It took us one month to get the dishwasher delivered and installed. That was unacceptable. Because of that poor experience, we chose Home Depot. On the 20th of April, Rick sold us a LG, dual ice maker, 4 door refrigerator. It was delivered and installed on 4/22/26 at 9:30 AM. Our old one was taken away. From the salesman to the delivery and installation guys, it was an stress-free and pleasant experience.

Placed online order for pickup of mulch etc. two hours later received email & text notifications order was ready for curbside pickup. Upon arrival an hour after I was notified, I followed online instructions to notify them to load my order. 20 minutes later and watching multiple employees just walk by and look at me then go back to playing on their phones, I went in to customer service. Three ladies working at desk. Only one customer being served in front of me in line. The other two saw me but never greeted me or asked to help. Ten minutes later, it's my turn and I tell them I've been waiting in pickup for 20 mins. The lady looks at her machine and says "sorry. I don't know why I didn't see this". She walks around confused and asked other ladies for help and comes back to tell me to go to Garden center and show them a barcode she handed me. I pull around to the Garden center where they told me and nobody was there. No order in sight. I walked in to the young girl at register (who was recording selfies) and explained my situation and asked where I needed to go. For 10mins she struggled on the computer, her cell phone and even my cell phone. A long line formed where other customers were badgering me because I was waiting on the girl. She looked at me after 15 mins and said "none of my stuff is working and I can't call anyone. G to customer service" where I just was. At this point, after an hour struggling to pick up and online curbside order, I walked back to customer service and ask for a simple refund. After struggling at register for 10 more minutes, they tell me the system is down and can't process a refund. I asked for the store manager several times. After 15 more minutes, not a single manager appeared or responded. Several employees attempted to help but none of them knew what to do and seemed to be annoyed with me and my issues. After almost 1.5 hours, I gave up and told them to load my order so I could leave. Again, they could not find my pending pickup order so they had to run all over the place to fulfill the order like I just asked for it.

Exemplary service at Ace Hardware in Justin -- especially from Miguel!…read more I brought my trimmer in because I needed a small replacement part. I showed Miguel a few pictures of what I needed, and he wanted to make sure he understood exactly what I was looking for. I mentioned that I actually had the trimmer with me in my truck. With a grin, Miguel said, "Well, let's go take a look at it!" We walked outside, and before I knew it, Miguel was carrying the trimmer back into the store for me. He took it to the back and discovered they didn't have the part I needed in stock. But here's what impressed me: Miguel didn't come back and tell me he couldn't help me. He found a solution before he ever told me there was a problem. Once he figured it out, he wrote up a ticket, handed it to me, and told me to head to the checkout while he took care of the trimmer. I paid, and when I got to the front, Miguel was already there waiting for me with it. Then he offered to carry it all the way back out to my truck! I assured him I had it from here... The entire transaction took less than 10 minutes. That's what great customer service looks like--friendly, proactive, efficient, and focused on finding a solution rather than explaining why something can't be done. Miguel, along with the other staff members who helped me, absolutely lived up to the Ace Hardware reputation: "Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks!" Outstanding job, Miguel. This is exactly how you earn a loyal customer.

On May 24th I decided to purchase a Weber Grill from Ace. An E335 Weber Natural Gas Grill, Weber…read moreGrill cover, Weber Griddle totaling $1,674.89. Learned the Justin Ace Hardware was the closest store that had this grill in stock. Great fairly close should be simple. It's been anything but simple. Originally, I was under the impression the grill would be delivered on Tuesday, May 26th but as the order processed the delivery changed to Thursday, May 28th. I received no communication from Ace with any updates so I called the Ace Justin location and learned my grill was ready and it would be delivered in a few hours (Thursday morning). I also learned though that the Weber Griddle wasn't ready as it was in route to be delivered the next day. I learned the Ace Rhome location had a griddle and asked if they could stop and get it and as it would prevent a trip the following day. Great everything is lining up perfectly. I asked the guy the condition of the grill and told him I was pretty picky. No scratches or dents and to inspect it closely. He assured me it looked great. The delivery guy arrived within just a few hours and I joined him on the truck to give the grill a go over. It was super noticeable that it had scratches on the stainless area near the knobs, directly in front. I grab some stainless cleaner to make sure and sure enough it was "damaged" and I simply explained to the delivery person I couldn't accept it. He indicated they had problems with the guy who does the assembly but that he was friends of the owner. I'm not sure how the scratches got there but knew I wasn't buying a Weber grill for $1,700 that was damaged. I ended up calling Andrew, a manager and explained the situation. The driver was on the phone with another manager who insisted the Entire order be returned. Andrew apologized and the driver left with all 3 items. The next day the credit had not been processed. I called and spoke again with Andrew the next day and he indicated I needed to cancel the order via their online platform in order to get the credit. Great, signed on with him and canceled the order. Received a notification that it would take 1-2 days to process the credit. What? Ok no worries. 2 days go by and I call their web team since I placed the order via Aces Website. The CSR called the store, confirmed it had been returned and explains it would take 7-10 days for a credit to post. It was at that very point I became upset and asked to speak to a manager. He indicated I would need to speak to the store management team. What? I requested that he call them and get them on the phone so I wasn't going back and forth. I waited on hold for approximately 15 minutes until someone at the store jumped on. I believe his name was Mike. He indicated the issue was with the griddle but he was taking care of it and I should see the credit post shortly. Nope. Here I am and it's the weekend and no credit had posted to my American Express. I've already purchased another Weber Grill from Lowe's and it will be delivered on June 6th. Fingers crossed. I went with the Weber stealth model to avoid the unnecessary scratches to the stainless steel even though I just had a new secondary refrigerator delivered and Lowe's did an amazing job. Every step was communicated and they were on time, professional and best part no scratches. I like to buy local. But it's times like this where you learn a lesson. ACE Justin...DO BETTER! All this was unnecessary....

Today, that appreciation grew even more! I reached out to Jabo's on behalf of Reach Out Honduras as we were gathering donations for our annual fundraiser and Jabo's Ace Hardware was very generous in supporting our event. We are so grateful for their willingness to support a cause that is helping provide educational opportunities and a brighter future for vulnerable children in Honduras. The manager I worked with, Mr. Spalding, was kind, gracious, and genuinely happy to help! As an extra-special surprise, we discovered that he was actually a former Mockingbird Elementary student where I taught years ago! What a fun connection and such a small world! It great to have him back in Coppell. I know businesses often hear from customers when something goes wrong, so I wanted to make sure Jabo's heard from someone who had a genuinely wonderful experience. Betty and another store associate helped me with another purchase. They were helpful, friendly and fun! After 30 years of shopping here at Ace Hardware, I can honestly say that their commitment to their customers and their community is something worth recognizing! Thank you, Jabo Ace Hardware, for your generosity and for having such wonderful people representing your store. Your kindness is very much appreciated! P.Taylor

I have shopped there for 12 years, perhaps 2-300$ a year. I brought in a blank key I had purchased many years ago and asked them to make a copy of my house key. They told me I had to buy a new blank or they couldn't do it. People shop at places like Jabos to get the service you can't get at the box stores. The young man couldn't figure out how to operate the machine and wouldn't admit it. Then he got a lady who gave me the "you have to buy from us" routine. Neither were friendly. Then the manager finally came and gave me the same routine. Finally I asked him if he was going to be able to help me. I asked the question in a way that got to the point and made him decide. He stammered around and never did answer. At that point I did say "shit" to which he got immensely offended and started pointing his finger at me. "The new machine won't let us". Surely there is an override and in the rare event that there isn't, I hope the owner takes note. Needless to say, but I won't be returning to the local small business because of two things. Poor attitude and poor service. As the manager of a small store, you have to make big decisions. they made me feel as though I was at one of the big box stores. The sad thing is that I shop there because I had come to enjoy and expect the service, in a world that service is hard to find. Before you judge me, let me ask you. If it was your store which decision would you make. Make a key or 4-5$?
