One of his coworkers looks at us and goes "I know you guys were waiting but he won't mix paint for you since he's the manager". I literally look at him and go but we were here early- why would he think we just walked in (the line wrapped around their paper towels and fertilizer bags)? We spend a lot of money shopping local, but his absolute rude attitude was completely uncalled for and unjustified- will not shop here again. We'll be giving our business to Berkeley Hardware for Benjamin Moore paint going forward.

I can say unequivocally that Hunterdon Paint is, by far, the best of the best! From stock availability to customer service, from store ambiance to product knowledge, they are unsurpassed. In fact, I routinely bypass other stores with the same product, sometimes cheaper, to shop here! Why? It's always better to do it once than to do it over! Now, regarding color, that is the hardest part of the project! I have a color consultant on staff, and she makes a world of difference to customers. The same is true of Helen, whom Hunterdon uses for color consulting. Talented, fun, and well worth the cost to get it right. Yes, Duncan is very good, knowledgeable and personable, but so are Bill and Jack, all highly professional and dedicated to helping the customer to not only get the right colors, but to get the whole project right. Their level of understanding and commitment to the customer is unparalleled in my experience, Period! I hope Rose returns and allows them to help with her project. Maribel was the service associate helping me and she has made all the difference in my project. Maribel recommended brushes for primer which were very good and even better ones to apply the paint on top of the primer for wood. This has made all the difference when it came time to refinish the porch and the steps. Also, the paint matching was done expertly. Not only was this the best customer service I've ever experienced when buying paint, but it is probably in my top 5 best customer experiences ever! Kristen helped me develop a color palette, and choose colors in the direction I wanted to go, that would complement both my color palette and trim color. I then purchased samples, and boards and tried everything at home. I loved 8/10 colors immediately and just had to return to the store to adjust the colors for two rooms. Because of Kristen's expertise I didn't have to spend much time choosing the perfect colors. She knew immediately which ones to suggest. I plan to return to Riccardi Brothers for a wallpaper project next! Run, do not walk here if you are looking to paint.

Guy behind register was preoccupied watching a game. I had to ask a few times if I could get an explanation of all the paint finishes as I'm not fully aware. Stopped in the other day to get touchup paint. Requested flat pale oak, small can. The cheapest as I only needed it for one spot. He ended up canning a regal select for me which is quite the opposite of the cheapest can. It's the most expensive. By the time I realized what had been prepared, I felt like I was left with no choice but to purchase it. Overall, I felt misled and overcharged, especially because I was very clear that I wanted the least expensive option for a small touch up. Combined with the lack of helpful customer service during my previous visit, I was extremely disappointed with my experience and would not return to this location.

Store manager Christian or his staff will help you choose your colors If you want help. They'll Happily mix a sample or a can of paint even 5 minutes before closing. The store is large and open so lots of space to consider paint colors and wallpapers. They have a smaller selection of tools, sundries and specialty coatings than ricciardi or Morristown lumber but you'll find pretty much everything you need for most interior/residential work.

This was the greatest place to come - they have a good selection of plants, planters, and materials. I have never seen such a big pansy selection in my life. I absolutely love pansies and had the best time picking out flowers for my flat. Prices are not unreasonable, but it is expensive. It's a great place to come and get inspired and do a light plant haul, but I'll probably save the really big purchases for more affordable garden center. With that being said, you do get what you pay for - and The Farm adds warranties to many of the pricier bushes and trees. If you're looking to outfit your backyard or you enjoy gardening, you have to make a trip to this destination garden center.
