The service was very friendly. I ended up in a discussion about napkins, cars, and powdered donuts, and was told, "That's a car killer!" Loved it! The donuts are made from scratch, in-store daily (flour, water).  I had one of their cake donuts and a yeast donut. The cake donut left an odd film in my mouth, unlike any other Shipley's location. Perhaps it's a tweek to the recipe. The yeast donut was very soft and rather light. There was more than adequate icing.  The child in me came out when I saw pink icing, so I jumped at it over a more tried and true chocolate. I think I'll squash that child next time. The pink one was just too sweet. Double dog drat!  (That's not to say I still didn't eat half of it!) It was just more dessert than donut--a child would go bonkers over it! The store has a great customer base; there was a line of cars stretching into the parking lot. This explains why the cake iced donuts sell out before 9 am. There is a large parking lot because this is in a strip center. It is near other fast-food restaurants that serve breakfast, but it holds its own strongly! read more

I enjoy dropping by Shipley Donuts every once in a while to pick up a small bag of tasty delights for my wife and me. It's the small things that brings a big smile to her face. The staff are always cheerful and reciprocate the same energy as I come into the store. Their shelves are colorfully decorated with various shapes and sized donuts. One cannot resist the aroma of fresh baked goods. It feels as if I'm in competition with some soul out there that cherishes the Apple Fritters. Most times I come in and the basket of Fritters have disappeared. It is almost comical that someone knows that I am dropping by so they purchase the entire load. This is my spiel with those at the counter. We always have a good laugh about it. Thankfully this is only one of my wife's favorites so I can always rely on her standby which I'm not going to share. As for the group who buys the Apple Fritters, let have a sit down together and share a batch sometime. I want to know my competition. Shipley Donuts is a Texas-based chain serving up a great variety of donuts. This review is for the Manor, TX store. The folks here are always attentive and friendly in serving you and I seldom have to wait in line. Donut quality is generally decent, although I was a bit disappointed with the apple fritters that are mostly dough and lacked fruit in the middle. Blueberry filled are much better with a good amount of filling. The chocolate cake donut is somewhat dry and not very flavorful. The cinnamon rolls ... just thinking about them is making me drool! So good! I stopped in here by accident one morning because we needed to use the restroom and intended to just grab a few donut holes for the kid, but walked out with some warm glazed and a cinnamon roll. I came here last month and got the best service ever at a donut shop! I was greeted as soon as I entered. I proceeded to let the lady know that this was my first time at this location. I just wanted to pick up some donuts for my kids. The lady was very patient and helped me to decide when I wasn't sure which flavor to choose between. The donuts were fresh and save very tasty. I got sold a big soft bear claw of just dough!! Every once in a while I get some kind of a breakfast for the office to show my appreciation for all that everyone does... in my business Spring is tough on people! This time I decided to try this location as I drive by it every day. It is a newer spot, with a nice building, lots of parking, a drive through and a really clean inside. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked how I could be helped. I ordered 2 dozen sugar bombs...12 asst filled and 12 asst frosted. Then my eyes took in the beautiful bear claws... I had to have one! Unfortunately I was taken in by the bear claws outward beauty and as happens in life sometimes I quickly found out it had no substance... there was ZERO apple filling! Like getting a date with the most beautiful girl just to find out there is nothing but air in her head... I was extremely disappointed. I took the rest of the delectables to the office and most of them were very good! However in the dozen filled box there were a couple, again, that had no or very little filling. Hey Shipley ever hear of Quality Control? The location was great, the staff and service was good, the product for the most part was ok... I can always see her smiling under her mask. She is personable, makes you feel at home. I know she would be a great asset for my work team. I told her yesterday this but said, "I'm selfish, I wouldn't get to see you here." She obviously likes her job. I think she is supervisor/manager material. She is on the front lines of this pandemic and not even being given a n95. I gave her one. Y'all she makes me laugh, I always leave feeling in a better mood. Manor has a lot of places with bad customer service, this isn't one of them. The donuts are good, reasonably priced like all Shipleys and staff is nice. Saving grace for breakfast since Manor is primarily just tacos, whataburger and McDonald's for breakfast. Glad to have something else read more

They never have ham and cheese Kolache they always tell me they are sold out, and it's morning time when I go. Also, for the price it's not worth it anymore I would rather drive to Pflugerville Shipleys they have everything plus warm glazed donuts. I gave it 5 tries to many not going back. read more

Nice to see some variety land in Manor..fast and friendly..every thing looks and tastes fresh..no need for to explain much else..menus at Shipleys are universal..the 5am opening time is great for early birds, and being just off of 290 ,with drive thru, they should draw a decent crowd..we definitely welcome the new choices coming to our small town.. read more

Pretty disappointed with this location. We arrived to get my niece some donuts. The door clearly says they close at 7PM but it's 630 and the guy refused to let us in. Not one to complain but having my 9 year old niece staring at an employee who has entirely cleaned the store half an hour early is a little ridiculous. I had a sweet tooth this morning tried out Shipley's. I like the fact that they have a drive up window. The employee at the window wasn't very friendly initially. I ordered a glazed donut and coffee. The order came up quickly. The employee was a little more friendly when handing me my donut and coffee. Maybe because I continued to be nice to her even after her quick and unfriendly demeanor in the beginning. The coffee was ok, not your Starbucks. The donut was great though fluffy, not to sweet. Oh my. My son recently surprised us on Sunday morning with a box of delicious goodies from the new to Manor Shipleys. He brought in a dozen donuts & several kolaches. Ok, so I have only had kolaches twice...but these are my favorite! Lol The donuts were soft, fresh & unique. I'd never had a raised chocolate donut before. It had what I believe to be homemade marshmallow center. Oooooh. Wasn't expecting that, and it was GREAT. The kolache had a superb dough and quality sausage. Been here several time always served cold donuts as if they just pulled them out of the fridge as well as there kolache's. The guy that works there with red Hair refuses to put them in the microwave and has a bad attitude. Never returning. read more

So glad Manor has this donut shop. The donuts and kolaches are always really fresh and the staff are incredibly friendly. We have visited many times for family treats and I have also had big orders for my daughter's school. When I have the bigger orders they are really accommodating with whatever I want/need. I ordered a couple dozen pink ones for Valentine's day and the donuts were still warm. My car smelled great, and of course, the kids loved the donuts! read more

I grew up on Shipleys in the city it originated from. Needless to say I am a fan. It's great to see one in this area. There seems to be a few quality issues to address at this location still - the sprinkled donuts are a little bare looking, and the cake donuts crumble when bitten, for example.
