Bad experience with kitchen appliance purchases…read more I was finally in a position to purchase new kitchen appliances, so I went to Lowe's to check out the deals, since I had seen an ad advertising free delivery, parts, set-up and haul-away for Lowe's members, as well as increasing discount percentages for each additional appliance purchased. I found the appropriate appliances with good help and advice from a man in the appliance department and then was handed off to another associate to get price and delivery information. As we went through the process, adding each appliance, I saw the free items populating on the screen and kept asking about it, if the deal I mentioned was right. He said yes it was and that those charges would come off at the end of the process. I repeatedly asked to make sure about the deal and when I was repeatedly assured it was I felt confident I wouldn't do much better elsewhere and decided to make the purchase, to the tune of about $3000. I got my receipt and was distracted due to my kids being with me, so I didn't look over the receipt until a few days later when the first two of the three appliances were delivered. I then noticed that all the supposedly free charges were still on the receipt, to the tune of $365. I went in to the Lowe's where I made the purchase and explained everything. The employee who I was talking to said they should be able to make it right, but after talking to his manager, he came back and said they were sorry they couldn't do anything about it. I asked if I would just have to eat the $365 they told me I wouldn't have to pay in the first place, and he said yes. I said, so you aren't even going to meet me halfway or anything? I reiterated that the salesman had said the deal was correct and that the charges would come off the total, to which he dryly replied, "people make mistakes, you should have read the fine print." I then said, "I guess I'll be shopping at Home Depot from now on." He shrugged and walked away. It is hard to believe that a company as big as Lowe's would not do at least something to make this situation right. I am now shopping at Home Depot and elsewhere for all my home and work needs.

I went in three hours later and they hadn't begun mixing. Said they had been busy with customers! Am I not a customer?! Came back 40 minutes later and the paint was finally ready for pick up. $90!!!! And that was the supposed sale price! Stupid me didn't ask the price ahead of time because 4-5 years ago I bought a few quarts for around $8-9 each. I should have refused the order. All I can think is they used a high quality paint for the samples. I think the employee had a responsibility to inform the customer - me - of the price per quart ($21!). The employee just said prices had gone up due to covid.

It's heavy duty and perfect for a less than enthusiastic homeowner like myself. David has helped me during this fence project. I've made 3 trips to their store and showed up at closing time on 2 of those occasions. David was fantastic and was very accomodating even though I arrived at closing. The first impression when you walk in is that the place is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. There are several vendors inside with rented spaces and that gives people who come here to shop a huge selection. There is furniture, collectibles, t-shirts, and more inside the place. Each vendor brings something a little unique to the mix, making it an eclectic place to shop. Today is seemed like several of the vendors, most of whom already had pretty fair prices, we're having a sale, bringing even more value to the shoppers. I bought a beautiful antique small writing desk and got it for what I think was a great price. I also bought several small collectibles on sale for very reasonable prices. It was a great place to visit and I will be back periodically to keep an eye on what the vendors bring in to sell...

While most of the staff is outgoing and helpful, last weekend Jill was especially helpful and helped me work through my project needs to avoid a follow-up trip for something I forgot.
