Came here for a work team dinner with a group of 16 and had a great time. The restaurant is really nice and the staff was super friendly and accommodating for a big party. Plenty of Parking spot but it is behind the restaurant in the back alley. There's handicap parking in front or you can do street parking. The food was amazing. They offer both family style and individual plates, which was perfect for our group. Everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious. The tahdig with ghormeh sabzi was hands down one of my favorite appetizers, perfectly crispy and so tasty. We also loved the hummus and mast o'khiar, and the complimentary pita bread on the table was a nice touch. The chicken and beef soltani everyone thought it was very tender and super tasty, portion also generous. They have a beautiful covered patio that worked really well for our large group and it made like a private area for us. Overall, great food, great service, and a great spot for group dinners. Would definitely come back.

Outside dining are at Shiraz Restaurant on the way to private room.

Second time dining at Shiraz Restaurant and we had a wonderful experience. We celebrated my nephew's baptism and reserved the back room for 24 people. Excellent customer service from beginning until the end. This was also the same last July when we celebrated my uncle's 70th birthday here and reserved the private room in the back. There's a huge parking lot in the back specifically for Shiraz Restaurant and it's free parking. Once you park you can enter through the back and will be welcomed with a pretty water fountain and garden area seating. We reserved a private room for the back and it was beautiful decorated and plates seatings were properly set. Delicious Persian food at Shiraz Restaurant. We were served fish, beef koobideh, chicken lule and chicken shish kabob along with basmati rice, grilled tomatoes, grilled onions, vegetables, hummus, yogurt, soda and tea. The fish, beef and chicken were all grilled perfectly. They were tender and savory. They were not over cooked. The servings were plenty per table. The customer service by the waiters were excellent. They kept checking on us to see if we need anything and they kept replenishing our water. Food was served in a timely manner and they assisted in everything that was needed. Thank you Shiraz Restaurant for your consistency. Your staff always provides excellent customer service and delicious food. See you again for our next family event.

My cousin is visiting for the first time and I was raving about Shiraz. We walked in at 7:50pm on a Thursday evening and the employee told us that they close at 8pm. If you google Shiraz restaurant, under places. , they close at 9pm. So I asked him, "are you sure? It says 9pm here." He said yes after covid, they close at 8pm. And yet, after checking yelp, it says 10PM and it was updated 2 months ago. If your employees are turning away customers, you have a big problem. Very disappointed. Luckily, there are neighboring Persian restaurants available.

The crispy fish. Please try it.

Came here as part of a large gathering. Food was served family style so they definitely have the capacity to host receptions of most sizes. Food is quite delicious and I'm a happy girl when koobideh is placed in front of me. The crispy fish was my favorite. Wasn't too salty and the crunch was perfect. Also the tea they serve with dessert is divine. I believe it has a hint of cardamom in it. If you like Sadaf's cardamom tea, you'd probably enjoy this a lot. Ample parking in the back. I just wished they had more accessible options for those who are handicapped. We had someone in our party who uses a cane and it would've been nice to have a spot for her where she didn't have to walk as far. Or maybe they had spots but I just didn't see them?

Awesome!! Grabbed a tahdig with ghorme on top- wonderful. The piece dé resistancé though, was the chicken barg. Unreal portions and taste!! I got it with cilantro rice- what a meal! Tasty and tender and juicy- I'll be back!!

Just received an order via Grubhub. The food is delish but would like to ask the restaurant, if someone reads reviews, to pay closer attention to the details. I paid to upgrade rice to albaloo but we received regular rice. Had also left comment to send stew "on the side" and that too was ignored and the tahdig was not crunchy upon arrival. I also monitor the amount of rice at each meal and having the rice already mixed into the stew is not optimal. Disappointed but do enjoy Shiraz' food.

The food was delicious and they have generous serving sizes! The restaurant is cute and makes you feel like you're in Greece (I've never been to Greece)! The service was excellent! Definitely recommend checking this place out

We let the waiter know it was our first time trying Lebanese food and he went through the whole menu with us, which was extremely helpful. I love rose flavored drinks and desserts, so I was excited to try the jallab recommended by the waiter; it's now probably in the top 5 drinks I've ever had. The grape leaves and babaganoush were a must for us, since we wanted to try dishes that were different from what we have tried before. The grape leaves were herby and hearty, and the babaganoush was flavorful without the tang of a hummus, which I enjoyed. The fried cauliflower was crispy and hot with a creamy sauce that paired well. We liked the tenderloin kabobs a bit more than the chicken since it was juicer and more flavored. The interior is bright and airy, complimenting the hot afternoon perfectly. There was unfortunately no dedicated parking lot but there is street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Overall an outstanding first experience with Lebanese food, can't wait to be back!

Location 4 stars: On Casitas Avenue in a somewhat unexpected residential area in Atwater Village, North of where the 2 and 5 freeways meet. Parking is not difficult. There is limited parking spots upfront but also a large parking lot and Valet parking. Venue 4 stars: Beautiful rustic upscale venue with indoor and outdoor tables and a full bar. Service 4 stars: Friendly, attentive, efficient and helpful staff. Food 4 stars: You can order individually or share a few small and large plates as a group. The theme is modern and eclectic Mediterranean and North African. We ordered the following appetizers and shared them among our group: Muhammara, Meatballs and Octopus Carpaccio. We also ordered the following main plates: Beef Shishlik, Whole Branzino and Prime Short Rib Tagine. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate & Halva Sundae and the Tiramisu. Everything we had was creative, used fresh ingredients, was nicely plated, and tasted wonderful. Prices are on the higher side, as expected for an upscale restaurant. Drinks 4 stars: Full bar: Creative specialty cocktails, spirits, beer, wine and soft drinks. We had the Pornstar and the White Negroni specialty cocktails. Both were very good. Again, prices are on the higher side, as expected for an upscale restaurant.

To start off the interior is gorgeous and it does not feel like you're in LA. The garden vibes are beautiful. If you can sit outside I would highly recommend doing so. Drink selection is solid and all of our cocktails were just fantastic. The Bridge Bar menu is good value. It comes with an order of the dips and warm fresh pita, for the entree I chose the chicken kabob on a spread of labne and it also came with an ice cream sundae. My favorite item of the night was the crispy cauliflower followed by momo chips and the brussels sprouts. Momo chips are their version of fries served with ketchup and aioli. The brussels sprouts were smothered in olive oil and toasted almonds. The attention to detail in all of their dishes from an ingredients standpoint is definitely there. Kudos to the chefs because they really know what they're doing! Everything we had here was delicious and I will be back!

This review is long overdue because I first fell in love with Mazal as I impatiently anticipated their opening. I lived nearby and watched the progress as the owner and his father spent nearly two years building out the beautiful interior of the restaurant themselves. Everything about Mazal is a labor of love involving their entire family, including menu items that are grown in their orchard. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, whether you are in the dining room or on the patio. I'm back in LA frequently now and come to Mazal nearly every time. In addition to the hummus you have to have spicy tahini (or the new-to-me adorable mini falafel and tahini plate). My other new favorite I'll definitely have again is the shawarma oyster mushrooms, air-fried and served on cannellini bean purée with mint chimichurri. Everything is incredibly fresh and delicious. You don't want to miss the bourekas (the assortment of five cheese bourekas is something I dream about), the maghrebi potatoes (on tahini!), and the marble halva (take it home if you don't have room after all of the aforementioned must-haves and thank me later).
