They said they would call us when it was back up. We drove all the way back after they called and said the system was working. Instead the system was still down. While trying to get the system up and running they ignored us and instead serviced people who were buying discounted items. After 45 minutes waiting the first time then driving back and waiting another half an hour with NO SUCCESS and totally frustrated, we left. AND the crazy thing is that the employees were saying this happens on the weekends all the time. If you want to lose customers don't update or improve your system. If you want to keep customers maybe you should assist us or give us options... We would have bought the one pair and you could have ordered the other, but no such luck. REALLY DISAPPOINTED in this store.

They have always gone above and beyond to help me if I was in a bind. The staff truly does put the customer first and really appreciates our business demonstrated by their actions; therefore, when I received service of this caliber, I show my appreciation by writing a well-deserved review! During this unusual time in history with the Covid-19 pandemic I walked into the My Eye Xpert Office in Gurnee IL for another routine eye exam and I was greeted by warm greetings by Amanda who proceeds to ask me to wash my hands for safety then guide me to massage chairs to enjoy while I await next steps. I am pleasantly surprised and enjoy the wonderful massage for about 15 minutes then I am kindly greeted by Mike who proceeds to complete the pre-tests before I meet with Dr. Jeff. Mike explains each procedure and is very professional and polite as he guides me through each step of each test he performs. Afterwards he leads me back to the massage chairs for a short wait before I am introduced to Dr. Jeff . Of course, I am very happy to enjoy another mini massage, so I happily oblige and enjoy the massage chairs again! Next Dr. Jeff escorts me to the eye exam room where I proceed to get my eye exam. Dr. Jeff is truly a qualified and professional ophthalmologist! Not only does he go through the routine eye tests but he's also extremely personable and very easy to talk to, which is helpful because he thoroughly explains the results of the eye exam in clear in concise manner that's very easy to understand. Dr. Jeff explained the adjustments in my prescription were made to both my contacts and eyeglasses to ensure I understood the changes were made for my good for now and going forward. Clearly, he is highly qualified and knows his field well! After my comprehensive eye exam Dr. Jeff gave me trial contacts to wear home and asked Amanda to help me pick out glasses. I was the last appointment of the day (my appointment was at 6pm) and Amanda patiently helped me pick out not one (1) but two (2) frames even though her shift was over for the day! I never felt rushed to hurry up and pick out my glasses so she can leave and go home in fact she told me to take my time and understood picking out glasses is an important decision! Her patience is undeniable and her customer service is incomparable! In essence, I highly recommend My Eye Xpert in Gurnee IL to anyone looking for a comprehensive eye exam during and post Covid-19 pandemic! Their prices are so high that even if you have insurance coverage you'd still pay as if you don't have insurance. And if you don't have insurance, forget about it. I will give you a specific example. Their frame with Prada brand model PR A 13V is priced at over 600 usd, while online with exact same model and brand it's only 200 usd +. Same with their lens. The cost outside with insurance is same cost with them with insurance. If you ever decide to buy from them look it up first online like from glassesusa.com or other online sites. This massive mall with nearly 2M square feet of space for up to 200 retailers is always an interesting experience. The repertoire of shops here, of course, has changed over the years. Gone are shops like Sears, Borders and Circuit City. Now there's more contemporary replacements like Kohls, Hobby Lobby and Primark. While many traditional indoor malls are dying a slow, painful death, Gurnee Mills seems to be thriving at least to some extent. The food court is still quite active and the storefronts still seem largely occupied. I particularly enjoy places like 2nd & Charles, the aforementioned Primark and Five Below. The food options like Starbucks, Cinnabon and Charley's Steaks are quite good for a drink, a snack or a light meal. There are also places for the kids to play. All of this housed in a pleasant facility continues to make Gurnee Mills an enjoyable place to visit.

Update, Got a comment back from the facility... the scratch resistant coating STILL isn't up to my liking as I'll need to come back again with scratched lenses. Also the lenses are very difficult to clean, although I did purchase the FULL cleaning kit from the store.

Instead of acknowledging the mistake or working with me to resolve it, I was repeatedly ignored and made to feel as though the problem was my fault. Despite paying $1,775, a 2nd appointment with them and again was ignored.. until I had to leave and my calls for assistance were not returned. The manager, Lana, failed to follow up after several requests, and when I called again, I was abruptly hung up on. I have since contacted the Better Business Bureau and Pearle Vision Headquarters, as I need my funds to go somewhere else for prescription glasses... How HORRIBLE is that !!! This experience has been both frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere, where professionalism and customer care are a priority.
