So I notice this and called their customer service and informed her of my concern. This place had the shoes I wanted online, but I didn't wanna pay shipping. I figured I'd go down to the brick and mortar and pay for my shoes in person as opposed to buying everything online. The girl behind the counter refused to come out from behind the counter until I told her exactly what I wanted and when I told her the shoe I wanted and I said the green one on the bottom left she picked up the green one on the bottom right when I told her that was the wrong shoe she got pissed off and told me dude you got to bend over and pointed to the shoe you want. At this point I said I'll go spend my money somewhere else. Do I have to bend down and point out the shoe I want or do you need to pay attention and listen and drop the attitude? Don't go here. Horrible service. I was trying to look at the shoes and one of the workers( a girl with tattoos) was standing by the shoes I wanted to look at. After asking her to move NICELY,so I can look behind her, she gave me so much attitude. As if I had pushed her out of the way or something. The bottom of my shoe fell off and when I went back the employees told me to glue it back together because they can't take back a shoe that wore for 5 days. If your looking for the best customer service with tons of employees standing around doing nothing this is your location. No one person greeted me as I walked into this location from the mall entrance which is a pretty long walk way. Most of them stood there in their conversation among themselves. After about 10 min I asked a guy behind the register could he help me which he did he was very nice but seems like he was new because of the amount of time it took him to find the shoe I needed but that was ok bc at least he helped. as I was waiting I decided to sit down bc it was take a while I also had to large Macy bags with me I sat on the floor next to me another lady I past in the store several times decided to walk towards me and look down in my bag as if I stole something then when see's me look along at her she decided to speak. Afterwards she then stood behind me pretending to fold clothes. The sad part about all this we were all minorities!! This is by far the worse experience I have had shopping at a Sheikh shoe store. If you want to be profiled and get no service this is the place to go. Not even the owner had the common sense to help and he was standing there. I have to admit that this would not normally be in my top five for places that initially come to mind for comfortable and fashionable shoes, but I was really impressed today. My beloved flat black boots had finally croaked after roughly five years of use and abuse, especially in the last couple of years (I walked up and down the island of Manhattan in them, and took those same boots backpacking in Italy two months later). They finally fell apart back in October during yet another trip to New York, and since then, no boot has been able to live up to my specifications: 1) Flat. 2) Mid-calf. 3) Not suede. 4) Can accommodate my monster calves without too much effort (this was the toughest one). 5) Black or gray. I was seriously on the verge of resigning to a future in black Uggs. I'd pretty much gone through them all: Target, Wal-Mart, Bakers, Naturalizer, Steve Madden, Cole Haan, Aerosoles, even Loeffler Randall. Nothing. Nada. Not a one lived up to what I thought were pretty simple criteria. On a tip from one of my girlfriends, who was rocking a pair of purple boots that fit all of the above criteria, I decided to suck it up, go to the local mall and check out Shiekh. I hadn't been here in years, and was surprised at how much bigger and more organized it was. Side note: If you are a girl, ask a girl to help you find your shoes as they seem to know better where everything is at. Tammy helped me find my perfect pair of boots and I took advantage of the buy one, get the 2nd one half off deal. So basically I bought two pairs of boots for about 1/4 the cost of the previous pair I had. At least if these fall apart, they're cheap enough to keep buying, and they are hands down the most comfortable boots I've stepped into in a long time, more so than some of the more expensive ones I've owned! read more

They really do have a large selection, although most look like stripper shoes. Things to keep in mind: -If you are looking for comfortable functional shoes, do not come to shiekh, so don't act surprised by the selection. Like I said, mostly glittery heels. More of a place to get party shoes than work shoes. -I used to work in retail so I an not a passive aggressive idiot that looks at stuff and gets pissed when someone doesn't come to me. Excuse me I am an adult with two working legs, if you need something don't be a passive aggressive baby, just go ask the employee for help!!! Honestly my experience today was disappointing. I walked in, in hopes of finding holiday gifts, specifically a pair of shoes for my father, but this was not case! When I asked for shoe sizes, I was told that was the only size with a rude tone, and they didn't check if this was true. BUT I did not clearly hear what the girl said, so I asked for clarification, and had a bad response and a rude tone. As I turned to ask follow up questions, she was gone. I ended up leaving the store unhappy, unhelped, and empty handed. I really want to find some shoes for my dad, but the customer service was unprofessional and terrible. read more

I went into Shiekh today looking to buy some Shoes, as i walked in the store i was greeted by one of the workers by the name of Melissa, she approached me and asked if i needed any help, which i did. I handed her a shoe and asked for two sizes which she then brought out for me. I ended up not liking them and i know that can sometimes be a bother to some sale assosiates, but on the contrary she was very polite and showed me a couple of other options, one which i ended up liking. She also offered a hat that matched the shoes, and the hat was on sale which i found being convinient. Honestly the best experience I've ever had at Shiekh. My boyfriend bought me a pair of sweet Adidas that I loved but once I wore them for an hour or so realized they were too big. I think the gals name that helped me was Jackie. I told her the story and how I just wanted a half size smaller and she knew exactly who bought them and totally helped me find the size I needed at bayfair. She called the manager over there and had them put them on hold for me and I picked them up that day. Also, that store was incredibly neat and tidy and she was on the other employees about making sure everything was in order. Amazing customer service and professionalism. The selection of shoes goes from shrubbed out tennis shoes like Chuck Taylor to Nike Airs to hoochy boots. The service here is to be desired. Many times the employees run around like chickens with their heads cut off. One visit required me to chase down an employee to try on a shoe. I'm used to shoe stores that have ample help available to assists me with my shoes desires. If your looking for something really quick and convenient I guess this might be the spot, but for me I;ll be ordering from Zappos. I saw some shoes online, and called. An efficient woman picked up the phone and quickly helped to find out that they had my size in both colors (Godiva wedge boots) she had em so I came in. The woman's name is Amy btw.. Amy was helping me and everybody in the store. She had my boots ready for me to try on.. She had several phone sales, coming in for purchase, registers going down, and employees running out for breaks. But she didn't lose her cool. The line took a while but that gave me time to buy another pair of shoes. The line was slow due to the registers but Amy made all of us feel comfortable while we waited. The Raffling method that this store takes at the launch time is ridiculous. No organization. Customers who won raffle on a release day dont matter to these guys. They should be asking customers if they won raffle or not, and those who won raffle purchase first. They let anybody purchase at anytime not asking if they won raffle or not. Its not fair to people who won raffle to have to wait in a line and getting their size possibly sold to non winners. Also they let people try on the shoes that is in question(new release). Its just not right and whats the point of entering a raffle if this is going to happen. This stores needs education on how to do raffle properly. read more

I haven't been here in awhile but they renovated this store. It's much larger and have cool displays on the floor with well-lit shoes. Pretty cool. I also noticed that many of the women shoes have more padding. I'd rather spend more money on shoes that I know won't kill me on the dancefloor after two hours. Her words were "i got 16 and 17 years old working here making mistakes and tagging things wrong" smh! Reason #1, as me a Jordan fan, I wake up around 5am and stand in line for the "first come, first serve" to get the new Jordans, and by the time the 8th person goes in the store they already "SOLD OUT". Now this is BS. One morning I was in line trying to buy the "Carmines" and this teenager was in line telling people how he is going to "For Sure" get his shoes because his brother that work at Shiekh put a pair up for him, REALLY? He also informed us that the other staff put up the new J's for their folks, write down how many pairs they have total and than come outside and annouce how many pairs and the sizes they have. This store is so corrupted to the point that the Jordan corporation need to find out about this. Ok so I went here today for a Marshawn Lynch meet and greet event with his beast mode products, I waited 3-4 hours in line to see beast mode, all of sudden he was 2 hours late to the event and once we got there all of sudden they only sign autographs for only women and kids that buy beast mode products. Tell me why when I looked at the flyer of the event, they didn't explain on who he would sign and not to sign like that was so sexist on what happened on the event this is bullshit and I'm never coming back to this store and or these events until it's specific clarified with a catch and no bullshit.
