Went in and bought 3 pairs of shoes... $49.99, $59.99, $59.99... Can't see the price on the register. Got home and noticed the charge on my CC...totaled $217... $47 in taxes? Make it make sense. Looked in the boxes... no receipt. Rip off read more

First time coming here and I can see why it is called Shoe City. They carry a lot of brands of shoes such as Nike, Converse, Vans, Hoka, Ugg, and other premium brands. Upon entry, you are greeted by staff but I can see they watch you like a hawk. I guess it has been because there were theft in the past months so they are careful. They follow you everywhere so it made my shopping experience uncomfortable. I tried on a few Nikes and Hoka but they just didn't fit well. Plus I've seen bettter prices at actual Hoka stores. I do give them credit for having a wheel spin for kids to see if they can win a pair of shoes. read more

Their prices are way too high and their selection has gone way down. It always boasts good prices and selection but that's just not the case anymore. read more

Super sweet people love the place been going here since I was kid came back after leaving the city and they still have the sweet deals then used too loved the energy of the workers highly recommended for age 0 to 100 LOVED IT read more

I remember when shoe city used to be affordable and had some good deals.. you're better off just going to mall now. I understand inflation but I remember when shoe city was where u could get quality shoes at a better price than the name brand store. Not anymore! I'd try WSS before shoe city now. Their clearance racks has better shoes too. Shoe city's clearance had a bunch of shoes that looked like u could sell on the street for $5.. lol. better luck next time! read more

First of all I want to thank ALMA for the excellent customer service she provided I have a foot problem and needed new pair of comfortable shoes for work she helped and guided me I'm so happy thank you!!! I went with the hoka Clifton 9 crazy comfortable. read more

Meh it's okay if you need to buy a pair of shoes for your kid in a hurry. I agree the owners are rude and yell at each other in front of you. Don't expect anyone to be helpful or friendly here. Check the shoe sizes on each shoe before you leave the store. They have a lot of inventory. Not necessarily the greatest quality but like I said if you're in a hurry it's a (barely) acceptable place to shop. read more

First time going into the store and it was really nice inside . The staff and the owner is really nice and very helpful. I came in to purchase a couple pair of shoes, and when I purchased it, I went home and noticed that two pairs of my shoes didn't have the right size length of shoelaces both pairs of shoes had different legs of shoe laces which now I have to go purchase somewhere else. Please make sure you check them before you buy it. Otherwise, this place is great. read more

I've been coming here for years and they've always had great service and a very helpful staff. Even if I have a problem with a show the staff will gladly sort it out. read more

It was just so limited when I went in to looking for hiking shoes. Someone said they have a huge variety and they do but not the shoes I was looking for. They have more walking shoes for children and women. For mens, it was sports shoes that were different from what I needed. The workers all seemed busy chatting or maintaining order. One lady was helpful but the others were in deep conversations with others and each other. Again, they didn't have what I was looking for so I didn't stay very long. read more

Went here on Friday and the shop owners were following this poor black family around the store just watching them! I was so appalled I dropped my stuff and made all three of my friends drop their items and leave. The family ended up leaving as well. Gross establishment read more

Went there for kids shoes. My son picked out a pair of Adidas and we checked to see the price and the posted price was $39. When we open the box to check the price it had a marshals tag and said $29.99. When I went to ask a sales associate about that situation they said it was the wrong price on the price tag. So I asked them if they just purchased them from Marshall's and marked up the price? Sales Associate said I don't know I just work here. They are ripping people off. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if possible. Came to get my daughter some shoes for her first day of school and like many parents it's a last minute situation but that's neither here nor there. I was walking into the store at 8:35pm and was told they close in 5 mins I said the store hours say 9pm the sales associate stated, we close the registers in 5 minutes. We have to be setting the alarm and out of the store at 9pm. With that said... store hours end at 8:45pm NOT 9PM! read more

Cheap quality, high prices, bad customer service, fake brands, dirty store. Really? Not sure why anyone would shop here.

When I arrived at this store, there were two girl employees that were sitting and just annoyed looking at me. I came in at 8:10, 50 minutes before closing. I get it, but once I saw how upset they were when I walked in, I only took 5 minutes to look around and left immediately. Manager, pls check your employees and make sure they give proper greetings when customers walk in the door, no matter what time it is. read more

Check your shoes before you purchase them because my girlfriend bought me a pair of Jordan's and they gave me 2 left sides so check check your purchases Fuck this place read more

Well... store hours said they closed at 8pm. I went with my son last night & to our surprise they were already closing their doors at 7:40pm. If you're changing your store hours why not let customers know so they don't waste their time? On the positive side, Macy's was still open and my son got a pair of awesome sneakers. read more

I've been coming here for over 10 years. Great selection, the staff has always helped me or offered to help me find shoes. If you know what you want and it's in stock it's a quick in and out spot. If your looking to show up 10 mins before closing like any other business you can expect these guys are anxious to go home to their families. read more

People who work and own this store are very rude, unhelpful and just overall sad people. Take your business elsewhere. If it weren't for exchanging a birthday present, I would have left. Your better off going online or going elsewhere. It's a rip off. read more

This place calls the local tow truck during the holiday season and gets cars towed away especially cars that are parked in handicap parking spaces regardless of the handicap person who had to suffer in the cold. First off I've been coming here for years . Sense I was a young girl . They always had a good selection like the indoor and great prices but not anymore. They went under new ownership like 2 years ago maybe and ever sence then the selection sucks and the prices suck and the customer service sucks . You walk in they don't acknowledge you . You ask for help they look pissed . The prices aren't even good . All the women's shoes are garbage and probably don't even sell . I bought shoes then got home and realized they were the wrong 2 shoes . After the guy took the sensor off and supposedly checked them too . Then I had to go all the way and take them back because of there mistake . He had the nerve to charge me more money because the 1 shoe I did want was more expensive! I would like to never come back here and I wouldn't be surprised if they went out of business . read more

I have stopped by yesterday for a pair of shoes I have been wanting. Sadly with this heat even just looking around it feels uncomfortably hot. Apparently all AC in store is on, but seems to not work. Employee Nevil has been a great help but I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I feel bad that even employees have to fan themselves to stay cool. Fix your AC ! read more

Came in on the 20th August 22 staff has no clue about shoes . Associates stood if front of the glass window looking outside talking and ignoring customers in the store . I would suggest going somewhere else read more

I entered the store only to interrupt a loud conversation between employees. They didn't acknowledge, greet, or attempt to help me in any way. They continued with their personal conversation in the middle of the aisle so that I had to walk around them!!! I walked around trying to find a particular shoe for several minutes. I was so frustrated I walked out and WILL NEVER RETURN!!! read more

Title: How is this place still open?? No really! How is this place still open? The prices here are way to high. You would think, being called Shoe City it would be more of a discount shoe store. At least have some shoe deals. Nope. Everything here are regular price or higher. Which begs the question, how are they still in business, and who are the competing with? They are right across from the mall so instead of coming here (where the parking is horrible and a tight fit, and strangely a one way) , you would instead just go to the mall to pay these prices. They are the same. Only difference is that even though this place is pretty big, they don't have all the name brand shoes that you would be looking for at other shoe stores in the mall. My experience with the employees weren't as bad simply because I refuse to buy shoes here, so I don't ask for help. I have only been here 3 times. First time - I thought it was a discount store. I was way wrong. And after seeing the prices got out of there. Second time - I forgot about the first time. Show up, saw the prices again. And was like come on kids, lets go someplace else. Third time - I only came for some shoe laces for shoes I purchased elsewhere. There were 2 employees at the front desk. One of them was on the phone helping out a customer. The other walked away. So I guess that was bad. But whatever. I probably paid way to much for plain ol' shoe laces though, simply by going off of the shoe prices here. read more

This is the place ive been to every time i want or need new shoes and it has so many different shoes and everything there is cool

Updated review, my last review was 4 stars. Apparently I just got lucky my first few times here, last couple times have been a lost cause. The help hasn't got any better, but the shoe selection has gotten worse and the prices have gone up. If you are lucky enough to find a shoe in your size (not just me, I was looking for me and 3 kids, no luck) make sure they aren't factory rejects or returned displays. I found a few pair of shoes that had one side of the sole yellowed. Prices have gone up significantly, I was able to shoe all three kids with $75, now it would be more like $90....if I could find shoes their size. I think I'll hit WSS from now on, but not the one up Van Buren, that store is junk too. read more

Today we bought shoes and Alex was very helpful thank you for the great service and reasonable prices good employees makes a difference

I went to a Shoe City store near Tyler mall in Riverside. This store is filled with shoes that are poorly made, of inferior quality, and do not justify their asking price. Yet an employee named Yolanda repeatedly kept forcing me to buy a second pair shoes that I didn't need. Then she started pushing me to buy almost everything in the store. Absolutely shameless attitude. For young girls they have shoes that are ugly looking and very uncomfortable. read more

I am actually a traveler here for work decided to go shopping for my kids today never been in a shoe city or heard Of a shoe city ... I see why, their shoe selection is trash .. besides that they are Very racist .. staff stood in right in the aisle where me and my children were and watched only us. instead of being treated like a customer who has money to spend I was treated like a criminal. I am Very disgusted I will never shop there again read more

I went in to buy some heelys for my son for a Christmas gift. The people who worked in the store were rude. And not very helpful. When I walked in, one person showed me where they were, and then just disappeared. Then after I hunted someone else down, who was somewhat helpful. But that was after I sought out the help. It wasn't like she was ' making herself available' to me. In fact, it almost seemed as if she was trying to be too busy to be bothered at firs, and the store was not very busy at the timet. When I made my selection and went to pay, I asked about the return policy for Christmas. The girl told me that I can get a refund anytime within 30 days, as long as I had my reciept. I asked for clarification, as the holiday was just over 30 days away. She then said that I could do an exchange, but not get my money back. Finally, as I was about to walk out, I asked where the restroom was. The girl just pointed in the direction of 3 different doors, none of them marked restroom. I asked exactly which door is it, there are 3 here. And all she said was "Oh, someone is in there..." That is when I walked out. I am going to see if I can find the merchandise I bought elsewhere, and then return theirs back to them, so I never have to deal with them again. The only reason I gave 2 stars, was because the one girl was semi-helpful, but overall, I was disappointed. read more

Walked in , didn't get "hello" or "welcome" or even a look. Shoes I purchased were not in the section that they were suppose to be and when I cashed out the man, probably the owner, did not say anything to me other than the total. Worst service and experience I have ever encountered. I ended up returning the shoes in the end. read more

Just like everyone else expected better price's/better selections, so did I. Okay first to all, customer service, there is 2 Indian folks in the shop, one older nice man, and the other one is like the manager assistant, the assistant has bad attitude, when he was serving customers and ringing people up this dude really said "next" but yelling, you go up the counter and he scans your item and tells you the price, he doesn't greet you when you get up on the counter or anything. Second, the prices, the shoes have a regular retail tag that says 170$(for some Jordan's which is regular on the price) and these dudes put a big tag saying 169$ and call it a sale price, and they're not even the nice Jordan's, these are the regular outlet team Jordan's that go for like 70-90$, also for some reason they RESELL some shoes, whenever they get decent shoes like air forces or random retros they uo charge it above retail, what is the point, no good customer service, no good prices, no good variety, shut down already do everyone a favor read more

A whole lot of "Bait" and some switch. They have 3 huge painted "Nike Cortez" on their windows. Yet, when you go in and ask for Cortez the rude workers are "We don't have them yet" and then changed it to "we had them - but sold them all - and we'll get more in a few weeks - come back then" The upshot, is that just because they advertise a shoe - don't expect them to have it. Wasted trip - wasted my time. read more

Just leaving. No customer service store only had 1 other family and no one offered to help find kids shoes. We outta here.

The store is always clean and usually well organized. The staff is friendly and has always been willing to help when asked.
