Sikdorak isn't the best Korean restaurant out there, but when I don't have time to drive all the way to LA, it's one of the few spots in the Valley I go to when craving Korean food. The meat prices are reasonable for what you get. Today, we had a simple lunch set -- my companion ordered the Galbi + Doenjang-jjigae combo, and I had the Hot Stone Bibimbap. The galbi was tasty, the soybean stew a bit salty, and the bibimbap portion was generous enough to share. The lady working there was rather blunt and unpolished. Overall, I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 -- not quite at the level of LA's top Korean restaurants, but still one of the better Korean options in the Valley when you want something comforting and nearby.

Legit Korean bbq restaurant with other traditional dishes as well. Not All you can eat, but that also means better quality, in my opinion. No frills type joint, and you'll get your kbbq fix here. I actually enjoy the take out quite a bit. As you can see from the pics, all packaged and put together fairly well!

The menu on their website is very blurry and unreadable. Menu 5/12/2024

NOTE: ALL the Prices went up since the last time we ate here 2 or 3 months ago. Food: I always wonder how much lbs they usually dor for each Duk Bosam Combination, we usually order combo B2 and I feel like it had less meat this time compared from the last time. The Quality of the short ribs is not the same as last time too, it used to be our fave. Service: so far, it was the Same as last time, the servers were attentive. Ambience: It was a busy friday night, lots of smoke inside due to the grills and maybe they need to upgrade their exhaust? Overall: I feel like with the price and quality, try reconsidering other KBBQ place.

Came here a while back and loved the Hot stone Spicy Seafood Bibimbap, but to my disappointment, they removed it from the menu. The food was okay this time around, but not my fave like last time. Not sure what happened, but it seems it has gone downhill a bit. The restaurant is clean, a bit warm though. Service was okay, but felt rushed a bit and it took a bit to check in on us. I think there are better options for the price.

We love coming here, and it never disappoints! There's plenty of parking, and we were seated right away--no wait at all. Service is incredibly fast, with friendly and efficient servers who made sure we had everything we needed. We had the dinner package that originally included brisket, pork belly, and boneless short rib, but we opted for double brisket instead. The meat was fresh and delicious, and the brisket was especially good. The side dishes were great too--we couldn't get enough of the bean sprouts and fish cake, and the servers were quick to bring multiple refills. They do have an automatic 18% gratuity for parties of four or more, but we had no issue with that--it's well deserved for the excellent service. Overall, this place is consistently great, and we'll definitely keep coming back!

Great locally spot for kbbq in the valley. If you know you know. If you're looking for an unassuming, casual restaurant to enjoy kbbq with a small group of friends or family, this should be on repeat for you. The ladies who work here are all very friendly and work very hard to provide good service despite being always busy when understaffed at certain times of day. The meats are bussin and their non bbq items like their spicy cold noodles and soups are definitely mist tries.

I'm surprised this was my first time coming here after living in the valley all my life! Came here upon recommendation of one of my coworkers - he said the cold noodles here are commendable. The galbi was dreamy - savory, tender, and juicy morsels of meat. Squid was also very tasty, but also a lot of veggies. Decent service, though a little pricey but definitely hits the spot if we crave cold noodles or galbi

    Do they have Bossam here?

If you are thinking of the traditional Bossam (steamed pork belly), they don't serve that here. They DO serve pork belly that you can grill at the table.

Do they have indoor seating as of Oct 2021?

Yes , it's indoor . The food is great.

What is the name of the soup that they serve with the side dishes?

I think it's the moo gook (Korean radish soup). I don't think they serve that anymore.

We were seated right away. I really liked the modern decor and casual ambiance of the restaurant. Service was prompt and our server was very friendly and personable. Drinks came out quickly. Appetizer was almost instant. We tried the cornbread with honey butter and jalapeño jam. Delicious! Though the cornbread was a tad dry. We shared a picnic platter with Memphis ribs, bbq chicken, and brisket. Everything else was flavorful and delicious. The brisket was good but a little disappointingly dry. The mac and cheese side was delicious. The jalapeno grits were bland. I would have added some cheese and a sprinkle of chive on top for a more appealing appearance. They just looked like slop. My favorite item was the bbq chicken. I'll definitely just get that next time. We ordered the butter sheet cake for dessert and it was amazing! So moist and buttery, and topped with the caramel or toffee ice cream. A must try! Overall, I enjoyed Gus's and would definitely return.

Basically every employee we interacted with was attentive, friendly, and greeted my mom and I with a smile. Our waiter, Fredi, walked us through the menu since it was our first time visiting and truly provided the best experience for us. The restaurant has a great vibe and was very clean, spacious, and modern. The theming is spot on, and I loved the space as a whole. The food was absolutely fantastic, the deviled eggs were a highlight. The blackened Cajun catfish sandwich was unique and flavorful, and the french fries were out of this world. Honestly, all of the sides were incredible! This is officially my new favorite Caesar salad in the Valley: so fresh with really unique flavors. Fredi also kindly offered to split the salad into two plates for us since we were sharing, which was much appreciated. Before being seated, we had an interaction that left us feeling a little uncomfortable. While waiting by the host stand, manager Ashley was repeatedly calling out "table for Maria" while looking directly at my mom and I and motioning toward us. After she said it a few times we indicated that we were not that party, and she appeared surprised. It may have been unintentional, but since we are Latinas, the assumption felt a bit off putting and left a strange impression at the start of our visit. Besides that, the night ended on the sweetest note because Fredi brought out a sundae for my mom to celebrate Mothers Day. He is such an amazing waiter & we hope to come back soon!

We hadn't visited since February, 2020. Before the pandemic might as well have been 10 years ago, if the world shut down 6 years ago. We were overdue for a followup visit. Judging by how the food went down, we were sore for it. We ordered the Big Tex: four meats and four sides - tri-tip, brisket, pulled pork and links; kale greens, bbq beans, mac and cheese and fries. We opted for the cornbread in the roll slot. It should be the top meats in your order, by premium scale and availability, but more often than they should be, the brisket/tri-tip selections are, 90%, obligatory orders. I think I have a love/hate relationship with the way LA treats the pepperoni pizza of bbq meats. Swinging Door broke us off proper though. Not too fatty. Great tenderism. And the accompanying sauce complemented the smoked all stars, rather than compensated for lack of flavor. Didn't stop me from loving their Whiskey bbq sauce though. The beans were a true bbq side, swimming in a mild sauce and containing lovely chunks of link. And the kale greens - sheesh - I think they might've switched to kale since our first visit. An effective exercise in alternative ruffage that holds seasoning and jucies for a similar bbq/soulfoud bite. We live further away now. Took the food to go, to prevent the intermittent rain from foiling more of our plans. It traveled well. And since I'm using our leftover bbq sauce on every other meal I cook, I'd say we successfully made do with our lunch substitute.
