This place is eclectic and a trip! Lots of interesting wine choices - several reasonably priced options. Literally packed high wall of wine with ever other nook and cranny packed with stuff. Owner was super chatty and knowledgeable-- if I lived locally I'd probably be a regular patron. Check it out if you need a really nice bottle of wine! I walked in to this petite wine shop with no expectations whatsoever. As I browsed their impressive selection one of the owners approached us and began a conversation. After a couple of minutes, he suggested several quality wines that would suit our meal choice. The owners were extremely friendly & so were their two well behaved dogs :) It was a great experience and we will definitely go back for all of our wine needs. read more

This place makes me want to sell my car to support a wine and cheese habit. While the selection isn't too huge, it's consistently amazing, and there is always someone incredibly helpful working to suggest ways to use whatever appeals to you, and inform you of products you didn't know you needed (like wine-infused sausage, fresh Alaskan salmon, fennel tapenade... essentials, of course.) It's also really well-priced for being a relatively small operation with such high quality products. Much more reasonable than similar places. It's the sort of place you can stop in to grab a bottle of wine for dinner, or browse for an hour. The service really sets it apart. The employees gladly offer suggestions, but never push anything. I'm just sad I don't live across the street anymore. read more

Ended up stopping by because I won a cookbook through a radio contest, and I'm sure it was fate. The wine selection is out of this world. Her food selection is outstanding - there's fresh cheese, pastas, beans, sauce, etc! She focuses her food from other small businesses and local farms. Prices are SO reasonable, I doubt I'll ever go back to a grocery store for any of the above food!! And I'm a broke grad student. Trust me. What a find! This store has a SUPERB selection of wines and beers, along with gourmet cheeses and other items. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and able to inform and assist, whether you are a novice or more experienced wine consumer. This is my favorite place to shop for gifts for my friends. The service is attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. They have a wine club that costs $45 a month and you get 3 wines and different delicious foods (last month was a chili ginger honey marinade). They have a great newsletter and tastings every Saturday. They also organize wine dinners at all of the good restaurants in Athens! It's kinda hard to find in the Leathers Building on Pulaski, but well worth it. read more
