At 4:10 the manager walks past us (as he helps a woman take out 4 gallons of paint to her car) and says to us "I'm not mixing anymore paint! We were supposed to close at 4!!" One of his coworkers looks at us and goes "I know you guys were waiting but he won't mix paint for you since he's the manager". I literally look at him and go but we were here early- why would he think we just walked in (the line wrapped around their paper towels and fertilizer bags)? We spend a lot of money shopping local, but his absolute rude attitude was completely uncalled for and unjustified- will not shop here again. We'll be giving our business to Berkeley Hardware for Benjamin Moore paint going forward.

I can say unequivocally that Hunterdon Paint is, by far, the best of the best! From stock availability to customer service, from store ambiance to product knowledge, they are unsurpassed. In fact, I routinely bypass other stores with the same product, sometimes cheaper, to shop here! Why? It's always better to do it once than to do it over! Now, regarding color, that is the hardest part of the project! I have a color consultant on staff, and she makes a world of difference to customers. The same is true of Helen, whom Hunterdon uses for color consulting. Talented, fun, and well worth the cost to get it right. Yes, Duncan is very good, knowledgeable and personable, but so are Bill and Jack, all highly professional and dedicated to helping the customer to not only get the right colors, but to get the whole project right. Their level of understanding and commitment to the customer is unparalleled in my experience, Period! I hope Rose returns and allows them to help with her project. She missed the mark on her review, as there is no better place to match paint, find colors, or start a project than Hunterdon Paint. This is just my humble (but totally accurate) opinion!

I wish Duncan was there when I went back, but now I'm hesitant to go back again. Maribel was the service associate helping me and she has made all the difference in my project. Maribel recommended brushes for primer which were very good and even better ones to apply the paint on top of the primer for wood. This has made all the difference when it came time to refinish the porch and the steps. Also, the paint matching was done expertly. I am super grateful and will be back again for all my painting needs.

Ricciardi Brothers offered a full selection of this brand's paint including their Bath and Spa Aura line which promised mildew-resistance, better coverage, richer colors, and zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds that pollute indoor air). I really loved the more refined color choices versus those offered at Home Depot and Lowes. Upon entering, there's a consultation table where you can discuss colors with an associate if needed. Further in on the right is a wall full of paint swatches galore. I got 3 samples then chose one. On my second visit to actually buy cans of my selection, they recommended the perfect amount of paint to buy, but I recommend buying a little extra for future touch ups in case of accidental damage. Also, in my own humble experience, even with the right mixing ratios, paint colors batch-to-batch are never really the same. Besides paint, this place offers higher quality paint equipment than larger home improvement stores and sometimes, they're worth it.

The store is large and open so lots of space to consider paint colors and wallpapers. They have a smaller selection of tools, sundries and specialty coatings than ricciardi or Morristown lumber but you'll find pretty much everything you need for most interior/residential work.

This was the greatest place to come - they have a good selection of plants, planters, and materials. I have never seen such a big pansy selection in my life. I absolutely love pansies and had the best time picking out flowers for my flat. Prices are not unreasonable, but it is expensive. It's a great place to come and get inspired and do a light plant haul, but I'll probably save the really big purchases for more affordable garden center. With that being said, you do get what you pay for - and The Farm adds warranties to many of the pricier bushes and trees. If you're looking to outfit your backyard or you enjoy gardening, you have to make a trip to this destination garden center.
