I've been coming to J's since I was a kid and they've always been the best in town. Greg and Trevy are the shit, they're your resident experts and some of the friendliest staff you'll ever meet at a liquor store. Since moving to this side of town this has become our liquor store. They have a good selection of beers and spirits. They especially have a nice selection of bourbons. Nice bonus is they have selections of cigar packs and individual cigars for sale. Really knowledgeable and friendly staff. read more

Called up on the way to Athens & got great assistance on the phone. Sales staff very helpful and the store is laid out in easy to navigate aisles. Associate even remembered speaking with me. Will definitely stop by again upon returning to Athens. read more

Good selection on whiskey, however, it appears they boost prices +/- 150% on bottles that receive a high rating or becomes popular. I dont mind some increases to stem demand/supply, but for a retailer to charge 2nd market prices, then it is just gauging. read more

This place is convenient (although the parking can get a little sticky), the staff is friendly and the selection is great. Looking forward to their upcoming expansion. Currently the growler station is in the convenience store next door but with that moving across the parking lot it will all be in J's which will be great! Hopefully parking wont be an issue. read more

This place is very close to me and they carry everything from cheap beer to fancy brews. Complete liquor selection and plenty of wines. My main dude there knows his vino. He can pair for you and always tells you about the best deals. read more
