that entered were greeted and asked if they needed any help. I kind of already knew what I was going to grab, just needed to locate it on the shelves. I grabbed the one and started looking for the other. I wasn't able to see it, but I kept looking. Until I was frustrated enough that I asked one of the employees that were greeting people and she jumped all over it. I showed here what I was looking for and took me to the section that it should have been in. Unfortunately it was not something that was on shelves and she feared that it may have been retired. She did point out a few other packs that were in the same genre, but something I don't think my nephew would be able to handle at his age. She also pointed out the most expensive one and of course it was already a nope on that. I thanked her for her help and continued to browse. I did end up finding something else for him that ran in the same vein, but not exactly what he wanted. It'll do. After all that, I continued to look and for some reason I felt compelled to buy one for myself. It had been ages since I played with Lego, but I understood now that no one can tell me otherwise. Grabbed my item and stood in line. When I reached the register, or maybe I should say the counter, there is no typical register in here, I put my items on the counter and let the employee start to ring me up. I don't usually do this, but I signed up for their rewards program, I figured I might end up here more than I bargained for in the future. What was nice was that they had a promotion going on where if you bought a certain amount you got a free item for the holidays. Bonus, I now had two sets to put together for myself. read more

If I walk into your establishment and you do not speak, I will not patronize your business. On top of that, if someone walks in a minute after me and you speak, that's even more of a problem for me. Asking if they needed help, were they looking for something in particular, etc. is it because I didn't have children with me? Or is there a bigger issue? I love the Lego store and I buy almost every time I go to one. I just did not appreciate this experience. At all. read more

I love this store! The kits are creative and engaging, and the customer service is usually excellent! I don't think we've ever had a bad experience with any team members here. They have a pretty big selection of sets for the size of the store! You can usually find anything you're looking for, at least among the latest/popular sets and genres (i.e. Star Wars, Ninjago). The prices are what you would expect. There isn't a "mall markup" or anything like that. If you want to complain about the cost, you'll have to go to corporate. ;) It's a great store that we love to visit every time we're at the Mall. I hope it never leaves! read more

There are days when you simply must have the newest thing, whatever that thing might be. Today was one of those days for me, and I'm glad that the staff at the Annapolis Lego store was able to help me get my hands on the perfect set. This is a smaller store than the Arundel Mills location, but they have all of the current sets. In fact, they had the set I needed today even after the larger store had sold out. Lucky me! I know that I'll buy more Lego in the future, and I believe I'll try this location first the next time. When falling into the Lego trap, be sure to sign up for the free VIP card. $5 back for every $100 spent adds up quickly, and the program has a few nifty extra sales and promotions throughout the year. read more

Very friendly staff, clearly trained in working with children. There are stations for kids to build things. The Pick A Brick wall is great for getting a variety of kids and ends -- eyes, windows, tires, etc. One Big omission is no seating for adults while they watch the children play and explore. Maybe that is deliberate so that they hustle their kids to pick something out and get the heck out of the store cuz grandma's getting tired of standing around!! read more

We spend time in here with my 6 year old every time we come to the mall. They have a little Lego Man building station which is rather pricey IMO at $9.99 for 3 little men made up of 5 pieces each. Anyway...my son loves to stand there and create different combos of little men even though we don't actually buy them. They also have a little Duplo section for younger kids to stand and build at. The associates are always very friendly and greet you when entering the store. The store is clean and organized nicely too. They seem to have a great selection of all different types of sets for different ages....three walls full. Great place to come if you're looking for a gift for someone or even for yourself! read more

Conservative shop space located by the Macy's in the Westfield Annapolis mall. Staff members are pretty friendly, handing out Yoda ear crowns to little kids as they build their own minifigs, explore the digital models of major builds, figure out how to piece together a bobsled a la carte, and feel through the mystery series by the counter. Build series selection is pretty good: Monsters haunted house and minor propping, X-wing, B-wing, Death Star, etc. Prices competitive compared to Target and Toys'R'Us thanks to rolling sales. read more

Free kids activity first Tuesday of the month! So far I've taken my kids to the free first Tuesday event twice. The project that they give the kids is easily worth $5. Last month was a small airplane and this month it was a Frankenstein monster for Halloween. My kids love it and it's pretty smart on Lego's end. Because I've been to these activities I found out about a new Lego product (called Fusion) where you build something and then import the thing you built into an app on your iPad so that you can create a whole virtual city. So far they have a girl city, a regular city, and some kind of tree fort thing. I'm getting it for my kids for Christmas but really it's for me. The kids are going to wonder how there is an entire city built the day after Christmas when each of them only created one building each. I'll tell them that elves snuck in and made more buildings and they'll be scared and stop trusting me because I'm allowing small creatures to enter our home after dark. Then they won't be able to sleep at night and I'll have to let them stay up and build more lego stuff and make my virtual city bigger so that I can win or something. read more

This store and its employees are definitely worth a solid review. I spent 3 and a half hours there with total OCD and a million questions. There was a group of employees there, Vince, April and Ryan who were absolutely amazing. They, especially April took the time to answer all of my millions of questions and went truly above and beyond any kind of customer service I have ever seen. I'm incredibly appreciative of the time and attention they gave to me, without ever making me feel like I was any kind of burden.
