They are delivered to the store, and the customer can pick them up there. Wallcoverings are a large part of their business, and the employees are always friendly and helpful. I moved to Ogden, Utah, and have been decorating my home, so I called the SW on Wall Ave in Ogden to ask about wall coverings. The man I spoke to was rude and very emphatic about the fact that they do NOT order the products; I would have to do that online. I thought he was awfully abrupt, and I don't mind ordering online, but I went to the store anyway, to look at their books. There were only about 8 books, but no place to sit and look at them except a poorly-lit nearby small counter. A woman approached me after I had been there for about 20 min., but she was obviously irritated that I was even there, didn't look at me, and was pretty rude. She answered my quick question as she was walking away. Basically telling me, "We don't do wallcoverings"! I didnt need help, but a good employee would have offered to help with pricing, etc. Why offer a product in the store without any customer service??? They honestly should just eliminate that product from the store. I walked around the small store just to see what they had. I was looking for wallpaper paste; never found it, and no one asked if they could help. I noticed that most of the employees were less-than-friendly to the customers, and the only customers I saw them spend any time with were a couple who were looking at a very expensive professional paint sprayer. Made me think that these employees must be paid on commission, but it doesn't excuse their lack of personality or willingness to engage with customers. I don't know how this store stays in business, especially since you can buy Sherwin Williams paint and supplies at Lowe's. I won't be back.

The level of incompetency at this store is hard to describe. We dealt with Wyatt, the assistant…read moremanager. After spending over $100 and a week of our time here to match a stain to our table and chairs, we discovered the amateurs here were literally unable to do their jobs. They couldn't even come CLOSE to matching the color we needed. See the attached picture. Instead, they gave us a color that turned out table into a pumpkin. In the end, they wouldn't refund or even let us keep the quart of stain we purchased. We ended up eating the entire cost of the project with nothing to show. Did you know you can actually go to Home Depot and they have samples that are spot on? That's what we should've done. Shame on us for thinking Sherwin-Williams could even come close to helping us. If you need overpriced paint supplies, that's fine. Please shop here. But don't ever rely on these amateurs to get a professional job done. Never again. And I'm happy to tell every one of my friends and family members to never shop at Sherwin-Williams.

I am not a stickler for this, but many people are, and I do think it is nice. Not to mention, after so much time in the store with no communication, it felt a little awkward. Eventually, I had a question and walked by one employee taking a personal call at the front desk. The other was arranging items in one of the aisles. I politely said, "excuse me," and waited so long for a response I thought she had not heard me. I was just opening my mouth to repeat myself when she turned around and brusquely said, "yes?" My inquiry was regarding different paint sheens as they had examples of every variety save pearl, and when I inquired for more details on that one in particular, she simply said, "oh, nobody orders that." Way to sell your product! After some prodding, she finally conceded it was similar to low gloss, and when I mumbled, "okay, thanks...." She just walked off. Didn't ask if I had any other questions or needed help with anything else. Imagine if I had wanted to place an order! The hassle! I love their paint, specifically Cashmere, which is just dreamy, forgiving for non-skilled home painters, and makes walls appear buttery soft. Thankfully, I've used Sherwin Williams many times before, so I'm not judging the company off this one odd and unhelpful customer service experience, but otherwise, I certainly would not have returned. Thankfully, there is also another location truly ¼ mile north of this one, so I just stopped by that store to make my purchase (and was met by two much friendlier employees). SW is pricey, but worth it for the glory that is Cashmere. Sign up for their emails and you will quite often receive a coupon for 30% off all paints and stains. Very occasionally, they will do 40%. You can purchase painting supplies like brushes and rollers (even the exact same brands like Purdy) for much less elsewhere, so skip 'em.
