Stopped here tonight with the family. It was my first time here and I must say this place was amazing. My compadre was the one who showed me this place and we decided to finally try it tonight. The food: 1000/1000 we went with the gold option and it was amazing. So many wonderful cuts of Waygu beef and the recommendations from our server were great: we also had the sides and I must say the Waygu burger was so good, I can see why it would run out really fast. The deserts were so good and lots of amazing options. I enjoyed the unlimited beverages as well. Service: top notch service, our server was Tyler and he went above and beyond for our party. He made sure our experience was an excellent one. He was kind, courteous and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Chubby Cattle is a place of variety, indulgence and quality, a good treat. You can eat self prepared BBQ meats and refreshing sushi options at the same time. Obviously the quality is great, they have many premium options including waygu beef all you can eat. The service was good from our host, positive attitude and welcoming, until he started to mention their membership and if we wanted to join five times after saying no. Earlier we called to get information before arriving and they can't even have a staff member answer the call, an AI bot was struggling to assist and answer our questions. Everything is ordered on a tablet. The amount of self service at this restaurant is nauseating, considering the price to dine in. You can order every 7 minutes until time is up. Ambiance is active and the upbeat music playlist is about at a medium volume. The experience is streamlined to get you in and out, I was not a fan of the constant badgering to join their membership, especially at checkout. There is an egregious amount of self service that could be handled by staff, for the price range, having everyone run around each other to grab drinks and grab items from the cold bar and other self service areas is strange. I got the gold tier, it was a nice option to try the "tasting experience" as it was our first time, but honestly could have done without it. This place is more on the pricier side, but for the silver tier, it's a solid opt. There were a few items on the menu that we tried that we did not like at all, it had to be taken away lol but there were a lot of items we did enjoy! Our server nick was knowledgeable and friendly. This is a type of restaurant where you order through the tablet and the food comes to your table, the server does come around often to check in on you and to change the grills. Jasper was also really good at taking away any of our empty/ dirty dishes every time he dropped off food. When I first arrived, I was trying to get the host attention so that I could get checked in but she is not welcoming and bit rude. She is constantly looking down at her tablet then walking away. Then just calls whoever is next on the tablet, not acknowledging anyone new coming in! Me and another guest were so confused we had to flag her down to get checked in which is so odd. I've never been to a restaurant where a host made us feel like we are an inconvenience to her!! Anyway,after we did check in, we had to wait another 20 mins or so for our table to be ready. As a huge fan of Chubby Cattle, I am incredibly disappointed to say that this specific location has been a miss ever since it opened. I've given it three chances now, and each visit has been a poor experience. After my most recent visit, I felt compelled to finally write a review. We ordered the highest tier (Diamond), expecting a premium experience, but our server, Kai, was completely rude and unprofessional. Throughout the night, he barely checked on us or cleared our plates. Instead, he repeatedly approached our table just to scold us about having only 30 minutes left. When last call approached, we placed a larger order to wrap up our meal. Kai came over and lectured us about the size of the order, warning us that we would have to pay for leftovers even though we ended up finishing absolutely everything. When we tried to put in one final item before the system even shut down, he arbitrarily told us he was canceling it because we "couldn't order anymore." It is incredibly frustrating to be paying customers spending over $600, only to be spoken to so disrespectfully about ordering food during valid service hours. To top it off, after dropping off the check and taking our payment, we went to get dessert. Kai approached us yet again and told us we needed to leave, essentially kicking us out of the restaurant. We've been here a total of two times and each time has been amazing! We had Nick and Kai serving us and they've been amazing. Always checking in on us, making sure we get the best service, and just vibed with them. They're so easy to chat up. It's more expensive than your AYCE experience but it's really worth it especially for special occasions. It's a sit down upscale JBBQ spot and while I love their meats, I think about their lobster roll, Wagyu slider, and carpaccio the most alongside their unlimited milk tea and egg tarts. Delicious food and stellar service! Absolutely worth the wait and the price. This was my first time dining at Chubby Cattle, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. There's a variety of meat to choose from, from rich and savory wagyu to thinner briskets. All meat is very high quality cuts, taste amazing even without sauce. The sushi was just OK to me. Some of the rice was undercooked and so randomly crunchy in some parts, and the taste of the fish was just acceptable. The hand rolls were pretty good, though. Love the assortment of sides and appetizers to choose from, and the self service drinks, salads, desserts, and sides. There's even dim sum! And the slushies are so good. I actually didn't like the milk tea much, too creamy and sweet for me, but YMMV. There's just so much to eat and drink here, and the portions are just right. Loved the ambiance and the service. The only drawback was the wait time (quite long on a weekend for lunch) and the fact that it got super smoky in the area we sat. Even the restrooms were noticeably smoky. However, our table and others in the area were moved to a section with significantly better ventilation. It seems like ventilation could be a recurring issue here, but they also seem to be aware of it and can shift your table somewhere better if it gets too smoky. The atmosphere is modern, lively, and upscale compared to your typical KBBQ. You're given a set dining time, and there's also a 7-minute window in which you can place each order, which can feel a little stressful at first since you're trying to decide, order, cook, and eat all at once. I took a few pictures but we probably had 30 more plates and with the time constraints, it was hard! We went with the Silver Tier, and it was amazing. The quality of the meat was excellent, especially the Japanese wagyu, which was rich, tender, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered tasted high quality and well worth it. There's also a walk-up area where you can grab extras like fresh vegetables, curry, soup, corn/sweet potato with cheese, desserts, and even a wagyu hamburger, which we heard was delicious. The bad - the dining experience, while fun, was not relaxing at all. There is a timer that counts down like a game show, ticking time bomb. When the timer finishes, you order your limited number of dishes and the timer stars again. By this time, some of the things I really wanted to try (beef tongue, wagyu enoki, fruity wagyu, fried tofu, chicken karaage etc) were sold out. The rest of the wagyu cuts were good, but the thin cuts were harder to cook as they easily stick to the grill. I can see the appeal of this location relative to others: the beverage bar, "dim sum", salad bar, curry/miso dispenser, grab and go wagyu burgers/egg tarts, and dessert station are unique, though the stations can get messy, and takes a bit of time to be refilled. mini milk tea dispenser for people that are waiting is cool and generous. Unfortunately, the novelty makes for lack of quality. We tried almost everything on the Silver Tier ($58), all of which were underwhelming except for - Durian sweet potato: can actually taste the durian! The har gow-like one was probably the better tasting one to try. - tom yum soup: it's like tart water, though the mussels and shrimp weren't bad - miso soup: no tofu/seaweed - chicken cartilage: too hard to chew - curry: lukewarm, flavor lacking. Tender meat tho Service: The hostess who took us in pointed us out to the different stations, which was nice, but I think she got distracted because once we sat at the table, she started talking to a coworker and quickly left... we didn't know what to wait for lol. Definitely worth it if you're going for the meat quality. The sliders were really good and juicy, and the rice station is super cool you just put your bowl down, press a button, and it automatically fills your bowl with rice. I wasn't really into the sushi though. I've had way better elsewhere, so I wouldn't come here for that. But for wagyu and the overall experience, it's a good time. I've been to Chubby Cattle before during grand opening weekend and had a great experience, which is why we were so excited to bring my mom for her first visit this past Saturday (2/28). We hyped it up to her, so she came in really excited to try it. We expected the one-hour wait and put ourselves on the list -- no issues there. But once we were seated, we immediately noticed how hot it was inside. It felt like there was very little ventilation, which made it uncomfortable throughout the meal. Unfortunately, quite a few items weren't stocked during our 90-minute visit. When I first went to the bar, there was no kimchi. The miso soup had no tofu. I let our server Anthony know, and to his credit, he was very kind and proactive -- he went to the back to notify the kitchen and came back to let me know it had been refilled. He even offered to grab it for me, which I appreciated. However, when I went back up, there was still no tofu, so I had to flag someone else down to ask again. Several items labeled on the table were also unavailable the entire time: no shumai, no soup dumplings, no octopus dumplings, and no lobster dumplings. The steam baskets weren't even out and never appeared during our visit. The chocolate layered crepe was only refilled once, and there were no egg tart refills for most of our time there. There was also no more refills on the milk tea - they had put a sign over it. On our last call, we ordered one more round of scallops, but they never came -- and we had already paid the bill. Eventually, another server brought them over, but by then our grill had been turned off. When we let her know, she asked, "Do you want it or not?" We ended up taking them, and she turned the grill back on. I had also been waiting for fresh egg tarts and let Anthony know I was specifically holding out for those. When they finally came out, I grabbed a few while we were finishing the scallops. Shortly after sitting down, Anthony came by and let us know we only had two minutes left -- not realizing another server had just dropped off our last order of scallops. I mentioned there was no way I could eat piping hot egg tarts in two minutes, and he kindly told me I could take them since we were already over our time limit. I want to emphasize that Anthony was polite and did his best, and I still left a pretty good tip because I know some of these issues are likely operational and not entirely on the servers. That said, for the price point, it was disappointing to see so many items unavailable and not being restocked consistently. I really loved our first visit, which is why this experience was such a letdown. I hope this was just an off day, because I do think this place is great -- but consistency and fully stocked options are important, especially when you're paying a premium price. read more

Parking is ample so should not be an issue. Reservations should be made because since it's fairly new, wait times can be as high as 2 hours. Once seated they give you 90 min. Food was a 5/5! They have 3 packages you can choose from and the main difference is the type of beef. Silver, gold and diamond tier, one is American Wagyu and the other Japanese. They also offer a variety of sides, drinks and desserts. Staff was amazing and most everything came out quickly. Inside was very clean and spacious and unlike other bbq places, there was no strong odor. Must try dishes are the wagyu burger and the dim sum, aside from the bbq. Did I forget to post a review? My partner and I were back for the fourth(?) time tonight, and it was reliably good! The photos are from a previous visit, so items might be different now... I was too hungry to think about updating pictures during today's visit. We go for the gold menu when we bring someone for the first time (to really enjoy a bit of the nicer cuts), but when we're just there to enjoy some grilled meat by ourselves, we're happy with the silver. Today, we got the gold and had the A5 short rib and the A5 top blade for the special meats. The short rib was probably what we enjoyed more today, but the top blade was solid, too. The top blade was seasoned with a soy(?)-based sauce, and it looks like it has a bit of grated daikon on top. It's cut thin, and our server, Lewis, was kind enough to cook it for us - it gets cooked on one side, then gets rolled up and cut into four pieces. It finishes cooking with residual heat. The short rib just has the nicely marbled meat shine on its own (smaller, thicker cut pieces - not super thick though). Both were good, but just depends on what you prefer. Our party also got the scallop and unagi. I don't eat much seafood, but my partner enjoyed both. He got the scallop twice! It had some minced garlic and a little pat of butter on each scallop. He ended up asking for some unagi sauce (thanks, Lewis!), and that made the grilled unagi perfect for him. We always get a number of different ayce items, but we can hardly keep track of which is which. We usually make sure to get the A5 brisket and short rib, but otherwise, it just depends on what we (and our party) feel like trying. It's always nice to be able to grab rice, miso soup, kimchi (particularly solid today), seaweed salad, corn cheese, vegetables, fruit, swiss rolls, milk tea, etc. from the self-serve area. We noticed the salad is now here, too, rather than being an item to order. Despite how busy it seemed, our server Lewis did a great job of giving an intro for our first-time guest (my mom!), checking on us, helping us grill the special meats (so we didn't overcook those ones!), and applying our membership and NFT discounts correctly. (Actually, I think he was our server during our first visit, too, and he was just as energetic and eager to help today as he was then!) The solid food, service, and experience have made this one of our newer go-to spots for a nice dinner that's in the valley! read more
