Not bad overall, but not spectacular either. Had the koobideh salad which was decent. My partner's dish however just didn't hit right. Usually when going to Mediterranean, I'm expecting rice that's a bit more buttery and has a slight bite to it. However, the rice felt like it was overcooked and also bland/flavorless/watery. And the chicken was also just very meh. Honestly would give just 3 stars for the food, but bumping it up another star because the service was nice. They threw in an extra dessert because we waited extra despite calling ahead, and they also have healthcare worker discounts which was nice :) the place looks like it's undergoing some renovations too as there are some noticeable holes in the wall that are just covered up.

The Lamb Doner Plate - The portion is big; the Dolma(s) is/are absolutely delicious. I could only eat half of the meal in one sitting!

Beef shish kebab plate I ordered for to go the other night was so supreme. It's generously portioned with a reasonable price. What amazed me was the fluffy and yet moist rice that was perfectly cooked. The man behind the ordering counter was professional and courteous. Upon showing my $10 bday coupon he immediately applied the discount to my bill. This restaurant is almost always empty however no matter when I go here. Such was the case when I was here to place the very to go order. It's clean where it doesn't look like anyone dines in; they must het a lot of walk -n to-go or online orders (that's got to be the main source of their business. However, during the peak time in the weekdays, they may get dine-in customers from the nearby businesses; I truly hope so. I continue to support this business as I trust their service and quality.

Purchased takeout from here to try at home! I'm Persian and have been craving good Persian food here in denver. So happy I finally tried this place because the filet kabob and rice were PHENOMENAL. I also ordered ghormeh sabzi too which was very very tasty. Can't wait to return and try more from the menu.

Saffron basmati rice for family feast

Shondiz is really a catering company with a small restaurant space. Don't get me wrong the food is fantastic but if you come in expecting a romantic dining experience....It aint going to happen. The four of us opted for the Family feast...which it is...and a good deal. You get a lovely Hummus and yogurt appetizer with fresh pita, a massive plate of lamb, steak, and chicken cooked to perfection, wonderful saffron basmati rice, and dessert. Our waiter was out of sorts and the meal missed things...as they are really not setup to facilitate dinners. But the owner, Mohammad, is such a wonderful warm guy you just go with it. I would definitely come back for a great meal

Small menu means they know what they're doing! It shows! Delicious food and awesome service! Carefully curated plate a Persian restaurant with the most tastiest meat ever! The Koobideh ( ground beef) and Chicken Kabob ( joojeh)charbroiled, was so tasty plus the Lamb! It was the best lamb in recent memory! The Basmati Saffron Rice was unbeatable in taste. The grilled tomato and charred jalapeño on the side were an added bonus. The Smoky Eggplant( Mirza Ghasemi) and house made hummus. The is smoked and so delicious. Roasted tomato, garlic and Himalayan Salt, with a plateful of warm pita bread. The hummus was creamy and so tasty! I'm thinking of returning when I walked out their door!

This is what $26 gets you in totality. 5 slivers of low grade beef. Also, it wasn't good. I understand the difference between small local restaurants trying to survive vs trying to take advantage. This is most definitely the latter.

10/17/2024 review: this is my second time here. I tried this place back in 2020/2021 with a couple of Persian friends and remember that they approved. My family from out of State was here and we were looking for a place to eat and remembered this place, so we went. NO ONE WAS DISAPPOINTED; there was 8 of us in total. The food as it was the first time, tasted amazing! The rice is cooked to perfection! The Kabobs are grilled and are so savory. We tried different kinds of Kabobs (beef, lamb, chicken) - all taste so good. And of course, the service was also very hospitable. Our server was very kind and attentive to our table. 10/10! it's such a hidden gem.

Really tasty and unique dishes here! The Persian lemonade is amazing. They are known for their kabobs so make sure you try those. Quiet atmosphere and good service :)

Shondiz is this cute little Persian Grill you can eat indoors outdoors or takeout. The portions were huge and we had enough to share with our friends. The people working here were so friendly and it all came out in a timely manner as well. Everything was fresh hot and yummy. Check out my photos below I highly recommend the baklava of course !

Fun Fact: Mohammad, the founder and owner of Shondiz in Denver, believes that people want great food and great value. He offers both! (shondiz.com) If you're looking for authentic Persian food, save this post. I had such a great time meeting Mohammad and trying out this cuisine that, admittedly, I know little about. But I do know this fooding brought a smile to my face. * Koobideh (beef kabob) Lamb Chops Gheymeh sib zamini (split pea stew) Hummus Dolmades Persian saffron pistachio ice cream~(don't miss out on this) * I've been wanting to try more of this cuisine, and this place definitely delivered.

The buffet allowed me to try everything - and it's nothing like what you're picturing. There was constantly warm, fresh pita to try the hummus, whipped feta and tabbouleh. There was constantly fresh fruit out with honey yogurt that was to die for. While there was a ton of meats and cheeses to try from, the star of the show was the falafel. You can't miss trying it, it was the best falafel I've ever had. The vibes were great for brunch, and I highly recommend going for buffet style if you want to try a bunch of things on the menu.

The restaurant has this nice open feeling to it with a full bar (you can order off the full menu if a solo or pair dining) and then plenty of tables. I recommend coming with a larger group if you can so you can try lots of things. Servers are nice and attentive. Obviously you have to try various hummus plates. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.

The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The food is fantastic and the portions are generous. Prices are very reasonable. We shared the Baba Ganoush to start. This is pureed, baked eggplant. Here tahini and pomegranate molasses were added. I am not a big eggplant fan, but this was phenomenal. The presentation was gorgeous with the puree spread out beautifully on a large dish, topped with olives, paprika, parsley, and a very generous dollop of delicious olive oil. An outstanding version of this dish. We received a large plate of very fresh pita triangles to go with the baba ganoush. These were great. We definitely used them to scrape every speck of eggplant off that platter! We both ordered the Gyro Plate. The gyro meat was very authentic, extremely tender, and very flavorful. The plate included a large tower of savory rice, a rich tzatziki sauce, a nice side of silky hummus, some pickled vegetables, and more pita. Another delicious offering and a huge portion. We also had soup as the entrees come with soup or salad. My friend tried the lentil soup and said it was flavorful and tasty. I had the tomato soup which was hardy and richly-flavored. This was a great meal. There's a pastry case with a choice of many Middle Eastern desserts. My friend selected several to take home and we staggered out of the restaurant with lots of leftovers that will make a delightful lunch tomorrow. A wonderful experience.

It was pretty busy on a Friday night, but we were told that a few customers did not show for their reservation so we lucked out. The hostess was friendly and gave us the option of a booth or the bar. We chose the bar. Corsica has almost what I would call a modernized vintage decor, with high ceilings, brick walls, and interesting light fixtures. It was kind of a stylish warehouse. Upon being seated, we were greeted right away by the bartender who took our drink orders. I chose the Wolfpack, a salty and sweet bourbon cocktail, and my friend chose the Tiki Baby, a tequila cocktail with fruit flavors. Both were delicious and meticulously made. We ordered about four tapas to start with. They honestly came out almost too quickly, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they came out even before out cocktails were prepared. They did get one of our items wrong, but corrected it by allowing us to keep it at no charge. The food was great, but I liked some items more than others. The stuffed dates were probably my favorite. I was slightly disappointed in the caulini, as it is wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. Despite the food coming out quickly, we didn't feel rushed at all. We sat for a long time, and ordered more drinks, and a couple more tapas. I felt very European, as we ended out meal with wine and cheese.
