Their communication was great, the charges were clearly laid out, they arrived on time, and most importantly took the utmost care with my belongs and furniture. Clearly they have been in the business for a while, because the truck was loaded so intricately and with a lot of care. We had two stops - the first to drop off stuff to the house and the next to the storage unit. With both stops - I was really impressed with the professionalism. All in all, my husband and I both agree that they were excellent value for money; and I really felt peace of mind throughout the moving process! And that's saying a lot!! 10/10 would recommend and I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer future moves!!

I moved this past weekend and hired Bookstore Movers for the job. I can honestly say I was blown…read moreaway by the professionalism, efficiency, and expertise of the moving crew. I worked with a different moving company 2 years ago that left me scarred for life with how rude and unprofessional they were. I ended up having to finish the job myself (moving my giant couch up four flights of stairs), so when I knew I was moving again, I did my due diligence and sought out a few quotes. Another company quoted me almost $800 and required a 3 hour minimum for the job!! $800 seemed steep and I knew the job wouldn't take that long... Along came Bookstore Movers who quoted me a reasonable $470 minimum for two hours of work and a maximum of $680 for 3.5 hours of work (price breakdown: $140 per hour with 2 hour min. plus a $190 truck fee). I received a quote within a few hours of requesting it. There was no deposit required and the date was booked. I received detailed emails leading up to the move about FAQs, tips for a seamless move, and the names of my crew including contact info for the crew lead. Abdul (crew lead), Niiwayo "Y.O", and Milly were SO fast and friendly. They wrapped every single item with care in drop cloths and got to moving immediately. Despite the 90 degree heat and a total of five flights of stairs, the job was finished in 2 hours. I was SO impressed. I was so traumatized by my last move that I literally had to walk away while they moved the couch in but before I knew it, I got a text from my boyfriend telling me they had fit it through the door and our living room was all set up. I was so relieved and happy to work with them. If and when we move again, (hopefully not anytime soon, lol), I will 100% be contacting Bookstore Movers... and you should too!

Everything about my experience with Ally Moving deserves a 5+ rating. Getting the estimate is easy and hassle-free. They quoted a fair price. They communicated precise arrival/start times. The 4-man crew showed up on time. They were friendly, attentive. They took VERY GOOD care of my furniture and household goods. They wrapped everything, moved carefully. And, the move was larger than they expected, so it was going to take MUCH longer than the quoted number of hours. The manager, Alejandro, got on the phone with me, communicated with his crew, so he'd know exactly what was going on, and instead of allowing me to pay MUCH more over the estimate, he asked me if I'd be willing to transition to a fixed price for the move. We negotiated the fixed price, which as MORE than fair -- it was generous... He was so concerned about making sure that I had a positive experience. During the negotiations, the crew kept working... They even sent a second crew, at no additional cost to help finish the move. Y'all! This is not my first rodeo. I have moved a LOT in the past 15 years, and I have NEVER walked away feeling like the moving company wasn't shady... I requested to have some items from my storage moved into a new space. There were two men on the job who handled my items with care and asked me questions about what was suppose to go the whole time. I had a great experience and the stress that it eliminated was well worth the money. The starting prices are reasonable and my only complaint would be that if there was at least another person it would have went by faster. I did end up paying for an additional hour, but it was WORTH it! I would recommend them and I would use them again. The next time I will be more realistic with myself about the time it will take and plan accordingly.

They were flexible with us as we had to reschedule due to weather, and had several complicated moves that were handled very well. As with any move, we took care ourselves to wrap things, communicate our needs and expectations, but I would do that with any mover. Ask questions, clarify and explain what you want. All furniture was wrapped carefully with moving blankets and secured and all breakables were treated with care. I've never seen a team of people work so hard!

It wasn't intentional, but the amount of damage we saw was much more than what I would have been okay with. The furniture and location was difficult however given that everything made it to where they needed to be, I'm sure it could have been done much more carefully. But then after putting in our claim on damages with ample proof of damages, and also our honest review, my wife received a call from one of the movers asking us to take down the poor review because they would get in trouble with the owners. Now I'm wondering goes on behind the scenes because the good reviews seems much more shady now. How many other reviews got asked to be taken down? They got the move done and did it relatively quick given the difficulty. The price was rather high given the quality of work completed. And given how quick they were to request us to take a poor review down to me deserves an even poorer review. Honestly, if they had taken accountability right away to the damages I would have felt better about a simple 3 star review. I can't in good conscience recommend Zip Moving and Storage.

I first requested a quote in late December before I even had a new apartment lined up. Their online tool made it easy to get an initial estimate without an in‑home visit, and Dasha (and sometimes Lilith) answered all my questions over the following weeks. A month later, when I was ready for an in‑person assessment, they honored my original quote even though my inventory had changed (many more smaller boxes, one less big piece of furniture). They visited on a Thursday and scheduled pickup for the next Tuesday. A team of three loaded everything in under two hours (right after Winter Storm Fern). I arrived in Seattle on Saturday, and the driver called 15 minutes after I had picked up my keys from the leasing office (I am not kidding). Despite my building having no loading dock, he found a workable spot, unloaded everything, and rebuilt my furniture solo in about 4.5 hours total. The original delivery window was up to two weeks, so four days was beyond anything I expected. I'm incredibly impressed and highly recommend DC Moving Inc for long‑distance moves.

Their price was fair and everyone worked extremely hard. I would have taken weeks to complete what they did in two days. Best of all they stayed to the quote price they gave a minimum and a maximum and came up in the middle! The only words of caution I would give to you are to expect a staff with only one or two native English speakers . The other guys are working extremely hard to please and take feedback very well, though. you may need to be clear and demonstrate or write out how you would like the box labeled for them. I felt like they did their best to respect our home, not tracking too much dirt. They also ensured that they missed nothing in our previous home packing even the tiniest of things. When they ran out of packing supplies, they called their supervisor who came by with more boxes. We paid additional to have our treadmill moved, and that wentoff flawlessly. They built all furniture that was taken apart, and I can't think of any damage we found. I would recommend treasure moving to anyone I knew. The owner called me and made sure I understood the pricing and was comfortable with the work being done at my home.
