IN-STOCK ONLINE VS IN STORE This past January I went to Foot Locker in Southland Mall for a specific pair of Adidas - adidas Originals Superstar II. The color I was looking for was a white pair with the Adidas sign outlined in black with the inside white. I thought that was a cool look - a pair potential dance shoes for hip hop performances. When I entered this location I couldn't find the pair I was looking for. I presumed this pair was out of stock at this store and maybe that Foot Locker didn't sell this pair anymore online. A couple of months later when I searched through the Foot Locker website it showed that this pair was not only available online, but also sold at Vallejo. I didn't want to drive all the way to Vallejo. Also for shoes I rarely order them online as I like to wear the shoes for fitting. On the Foot Locker website I typed my local zip code to search for stores that has this pair and my size of 8.5 in stock. The website showed that this exact pair and size was in stock at Southland Mall. In March I went back to Foot Locker at Southland Mall. When I entered the store I didn't see the exact adidas Originals Superstar II pair and color on display. The sales representative Isaiah asked me if I had any questions. I showed him the Foot Locker website, which stated this pair was available at the Southland Mall location. He then asked me what size I was looking for. I asked sizes 8 and 8.5. Isaiah went to the back and carried the two pair sizes. Even though I regularly wear size 8.5 the size 8 didn't feel tight at all. Then I asked Isaiah for his opinion. He said the size 8 appears tight on my sides. I choose size 8.5. In January this exact pair according to Foot Locker cost $100. When I went to Foot Locker in March there was a promotional sale, which was $20 off for this pair. Even though I appreciate the service from Isaiah I wish this Foot Locker location was more upfront by displaying a pair that is available on the website. read more

Perhaps I'm stating the obvious here. I find it very, very annoying when an employee who is doing nothing acts like I'm bugging them if I ask for assistance. Especially in a place where I need assistance to make a purchase in my size. Then, she tells me she thinks she has that style in my size, disappears in the back room, and then comes back empty handed not once but three times without a glance in my direction. When I miraculously found something to buy, I stood at the counter, the only customer, and was ignored by two employees behind the desk doing administrative stuff before someone looked at me in surprise and asked if anyone was helping me. I've only been here once, but I left feeling better than I arrived. I don't think stellar thoughts of this mall. But this was the only Foot Locker in the bay area at the moment that had the shoes we were looking for. So we drove 30 min to get here. Though the Southland Mall halls were crowded and had an intangible feel that set me wrong (OK, what's going down, or about to go down?), when I got into Foot Locker it changed. There were customers inside but they all seemed at ease and being cared for. When we got in line, it moved pretty quickly, one person even volunteering to have us come to her line so she could get us taken care of. Again, I would give this store 0 stars if I could! I have really bad experiences at shoe retailers at malls apparently... Purchased a can of shoe cleaner from Footlocker at Stoneridge Mall, and tried to return it here - 2 days later. Was refused the return by FERNANDO, the store manager. FERNANDO informed me of their "no-return" policy on shoe cleaner/protectant products because "that's just their policy." No where is this policy written - not on the back of the receipt, not on their can of shoe product, not posted online, nor is it posted anywhere inside the store. He won't return a $4.50 bottle of shoe cleaner that has not been used, and I have the receipt?!?!?!???! Well, as usual, I contacted the District Mgr, and he told FERNANDO to do the return! HA! Please don't buy anything here at this Footlocker, but do all your returns here. FERNANDO is a portly hispanic fellow with a goatee. 0 ZERO STARS..Today I witnessed a fight by an employee on a customer.. she was a very tall, thin African American girl with a attitude and tone of a made up new york acent she was trying to preciev to have suposedly .she had a very foul mouth and bad attitude and was very y rude and loud as can be ..she started screaming at the top of her lungs and tried to fight a customer and followed him outside the store into the mall simply because he addressed her nasty uncalled for attitude in a calm adult manner and demeiner..i was appauld by her, as I watched her chase the man outside of the store claimimg she would "f" him up screaming to the top of her lungs...she was about 5'11 ft tall and 100lbs..I couldn't believe her behavior and her ghetto unprofessional outburst..what she did was totally not justified at all..Another employee was eating on the floor with her earbuds in and didn't even interviene..the customer didn't call this young lady out her name until after she went bizerk and ran after them after they walked out..I can't believe she works there..she should be fired..period..I hope that gentlemen follows up with corporate.. I'm very sympathetic for that poor gentlemen who was almost violently attacked by this employee for calling her out on her bad attitude and horrible customer service.I will personally follow up with corporate myself on behalf of him. read more

Came in today to do last min school shopping for my kids. I was greeted with a hello when I walked in and I was immediately asked if I needed help. When I did need help the girl went back and forth to the store room numerous times for correct sizes or styles without hesitation. Another employee found a store that carried my size 13 in San Francisco and gave me online delivery options. I needed to go shoe shopping for my sons, and after going to 2 previous shoe stores (which I will also review after this), we were somewhat assisted by the only nice guy at Footlocker. I didn't catch his name but he has long hair tied in a pony tail. If it wasn't for him, we would have walked out of this shoe store. I asked a girl (did not get her name) if she would please look for 2 shoes for my son's..she acted like I was bothering her and went to the back..on her way to the back she stopped to assist another family and was with them for quite some time. I didn't want to be rude so we patiently waited. She brought out a pair of shoes for my 10 yr old and a pair of shoes for my 3 yr old. However, she only left us one shoe and she kept the other shoes in the box with her. She was clutching them for dear life. So, is the economy really bad that we are not to be trusted with OH MY GOD both shoes? She went to assist the other family with the left shoes in her hands, so I asked the guy with the ponytail if we could have the other shoe. He went to get the boxes from her and she just glared at us. I was furious, but my 3 yr old was getting antsy from being there for so long that we ended up just grabbing the shoes and paying for them and walking out of the whole entire mall, instead of complaining to someone. I've come here numerous times and their employees never help me with anything. They have a wide variety of choices but never any sizes though. One particular thing why I'm giving this place a bad review is that I've asked them if they still had the Jordan's releasing today and the guy told me to come back at 3pm because since I didn't win a raffle. I called exactly at 3 and the guy told me they have one pair left in that size and its first come first serve. I was only 5 mins away from the mall. And I asked them when I got there & I guess he was a manager bc I was told to ask him and he said no. And I was like at all? And he said to check back this evening. How will you give me misleading information like if I come back tonight I know they will not have it. Nothing against footlocker in general because Nike Sportswear shows them all the love of certain shoe distribution. But this particular Footlocker location is super horrible in the Customer Service area. Very poor customer service. The employees here(seems like all of them) either hates their job, dont know their job and or simply is blind. You will be standing there on a raffle release day for a really long time when an employee need to assist you on getting the ticket from you and getting the shoe. When most of them are standing around doing nothing. Its like all their Minds and thoughts stop on these days and during the week the customer service is average. Even over the phone is horrible. Only reason I come here is because I love shoes and footlocker gets most of all the best shoes. I dont come here for the service and I can be just as rude too. If i would i would give 0 stars! customer service is horrible here! I called yesterday to put some shoes on hold and Natalie told me they were put on hold for me in the size i wanted. I called on my way to buy the shoes and Jennifer (store manager) was so unbelievably rude! she got on the phone and started saying they never had that size in the shoe i wanted and it was never on hold. I then told her i spoke to natalie and she put them on hold for me, she stared getting loud on the phone saying that other stores have them and starting blurring out numbers without even asking if i was ready for phone numbers. She salesgirl was helpful and knowledgeable but the price was higher than I was willing to dish out and she said on the "hush hush" for me to go to a place she named where I'd find the same shoe at bargain price. This place gets one star because out of the four associates who were standing around only one of them helped my family and I. Came here last Friday around 7:30pm. We were not greeted upon arrival. After asking (women's footlocker) for help a young girl helped my daughter try on shoes. She was polite and helpful. We didn't like anything there so we moved over to kids footlocker. Two guys were standing around looked over but never said a word. When we finally asked for help the Asian associate with thinning long hair told my husband to wait while he greeted another customer that came in after us. Now mind you, my daughter is looking for a shoe that will accommodate her wide AFO brace so not getting any proper customer service was very frustrating. We ended up buying a pair of adidas that were great for her but I will never be returning here again. Like the mall but this store has been on my shit list since I started going to this mall. The floors - what's up with the floors??? They are filthy and nasty as hell. I have never been into such a filthy Footlocker in my life. The footlocker that use to be in Eastmont Mall wasn't even nasty like this - it wasn't nasty period. I just refuse to shop at the Southland Footlocker just because of this. And hey I shop at DD's Discount. Came in to get my kids some shoes and there were no one that could help me. Every employee was in the corner talking to each other and looking at me like I wasn't there. So I stated asking if anybody work here and no response. Finally after I while ask and standing here some one came and help. Fernando at the Southland Foot Locker was a very helpful and kind manager. I was trying to exchange a pair of shoes i got from the Stonebridge Mall but the manger there (Dan) said if i wore them outside he cant not do anything about it. They were a pair of running shoes and i told him that in order for me to see if they are a good fit for me i need to at least run in them a little ( they ended up giving me blisters everywhere in 15 min). Dan told me that "how is the company suppose to make money if we return and exchange shoes we can't sell again. I replied " how is the company suppose to make money if their customers don't return due to horrible customer service?" No reply. I left and called Foot Locker Customer Service and a women named Jessica was very helpful and gave me the phone number to the next closest Foot Locker (Southland) and told me to ask what the manger there can do. I called and Fernando said as long as if i have the box and receipt I can exchange the shoes for the pair I wanted. His store unfortunately did not carry the same brand. But he said if i can go back to the store and ask for the sku number of the pair of shoes that I wanted to exchange my old ones for, he would happily order them from his store. I went back and asked Dan to give me the sku number for the pair of shoes. He happily did. I asked him if he can so kindly save me the hassel from driving to another mall to exchange a pair of shoes and not have to wait for shipping (since he had the brand and shoe size i needed in the Stonebridge mall). He told me that if the other manager will exchange the shoes then good for me, but he would not. I left and came to Southland Mall and Fernando happily exchanged the shoes and ordered the ones i wanted. He said he was sorry for all the hassel i went through. So i want to say thank you to him. And to Dan, sorry to inform you that Foot Locker is still making money even though I exchanged shoes. Beware and be careful! Had someone fabricate a fake of my credit card and use it for $500 spread across 3 separate transactions (each taking place about one minute apart from each other) at this store. Who goes up to a cashier and presents three separate transactions consecutively like that using the same card? I'm thinking cashier is either in on it with the thief, or ringing up their own purchases. read more
