    NA Ube Pina Colada
    Kathleen K.

We really wanted to try Shiki after seeing it on Kare-11. The NA Ube Pina Colada was ok. Too much ice and too much coconut. The Pork Potstickers were very good. We liked the Chicken Shio Ramen and The Shoyu Ramen but they were both very bland. No chili sauce to add, just Siracha. It doesn't compliment the Ramen broth very well. A little more spice and it would have been much better. Service was good.

Shiki is a great addition to downtown Excelsior. They are located at the old Jake O'Connor's Public House where they have transformed that space into 3 different restaurants, Shiki, Parlour Excelsior, and a Supper Club that will open soon. We went for lunch and it was very good. I had the Kimchi Raman and it was delicious. The broth was wonderful. I can't wait to return and try the dumplings and cocktails. A cute little spot and something that Excelsior needed. Very friendly and quick service. I will absolutely be back

    "Spicy" kimchi ramen, not spicy

I am giving Shiki 3.5 stars, so I am rounding up to 4. There are some good things here and some misses. The cocktails are very good, we tried the Sakura and the Bamboo cocktails. Excellent and well made. They have a good selection of beer and sake too. The cucumber salad and the pork potstickers were good. We ordered the shoyu ramen and the spicy kimchi ramen. Both came with large pieces of pork belly which was excellent. The shoyu ramen, I would definitely order this again. The spicy kimchi ramen was not remotely spicy. I think it was just the shoyu ramen with a glob of kimchi. Major disappointment. The restaurant is small but wasn't too noisy. Service is good, with the exception of clearing used dishes. Our table was completely cluttered by the end of the meal. I might come back here for a cocktail and apps.

Food was ok, nothing special. Worst part is they change you 3% on your bill for using a credit card. Unacceptable.

Mirabelle was chosen for friends night out due to the social media post and it looking great on socials. I'd first like to say the staff here were amazing. We were helped by quite a few of them during our dining experience. We were even given a guided tour of the rentable event space, as well as the 2 other restaurant concepts they run, which are connected to Mirabelle. Shiki - Japanese inspired noodle bar, and Parlour Bar - Speakeasy vibes. Mirabelle has more of a supper club atmosphere. Back to the dining experience, we all ordered the drink special - I don't recall the name but we all enjoyed it. Kind of like a cosmo. We were able to catch a few things from the happy hour. As I said earlier I was looking forward to ordering the wings, which I did, but was later informed they ran out - we did go at dinner opening on a Monday - maybe they had a super busy week. I was left to only trying cheese curds and fries which were okay, nothing special. Others tried the caesar salad, a shrimp pasta dish, popcorn, and a few other dishes. Overall they weren't very impressed either. Probably would have enjoyed the other concepts a bit more personally. Also had popovers - they were very egg forward - smell and taste - also something no one really enjoyed at our table. The drinks and vibes were amazing though!

Lost Bay - Stacked Club Sandwich

There is a new spot on Lake Minnetonka and it is definitely worth a visit!!…read more Lost Bay is tucked into Tonka Bay and features a beautiful outdoor bar and patio seating area over looking the lake with plenty of spots to pull your boat up to. We came on a busy Sunday evening, Memorial Day Weekend, and put our name down for a table. We were told it would be a responsible 25-30 minute wait. A wait that only ended up being about 15 minutes. We were seated at a table right next to the water which we loved. Very promptly greeted by our server, Julie, who was awesome. She was extremely knowledgeable to the menu, made plenty of recommendations, and was very humorous making the visit even better. Started with the Loaded Nachos which were HUGE. They were piled high with all the goodies, plenty of queso, crispy chips, and extremely fresh ingredients. At first I was turned off by the $22 price tag but the size is actually a great value and they are perfect for probably 6-8 to share as an app or 2-4 to share as an entree. You can pop tan extra $10 for brisket, we just stuck with the ground beef. I also got the Stacked Club Sandwich which, again, was a massive portion. The deli meat tasted like it was freshly sliced and had a nice flavor. The lettuce and tomato were also very fresh tasting. This a perfect spot to stop and take in some sun, have a few drinks, and a bite to eat, all while enjoying stunning views of the lake.

Notable food: Bone in fried chicken is crispy, with a light batter and tastes like it been cooked in some well rendered fat. 10/10 Drinks: the vast bourbon selection makes for fantastic cocktail creations or enjoying neat. I loved that they have New Riff-Rye. I also love a play on the classics the Tequila Old Fashioned (Reposado tequila, coconut aquavit, agave, tiki bitters.) Atmosphere/design: Offers plenty of space with a peek into the kitchen. No matter where you sit, you're bound to catch a TV playing a number of sports channels. Overall!

The inside is gorgeous: dark grey wood everywhere, very modern, and smells amazing from the moment you walk in. I love that it's in the space that used to be Cuzzy's Bar and Grill; the renovation really makes it feel like a whole new place. I ordered the cornbread skillet and a chicken sandwich (I asked for bacon but didn't get it). The cornbread skillet was excellent -- my partner had cheese curds that were melt-in-your-mouth, i love when places paor curds with the blueberry dip. The chicken sandwich was awesome: quality chicken with a super crunchy breading, and the tomatoes had a little pepper seasoning which made it stand out from your usual sandwich. I also tried their Mac and Cheese. Thats pretty good its dauced just right and i think its pimento cheese. Partner also tried chicken and waffles, which he enjoyed but said it wasn't his favorite -- not really a chicken-and-waffles guy. The sweet potato fries were tasty, though a bit soft rather than crispy. Service was fantastic. Our server was very sweet, attentive, and helpful with suggestions and questions. The bathrooms were clean, and the bar area looked well done. The space is much bigger than the old restaurant, with more booths and seating than I expected. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I would definitely come back to try more off the menu -- everything looks tempting. A wonderful spot in Chaska that's worth visiting. Go visit!
