I hosted a surprise anniversary party for my daughter and son-in-law and had Shiraz cater the event. I was able to order from an array of selections the day before the event with no problem. The restaurant personnel helped me tailor the menu with choices that would satisfy all the guests that were invited. I ordered the cilantro rice, sour cherry rice, the plain rice, the salmon, the chicken barg, the beef luleh, hummus and the shirazi salad. They delivered the food on time and helped set up the items. The whole experience was easy, the staff were professional and courteous, and the food was delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. I would recommend this restaurant for your next party. You won't be disappointed. I also had the good fortune of attending a meeting at the Glendale location recently and had dinner there at the restaurant. The food and service was great. There is a nice outside patio for alfresco dining. There is a sitting area with a fountain to relax with a friend and enjoy some tea or coffee at the back of the restaurant. There is also ample seating inside the restaurant, including a separate upstairs area good for private parties. I was taken here for the first time this week for a birthday lunch. It was delicious and way too much food! Very reasonable priced lunch menu. I had the ground beef kabob which came with a large dinner salad, basmati rice, broiled tomato and pita bread. All was excellent. I took more than half of everything home for lunch the next day. We also ordered an appetizer which I had never tried before. It was a ground eggplant.. Kibedeh? Something like that, it was not baba ganoosh. I really loved that and I'm not a fan of egg plant. The ambiance of the room made it more delightful. It was not busy so two of us sat at a table for six as we liked the location in the outdoor patio that's shaded and cool. There are plants and trees which make it very pleasant. Our waiter was also very pleasant and attentive. It was a quiet lunch for them but I understand the evenings and weekends are very busy. Been a Customer for 10 years. Waited a week to a write this review. Their service has gone down tremendously over the last couple years. Last week, we were seated after waiting for 5 minutes and my wife told the hostess we don't like the outdoor table as it was super cold and the heaters did not reach the table. We have 2 kids (not babies). The hostess was upset and made us wait literally 25 minutes and then sat us at a table that had been open the entire time. She tried to teach us a lesson. She then had the Audacity to make it a clear point that we should not have said anything about our first table. Point taken: Stop hiring 18 year olds as hostesses when you lost a weekly customer. If you do go, ask for Victor to be your server. He's indeed the very best they have. read more

THIS PLACE DOESN'T DESERVE A ONE STAR RATING!First of all, this restaurant has poor service. We had to wait awhile to get our food. In addition we had to tell our server what we wanted several times. THIS PLACE DOES NOT HAVE ALCOHOL! If you want ALCOHOL you need to bring your own BOTTLE. The server failed to tell us that there was a liquor store around the corner so we can buy our alcoholic drinks. We finally got our food and it was good. There was an issue on the menu it clearly stated a salad was included. When I asked the server he said that I have to ask for the salad. The salad is upon request. Seriously it is written in the menu! The only good thing here was the dessert. I will not return to this place at all with the mediocre service and no alcoholic drinks! read more

It was supposed to be a delivery...Do not call prior to 12:00 afternoon because the company by the name "Awesome" will take your order and it will become a complete mess. The "Awesome" has no clue what "lamb chops" means and asks to explain what "luleh cabob" is. After 10 minutes of spelling and explaining, the order was misunderstood. When I called again, the "Awesome" transferred to Shiraz, and the manager demanded that I have to call and cancel my order because I gave a wrong order!!! My congratulations to other restaurants because from now on, my friends and I will never order from Shiraz and they will lose $1,000s, while others will get that money. People will have different opinions about service and restaurant style, I gotta say I had great service here in May 21, for a party of 19 and were not an easy group to please. From the first call to make the reservation to the closing of the bill we had a fantastic experience. Happy ending story, We came here late night from Volleyball match (USA vs Iran) being happy and starving :) The only place which was open-according to Yelp- was Shiraz restaurant. We arrived on time but the kitchen was closed. There was a nice, handsome guy named Bryon -General Manger. Although we didn't eat there that night, he asked us to come back tomorrow and be his guest, amazing isn't it!? went there with my GF in around 5 pm one evening, no one there to greed us and give us a table there was no one around! so we first were on the hunt for a moving human being in the joint! we found one! only to hear that they are closed! wtf?its before 6 pm! I have been to this place a few times before the the fillet minion"BARG" on one occasion was excellent! I even mentioned it to the waiter how good the meat was! I am a long time chef so I know how a fillet should be cooked and tenderized! having said that unfortunately this perfection doesn't always stay in place, changing cooks , different meat quality purchase etc what ever! the main complaint is that they dont have attending staff when a guest arrive! after all this set and done I am reading some nasty reviews about the meat and chicken quality which brings me back to what I stressed above "the change of quality meat" so I actually was going to there now for late lunch early dinner but I had a change of heart, bcz I dont want to spend over 70 bucks and leave disappointed! read more

My friend and I experienced eating there on Tuesday, 5/10/22. My friend ordered the regular chicken kabob and I ordered the salmon kabob with the cherry rice. Both were delicious. I had a couple of Baklava and it was really good. The only complaints I have are: you have to pay for water and the coffee wasn't very hot. Other than that, it was a pleasant lunch, plus we came around 3pm so it was nice to have the restaurant quiet. Will definitely go back. read more

I have dined at numerous Persian establishments were either the food was mediocre or the service was crappy. Our service Rodrigo, came by several times to make sure we have all we need. He is super nice, polite and precise at getting all orders and requests correctly. By far these guys are doing an excellent job. We stopped by on a Friday night and they even had a singer/keyboard guy who was playing some fun music. He even takes requests, if you ask him to sing a specific song for you. We came here last night for the first time and it will not be the last time. The food was fantastic and that is what I go out to eat. I had the Rack of Lamb and rice. Never tasted lamb so tender and well favored. Daughter had Lamb shank with Orange rice. That rice was soo good I came home and looked up a recipe online. And the amount of food is great. Everyone took leftovers home. It gets buzy there on a Saturday night but everybody is happy. read more

They have the best ghormeh sabzi I've ever had in a restaurant, and the gheymeh was really good, too. The only thing was, I ordered two dip appetizers with my takeout entrees, and they didn't put any pita bread in the bags for them, which I'm sure was just an accident, but...always check your bags while you're in the restaurant, guys :( read more

This review is not for the restaurant downstairs but rather for their upstairs venue rental. Went here for cousin's wedding & the service was terrible! The tables weren't ready before guests arrived, no one was in charge of lighting & there weren't enough staff, though the servers who were there were nice & polite. Some super drunk guy even tried to crash the wedding but I (as the bridesmaid) told him what was up. Basically, it didn't take too long to realize management was crappy. Oh wait... Zero star is what I would award. As for the third time I asked them to have the koobideh to not over cook and dry. Every time I asked them for the meat to be juicy. So I called the manager told me with no hesitation " I go out to restaurants as well. If I went to a restaurant for 3 times and not get what I want I would never go back again". I asked " So are you telling me not to come to this restaurant?" He said " I don't know how else to tell you". This was the worst response I have ever gotten from a manager.
