My experience shopping at Shoe Mill was awesome. The person that helped me was patient and answered all my questions with a smile. He was also knowledgeable. I wanted to try many different size, colors, and models, and he was pleasant throughout. He even told me where to go to find a different brand. Of course, I didn't because I wanted to buy the best shoe brand which is HOKA. I ended up not buying anything from the store because they did not have the color I wanted. I had an issue with a pair of work shoes that I bought last month. And Roger was super helpful and they replaced them on the spot.

My first visit here was fantastic. I've been buying online over the past year and ignorant of the fact that the size I was ordering was too small to give me a comfortable fit and support. After my session with Cory I was amazed. He understands the value of a proper fit and how to get it. He has a background in orthopedics having worked with the VA in Minneapolis/ St Paul and understands the challenges of the diabetic who has fallen arches. He measures your foot in more ways than simply heel to toe and informed me that there are more than just one arch in your feet. I liked his easy manner and the pride he felt concerning his three boys but what I liked best about him was his ability to process my needs and let me decide what was best. The manner in which they sell shoes is a time honored tradition in the shoe industry and one I had been missing for many years. Coming from Lynn, MA, once the shoe manufacturer of the world, cobblers and shoe stores were many throughout the City. It's a shame most people don't see such value in those traditions. I left with a great fitting pair of Hokas, a brand I was totally unfamiliar with but I noticed Cory was wearing as well. I also selected a better fitting pair of Birkenstock sandals to replace some old friends I had at home. Yes, prices are high, but considering what you're investing, your health, balance, and posture, is worth the money. I'll be coming back to Shoe Mill. read more

The manager, Corey is amazing. I will be a customer for life at this location. His depth of knowledge on how our shoes have such an impact on the rest of our bodies is outstanding. You will never be able to get the amount of customer service provided by someone like Cory from online shopping. You need to go see Cory at this location and get yourself a nice looking, extremely comfortable pair of shoes. You can not put a price on being able to eliminate feet, knee, or back pain. I came into the store hobbling along, because of severe feet and everything else pain. I knew I needed a better shoe to wear. I just went here to get new dress shoes, and the customer service was fantastic!! I'm very picky when it comes to shoes, as I rarely buy new ones, but this experience was superb. The lady who helped me brought ones similar to the style I was searching for, brought suggestions, told me which ones would definitely not work, and which ones may. I really appreciated her patience, though I know I'm not easy to work with when I comes to finding the right shoe :) I almost gave up, but her suggestions helped me end up finding just the right pair. (Have had several foot surgeries in the past) I, felt heard and Kimberly was respectful with my time, and her listening and creative suggestions. Am encouraged with the choice that I made. And thankful that they bring in products to try to create more comfort and support. With Amazon and the online business its important to support shops like these. Stopped into the Shoe Mill yesterday in Gresham, had seen it before but never been in. needed a nice new pair of "flip flops" but wanted something more than a typical crappy pair you might find at a beach shop. Cory Peach was AMAZING!! Clearly he loves what he does and has endless knowledge of properly sizing your feet to get the right fit (I THOUGHT I was a size 12 and turns out I'm a 13.5!!) He also, talked a lot about getting the right fit so that it takes wear and tear off your knees, back etc. Not only did I and my wife find exactly what we were looking for, but a whole wealth of knowledge in terms of buying shoes and getting the right fit! I am not easily impressed and HATE shopping, but this absolutely was a wonderful experience! Cudos to Corey and the staff there at the Shoe Mill in Gresham! Well done sir!!! Went in and bought a pair of Dromedaris boots, which by the way are awesome. A few days later I went back to purchase another pair which needed to come from another store but that was good also. However, when I went to purchase them, Katie, who was wonderful, rang up the price which was different than what was quoted a dew days prior, Cory, who quoted the price. came out and just said that he remembered last year's price and could not make any type of adjustment. Now the adjustment would have only been $9.50 and absolutely refused to do anything after purchasing almost $400 worth of shoes. Maybe this store doesn't need customers since this was by far really bad customer service. read more

Sales associate Malini was awsome. Im very cautious of my feet and the shoes i was wearing were stinky. She could tell i was embarrassed and said "thats okay" and joyfully grabbed me a pair of nylons. She was very professional and made my shoe purchase pleasurable. I had shopped with Shoe Mill frequently for new work shoes. I have never been unsatisfied with there customer service. I did not know about there discount on Danskos before for Health Care workers. I visited the Gresham store on June 28th and Tiffany helped me. She was amazing. She was so patient while I tried on different styles and colors of walking shoes and sandals Comfort is a priority for me, she was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for comfort shoes. During my lengthy visit I voiced a concern about my small dog being in the car and it getting to warm. She allowed me to bring her in so I could continue to try on shoes. read more

Pretty typical high end shoe place. Came in here to get a second pair of Dansko shoes for my job. Friendly staff and they had the size that I needed. The one bad part is Dansko sent me two coupons and they weren't able to accept them because their system isn't programmed to a accept coupons apparently. On the good side I was still able to get a smaller discount that is used for healthcare workers. I will probably come back here again if I need another pair unless I have a coupon then I will try to look elsewhere. read more

Hands down the BEST shopping experience ever. I bought a pair of shoes 3-4ish weeks ago and needless to say, i received excellent customer service from John. Yesterday, I finally came to the conclusion that I was not going to be able to wear the shoes, due to foot discomfort. I called the Shoe Mill store where I bought them and spoke to David, the manager. I explained to him my situation, and of course as to be expected, there was no comfort warranty. Just as I was about hang up he said but why don't you let me take a look at them and maybe we can work out some sort of store credit. Well, I took the shoes down, instead of being given a store credit I was given a FULL REFUND! Well, I then purchased the same brand in another style. Again, I was taken care of by John, and given excellent customer service. They absolutely stand by what John said to me, "at the end of the day it is all about my happiness".
