CONSTANT UP CHARGES, POOR FOOD QUALITY Stopped by mid-week for lunch. Staff member was very friendly and welcoming. Food was hit or miss. First off, the prices were waaaay above any other persian place - including in high-cost-of-living areas like LA or DC! $34 for a soltani??? The cucumber yogurt was some of the best I've ever had (even as a Persian foodie) but didn't come with bread so you had to pay $1.50 for four small pita slices (not baked fresh). The salad shirazi was very clearly not made that day - the cucumbers were brown and had a clear lemon-soaked flavor. The rice was fresh but the kabob kubideh was made thin and small with poor-quality beef. As soon as it cooled off, the texture become rubbery and tough - highly indicative of too much tenderization / premade more than 2-3 hours prior. Also, the color was off . Not even our local Moby Dick chain (think McDonalds for Persian food) gets this bad. Oh yea, half-salad and half-rice was an additional upcharge (again). Suggestion: I get it, running a service business with tighter margins and lack of help must be difficult. But instead of focusing on nickel and diming every upcharge, step out of your office and off the computer, focus intensely on the food quality, and get that right. I wasn't too impressed. The staff were friendly, but I came here for the food. I ordered a chicken kabob bowl. It was 80% rice. The chicken was ok, but not very flavorful. Thank goodness for the roasted tomatoes. They did add some flavor. It would have been nice if they included more yellow rice. It seemed only sprinkled on top of the white rice to make the color pop, purely aesthetic. Also would have been nice if a sauce was included to add more flavor. For $15 they could do better. Came here for a nice meal before a movie with my husband as we were craving something in the "Greek" genre for food. I haven't had real Persian food since a mom and pop place in San Diego, CA. This place was so good. We had the lunch Joojeh (White skewer chicken) and started with the baba ghanoush. Everything was superb. The baba ghanoush was silky and smokey. The tomatoes that came with our meal were charred perfectly. I wish there was more because the portion of rice is huge and the tomato is fantastic with the rice. Now let me say first off, I am VERY FAMILIAR with PERSIAN cuisine, my husband is Persian and I even speak some Farsi, so I have eaten many different Persian restaurants and out of all of them this one had to be the absolute worst and most expensive! I ordered 3 dinners - which 2 were beef koobideh with rice and it was awful. The beef seemed tasteless and had a strange rancid smell as if it were old meat or left out and reheated because the texture was also rubbery. My daughter and husband had two bites and excused themselves and didn't want to eat anything more. THE ZERESHK POLLO with chicken was the 3rd meal I ordered and it was just as bad. ZERESHK pollo is always served with a slow cooked chicken leg and comes with the stewed broth and leg and rice is separate. But this was not that. They just boiled some pieces of cut up chicken breast and piled them on top of the rice. Needless to say the chicken was dry, and completely not what it should have been. I paid $100 for this meal for my husbands birthday dinner and it was sadly a terrible experience. read more

They had my tip removed, so I'll do a more prominent "review." If you are Asian or potentially any minority, I would think twice about supporting this business. I was a big supporter of this business due to it being new in the neighborhood, so I provided a lot of the initial imagery and video of the spot (I should delete it all) although I will never go back because one of the owners/employees made a disparaging comment about Asians which I have NEVER had happen during my time back in Colorado. I guess when you're this dude, you live in a sheltered bubble where those sort of comments you think will have no repercussions on your business due to their being such a small population of Asians in the state, but I'm glad I now know, so that I don't spend another cent at this business. Stopped here for some side dishes. Got the cucumber yogurt, Dolmades and Hummus. They were all good but they didn't include any pita and I felt the side of hummus was pretty small for $3.75. The Dolmades have to be homemade and were melt in your mouth. I probably skipped the hummus the next time. But the other two items were terrific. read more

Koobideh kabob & salad plate is a great choice for low carb dieters since it has no bread or rice. BF had chicken kabob with salad. We like a lighter meal in the evening so perfect for us. My husband had eaten here before while in town and liked the food. Tonight, we ordered the Beef Kabob, the Chicken Kabob wrap and the Shirazi Salad. The wrap looked and sounded great but it was just a soggy chicken and rice wrap. There was no parsley or onion on the wrap only one sad slice of tomato at the end of the wrap. The picture is clearly not from the place itself since there is no lettuce either, the description with the picture is very misleading. Flavors are good but not what I wanted. I am sure a lot of people would be thrilled with the amount of chicken though. The Beef Kabob was fine and the Shirazi Salad did not look or taste from today. Things have taken a turn for the worse again. Now there is no waiter. There is only a sign that tells you how to order from your phone. Prices have gone up drastically. We used to have lunch here for about $30 and now it is $50. The lamb donor And chicken donor plates are gone. Hanil is gone. You do get a whopping big portion of rice. There is no waiter to ask for a refill on your drink. There is a "service charge" of about five dollars which apparently is the price of dining in at the restaurant. WTF? read more

They're so friendly and the food is so good. If you're lucky, you might even catch their Mom working in the kitchen! Small family run establishment with great food! Barley Soup - this soup is warmly spiced, very botanical with fresh herbs cooked in, a creamy texture with Barley and Legumes. It's the perfect thickness. It's very hearty and satisfying, but not overly heavy. Vegetarian Plate- Comes with Yummy Falafels, Pita, Hummus, your choice of Shirazi salad or Yogurt, Rice, and the Persian version of Dolmas (seasoned rice in softened grape leaves. Falafels are always crispy and golden. We've had the Shishlik and the Chicken Joojeh, both are marinated and well seasoned. The owners are also very nice. Really Love this place!!!! read more

Stopped in to pick up a quick lunch. A relatively small seating area of 3-4 tables inside. Four customers were speaking Farsi with the staff - a good sign. I ordered the vegetarian combo, which was quickly prepared. It's quite a generous amount of food, though a little heavy on the rice. My rating is based on an overall rating of the restaurant. I got the chicken shawarma wrap; the food was made fast, and it tasted great. However, I don't think it's a $14 wrap, which is much more inflated than the original menu I saw before making my trek to the restaurant. I have updated the photos of the menu. Like I said, it was good, but you're going to be paying $14 for the wrap alone. If the price were less than $10, then I would definitely give it a five star rating for value. No just no. Felt rushed, didn't feel welcomed. Owner smelled terrible like an ashtray, very off putting while trying to eat. Forced us to leave a review while we were still in restaurant, which was tacky to us. Woman was not an attentive waitress and seemed annoyed we came in to eat. Never came back to see about us or anything. Other kid was rushing us to clean and had the place smelling like bleach. Took my drink from the table while I was still drinking it. Kabob did not seem fire grilled and was a weird texture. Took forever to get our food. Over 35 minutes, then they had the nerve to rush us because they only have one cook and they were ready to go home. Mastokhiar was salty and chunky and gross. No bread or salad is served to you while you wait. Overpriced and not worth the hassle of this restaurant. Why is it rated so high? Speaking of high, our bill was insanely high. I really love this place! I have only tried the royal kebab, and it is perfection! I went with a group of friends, and the staff brings the yogurt cucumber salad and Shirazi salad to share for the table. The royal kebab has a skewer of ground meat and a skewer of chicken pieces, they are both grilled, and the saffron rice is just a plus. The food is great and the staff is really friendly! The lamb was okay - I could tell it had been cooked on a spit but it lacked overall flavor. Sauces were good, but again a little bland. Rice was nothing to write home about, it had zero flavor. Hummus and falafel were bomb! Falafel so crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, soo good. Tbh, I probably wouldn't return. The meal just wasn't memorable, and for $10 I'd happily go to chipotle and get a burrito bowl while simultaneously dowsing myself in their fresh guac. Pictures give you an idea of portion size, which was generous, albeit mostly rice. This review is only for carry out. This was a really good find. For $18, I got a big dish of rice, tomato, two quality skewers of koobideh, and some great baklava. The gentleman who took my order and cashed me out was very kind and friendly. The sauce of cucumber and yogurt and the spice all complemented the meat well. Make sure you get the extra skewer for $4 more. That's a really good deal. If you have a sweet tooth at all, try the baklava. I'll come back here for takeout. read more

Found this place by chance on a trip to Denver. The food was delicious! We got Persian lemonades that were cool and refreshing and the Royal Treat (beef and chicken skewers) as well as the Bakhtiyari with lamb. I wish I got more food because I ended up sharing all the food with my family and we are dying to go back for more! Owner + brother brought us samples of dough AND appetizers while we waited. 10 minutes later 3 plates of Kabob arrived with TAHDIG and ONIONS and TWO TOMATOES and SALAD SHIRAZI. We ordered the Joojeh, Barg and Koobideh, and they seemed to have perfected grilling the chicken without over-cooking it. Beautifully seasoned meat, perfectly cooked and a generous serving, that is exceptionally good in our book. We also got the Ghormeh Sabzi (Persian herb stew). So flavorful. Without doubt their Persian Barley Soup was the best! Food came out pretty fast, we had a great meal and the customer service was impeccable. For our drinks we had Persian Lemonade and Doogh (yogurt drink) which were very refreshing. The dessert (Zaban) was also great.
