We went to Shorty's yesterday around 6:30pm and it was a Monday so it was pretty quiet. There's tons of seating both inside and outside on their patio which was nice. We started inside and our server was nice enough to let us move outside. There's a couple of fire pits which were lovely and really added to the ambiance. We ordered quite a few things. Their strawberry mock-Arita was both reasonably priced and pretty good. The wings were decent and the onion ring tower was crispy and fun to see. I thought the Mac and cheese and the teriyaki bowl were decent. My friend asked for no cheese on her cali chicken and it took time three times to get it right but they were really apologetic about it and took it off the tab. I thought the Pitt salad was just okay and the pizza box fries were pretty good. I did really enjoy the fried Oreos - they were crispy and hot.

Had a great time here at a company event. Being from Texas, Duckpin Bowling was totally new to me. Good food, good drinks, the bowling was a lot of fun.

I went with the City Girls Who Walk and we all shared a bunch of the new shareables on the menu. We ordered the pizza box loaded fries which were so good, I love how crispy the fries were! We also got the fried mozzarella bites which had an incredible cheese pull. We got the pretzel bites and I loved the mustard that came with them. We also got the onion ring tower which was probably my favorite, and the sauce that comes with them is so good! And lastly we got the pizza box nachos which used to be my go to on the old menu. I think I like the old menu version of them better. I can't wait to try the rest of the new menu items next time I go. Everything sounded so good. The service was amazing. And it was pretty busy for a Thursday night!!

SERVICE: Parking was ok for the area. Found a lot that was about a 10-min walk and reasonably priced - gold lot or something like that. Stopped past on our way to the museum. I've seen this place on social media and it looked like a lot of fun. Waiter was great, restrooms were clean, and easily found a table. Sat outside which has its pros and cons. I'm not a smoker so it sucks to pick up a swift of someone walking or standing nearby. None-the-less, the spot is cool. FOOD: I disliked my cheese sauce that came with the pretzel bites. My mother said her fries and chicken strips are ok. WELL: Would like to return with the hope of engaging more with what the venue offers - bowling and corn hole, and trying other food options.

Grilled chicken is gross that was my fault for ordering it lol

WEEWOOO WEEE WOO SODESCO FOOD ALERT this food is mid - they are selling you arcade games and duck bowling and over priced drink. The staff was super pleasant and nice and the salad was standard - the drinks were expensive compared to tequila cowboy 100 yards away. Won't go back here but if you do there are nice people who serve you.

    Pretzel bites -they were amazing

Loved it so much we came here twice in a day! Server /bartender Jessica was a shining star of this establishment. So friendly and great at her job! Will definitely come back next time we visit Pittsburgh!

Two Pittsburgh Locations- one in the Waterfront and one in the North Shore. I checked out the one in the North Shore. They have indoor and outdoors seating. The outdoors seating has fire pits which make it super fun and cozy. They've got a full bar as well as tons of tables...great spot for groups! They have games like pinball, shuffleboard, fuse ball and lanes for duck pin bowling. The food and drink selections are great. I had the Rock Me Baby for my drink- it is vanilla vodka, passion fruit syrup, lime juice and perfect bubbly prosecco! It is served in a coop glass with the cutest little rubber duck! They recently got a new food menu that is so good! I tried the pizza box nachos which are perfect for sharing. It is house made corn tortilla chips, chili cheese sauce, pickled jalapenos, Pico de Gallo and sour cream! It is the perfect appetizer and the fact it comes in a pizza box makes it so fun! Tried the cheesesteak Sammie, which was shaved ribeye, charred peppers & onions, cheese sauce on a hoagie roll, this comes with beer battered fries. The meat on this sandwich was so flavorful! Can't skip dessert- tried their tempura fried Oreos which are fried Oreos tossed in powdered sugar and serve with a chocolate sauce. This totally hit the spot!

If you are in the north shore, stop by Shorty's! It's so fun. There is bowling and arcade games. Outdoor seating with a fire pit with a view of the river. We had a mock-tail meet up there for sober friends because Shorty's has mock-tail menu with great options. I got the mock-tail espresso martini, and mojito. We also shared apps the food was so good. I highly recommend their case queso. The staff were AMAZING. I will be back!

I can't exclaim enough how happy I am that there's a place that offers some kind of entertainment in PGH other than the usual bar scene . I came here with a group of friends on a Saturday night and considering how busy they were , we all got served within minutes and was able to bowl (duck pins) within a half hour . Everything was so much fun! The duck pins were great and kept us entertained for some time . We then went outside where they had fire pits with an oversized jenga, which we indulged in. We finished the night by coming in and taking a group photo in their Photo Booth which created a ton of laughs ! The drinks were phenomenal and I think how they portion out the bowling with allotting everyone an hour, keeps things moving perfectly and quickly. Would love to go back here again.

First time here and we really enjoyed it! We were there for happy hour and service was attentive and great. We split the pizza box nachos - we devoured them before I could get a picture! Huge serving and it was delicious. I got the 'Rock Me Baby' cocktail (10/10!) and my husband got a draft beer. This space is big and open - would be a great spot for larger gatherings. There's duckpin bowling, arcade games, shuffle boards, and a free Photo Booth. We opted to duckpin bowl. Knocking off one star for cost.. $20 per person to duckpin bowl for one hour is really steep. This is somewhere to come every once in awhile or to just grab a cocktail or two!

There is usually a line but it actually moved pretty quickly.

BEST PITTSBURGH WING…read more We were absolutely not expecting this and still can't believe it. We didn't have major expectations but hoped it would be at least a top 5 wing and average meal. It was beyond that The French onion soup we saw online and everyone seemed to enjoy that. We're whores for it so had to get. I like mine a tad bit salty which this was and PACKED with onion chunks and breaded leeks on top. It was impossible to get a spoon fully without any inclusions. My new favorite The Tavern Burger. I'm coming fresh off 9 years without 5 Guys (elite) and this rocked me harder than that. This isn't a stupid smash burger. We got a juicy COOKED PERFECT RARE 8oz patty, topped with sautéed onions, and bacon that isn't crisped to smithereens. I like my bacon medium rare and that's exactly what I got. Then covered in one of the craziest sauces I have ever had, their gorgonzola cream. I could drink that by the gallon The wings.... I have never had a wing itself cooked more perfect in my life. The smoke and meatiness on them was so nailed that I could get 2 dozen plain and still have the same reaction. We got the Buffalo Garlic and Dry Cajun Ranch. These wings don't need drenched in sauce by any means or it would honestly ruin it. The buffalo doesn't ned to be creamy either. Perfect amount of sauce to cheese ration. The dry cajun ranch was a fucking knockout. For how great the wing is I would love to see more dry season options with them Cam got a Tavern Dip. I hate dips. I loved the shaved ribeye on it and horseradish, but I have never been an Au Jus man. Would 100000% eat it without the au jus Then the fries. Always team psoriasis through and through. Not sure if I'm coming off the Five Guys high but their cajun boardwalk style are even better. Get some spicy honey aioli to dip them in. Truly just shocked at how amazing this place is. Right over the bridge and cannot recommend enough going here before a game and walking over. Great spot right before, after and during sports. Very high Pittsburgh atmosphere going on I will be back so many times and absolutely worth going Downtown for

Our server (I believe his name was Cody) was genuinely one of the nicest guys ever!! Incredibly amazing energy and super kind to answer and questions or provide recs. We tried the White Sangria and they had a Pina colada both delicious and so refreshing! We have recently tried the Pesto pizza (I sub chicken on top instead) and the brisket mac and cheese which was probably the biggest mac and cheese I have ever seen and super yummy. If you haven't checked it out yet I definitely recommend it to everyone I know!

I tried a black cherry ale that was delicious. My husband got a Vienna lager he enjoyed. He got the black and gold pizza with potatoes, garlic sauce, pepper, res onion parmesan, and provolone. It is fired in their brick oven with a crispy crust. He enjoyed it but it was a little over done and it was hard to distinguish the toppings as the char was heavy. I got the carbonara. It was definitely not traditional. The sauce was very thick and almost floury. They serve it with pork belly, which does not give the same punch of flavor to cut through the sauce as guanchali or bacon. The papardelle noodle were dry and clumpy. The dish was very heavy. Do not recommend. The place is chill. It is close to the theater. I might try it again if in the area.
