Jay and bartender gio are amazing and I love to come again just because of them. They are the best!!!

Staying here was an enjoyable experience. I recently attended a conference at this hotel. Staff was always courteous and helpful. I've been asked in the past by hotels to opt out of daily housekeeping, but Sheraton Grand offer you a daily $5 coupon to do so, good at any hotel bar, restaurant or shop. I had breakfasts and lunches with my conference, all above average. I made frequent meal and drink stops at the hotel's restaurant and wine bar. The food was delicious, trendy and presentations were unique. The gym was one of the best I've seen at a hotel these days, roomy, grade A lifting equipment, plenty of treadmills and elliptical, and a stretching area. There was no extra fee for wifi or fitness center facilities. Facility was tastefully decorated and clean. read more

Was here recently for a work trip, and a conference held at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix. The service was wonderful, the rooms are clean, the location was perfect, right down town in the middle of everything! Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Would recommend to anyone. read more

I cannot say enough kind words about Ian, the afternoon valet and Nick the night supervisor. Both deserve 5 STARS. Ian was very polite, professional and accommodating. I was concerned about the room we were assigned owing to having been in a fire. Nick went above and beyond to assure me that he would communicate my needs to the morning clerks (we were checking in the following day). He too was friendly and professional. Why only 3 stars? We exhibited at a conference at the hotel. The PSAV company charged us close to $400 to plug in our cash register for four days. This seemed absurd as they literally plugged the cord into the wall outlet. read more

Beautiful hotel, nice rooms, great service one big problem, for what you pay on the rooms you should get free internet. $13 bucks for 24 hours that is ridiculous . Awesome workout facility that you don't have to pay for, but they get that back in drink prices. 6 bucks for domestic? Ouch. read more

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying at this surprisingly quiet and classy hotel! The staff was very helpful and polite, check-in & check-out was very quick and smooth. The hotel lobby decor was very elegant and inviting.. I mean even the elevator music was nice. The room was huge and the decor was very chic w/balcony. Crazy thunderstorm/monsoon that day so didn't get an opportunity to visit the pool.. Infact the only reason I gave a 4 rate instead of 5 is because there wasnt much of a view from the balcony, and the front door was tricky.. it seemed to be slightly off track so we had to ram the door closed or aggressively push it open so there was no sneaking off and leaving little sis behind. read more

I did a conference called Oneness Phenomenon and the gift in May. The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. It started with the conference people all the way to the cleaning crew. I will do my event there again. The food was amazing too. read more

Booked this hotel through Priceline on a deal. It's really nice place to stay if you are around in Phoenix. I can't remember the name of the girl at reception desk (arrived around 9pm) who offered us a best view with a balcony. Thanks to the management for well trained staff read more

I want to recognize one of the best waitresses I have ever had while traveling. Her name is Elizabeth and she works in the District restaurant at the hotel. She remembered exactly what I had wanted from the day before, was extremely pleasant and efficient and really made the whole experience 5 Star!!! read more

Do NOT stay here!! Currently staying at this hotel and wow. What terrible service to guests and what a literal joke it's been in the last hour we've been here. There was a leak in the ceiling and our room floor is soaking wet, smells like stale water. They didn't move us from our room and had the nerve to say our only option was to DOWNGRADE. Pathetic and so disappointing. Lobby check in desk was rude as well. read more

Great hotel. Clean, great service, great location. Their food is terrible though from room service serving raw chicken to the restaurant in the hotel "District" that has a new american type menu that isn't all that hot (see: corn dogs and sloppy joes), if they improved it I'd give them 5 starts easily. read more

My husband and I stayed here at last month when we were visiting Phoenix from VA for a friend's wedding and the service and hospitality at this hotel was some of the best I have received from a hotel. The airline lost our luggage for a night and hotel was kind enough to give us a hospitality kit for the evening which was nice considering we hadn't asked for one and comped us for breakfast also. The rooms are clean, smell great, the hotel is very quiet, conveniently located, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thanks for the great customer service! :) read more

This is a great hotel. My room was perfectly clean and outfitted with high class touches (nice fixtures, new furniture, etc). I especially liked the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. My hall was very quiet and bedding was comfortable- making for a good night sleep. I will also add that I had friends staying in the Hyatt down the street and the Sheraton is much nicer! read more

Came to Phoenix for a business conference. I always have a hard time sleeping when I stay in hotels. My stay was a span of four days. The common areas are well-kept and clean, the decor is nice, very modern. The rooms are clean, beds were very comfy (no problems falling asleep!). Bathrooms are nice, as well. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Movie theater across the street. Both stadiums where the Diamondbacks and Suns play are within walking distance. Should I happen to need a place to stay in Phoenix again, I would definitely consider the Sheraton! read more

Hotel service is outstanding . The restaurants and room service it's top-notch. Attended a conference year the rooms were very warm. Biggest complaint was I was approached by three homeless people and that is unacceptable when I'm on hotel property. Not typically problem for me however they were a little too close for comfortb read more

Terrible pillows. No stuffing. 2 negative incidents with hotel staff. Location is good. T.V. Is tiny. Fridge in room.

Seems polite enough upon check-in and also room fairly clean however their "green policy is extreme". No room service for a 4 day/3night stay, very small bottle of complimentary toiletries, no towel changes. Phone defective in room. I went down to front desk and asked for a change of towels and asked kindly for another set of complimentary shampoo/conditioner/lotion, I was told it would be delivered, catch this someone in my absence dropped off like 6 bottles of each and left on top of toilet tank, (yeah in your face, free loader) i suppose it was what meant, and no towels. I called this time with my cell to the service desk and again explained that it was not necessary to drop off the number of items they did, I had a lot of activities and would not curb my showering for their "green policies", they again played me and told me they would drop off towels, nada. Sheraton I travel a lot, I will remember this and I recycle but I will not curb my showering and requiring fresh towels and no room service for your stupid cop out of "green consciousness", excuse for being stingy and padding your bottom line. read more

5 nights recently for IAAO Conference. Hotel is new and rooms are excellent. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful and was able to check us all in 7 hrs early!!! Gym is great, but I only used the 100ft lap pool which was excellent and salt water. $13 a day for wifi has to end!! (free in lobby area) read more

Excellent, beautiful Hotel. One block away from the Convention Center. Very friendly Staff. Great pool and gym, comfortable rooms, very clean. Coffee shop in lobby will give you free refills, Starbucks products. Shopping and restaurants right across the Street. ( Corner Cafe has great food all day long) Hotel: Only gets 4 stars because of the ( ridiculous) parking cost. If you bring your ( a) car, be prepared to pay $19.00 (for more than 6 hours) self parking and $29.00 for Valet parking. This is a problem that needs help. (Please!!!) read more

A bit pricy but that's to be expected. Very nice, great quality and great room service. The view of the downtown area from the window is also very nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend! read more

Amazing experience here! The mgr Brett checked in the large group I was w & after sharing w me he had a bad day w some disgruntled guests, he told me that we were a breath of fresh air & appreciated our upbeat energy. After being out for dinner, we returned to our room to find a bottle of champagne & fresh raspberries from Brett w a very kind note. I have never been sent champagne in a hotel before! In my profession I am to give the best customer service & be the Director of first impressions. I would highly recommend this hotel for surprising me with the most amazing customer service. It's rare these days to find that! read more

First off, the staff here was fantastic. They were very helpful and friendly. The proximity to downtown Phoenix is unbeatable as well, obviously. However, for work I always get put in Hilton's which are more times than not cheaper so I do not see the value in paying more for the Sheraton name. I believe the 4 star rating is in the building facade and lobby and it ends there. Don't get me wrong, the room was nice but not worth more than a Hilton. The elevators are set up in such a stupid manner (have to take a separate elevator if on levels 18+ to get to the basement for parking). The breakfast is completely overpriced considering all the great places to eat within walking distance for such less. I only stayed here because I got a deal through Amoma for roughly half off. I won't be back unless I get a similar rate. read more

if you don't want to be annoyed, pass on this place. after checking in with the sullen front desk employee (swipe your own card to plunk down posted $110 room rate), went to room and paid $15 for wifi (I've stayed on LOTS of hotels, can't recall last time wifi wasn't free. What is this 2005?). In am had to call front desk and wait on hold for 5 minutes 33 seconds (I know, I'm an ass, I timed it) to get coffee for the coffee machine. Then when leaving realized ALSO have to pay to self park in enormous and empty garage. If it costs $150 to stay here, just tell me upfront and let me decide. Don't annoy me the whole time I'm here. That just makes me inspired to write negative Yelp reviews. What are you Sheraton, stupid? read more

Rooms were small but clean. Sheets were noisy; yeah, I know that sounds weird. Kinda plastic-y, not very soft. Fitness center was big. Machines, free weights, and cardio equipment. No apples, bananas, or fresh fruit offered like at some other better hotel gyms. Starbucks on site; that was convenient. Bar stayed open late but they stopped serving food and they wouldn't allow you to bring in any food purchased outside the hotel. Bummer. Check your hotel options before staying here but overall a clean and reputable hotel. read more

Just wanted to leave a shout-out for the high quality of customer service I received here from the parking and valet staff. I have stayed a few times in the past but most recently I had very helpful service from from Cesar who assisted me in obtaining a receipt from a recent visit. Cesar went above and beyond in his assistance and was kind, prompt and professional. read more

This place was horrible. Berris at front desk was rude. Got here at 10:30 in evening and no one was at front desk. Booked rooms 5 months out and get her and are told only room with king bed available is a handicap room directly across from elevator. Place is dead too. Can't even get food or drink. read more

Sheraton Phoenix Downtown - 189.00 per night for this? No where to even put me stuff - Hotels Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

This was our first time getting a hotel. They told us nothing. I asked a billion question when I called and reserved the room. I only find out when at said hotel about the incidentals. Ok understandable. Day of checkout I find the stupid girl didn't give me a total with tax. Kinda makes it feel like hidden fees when you get your bill and bam sixty bux more than you were informed. This was the worse experience ever. Me and my friends will never stay here again. read more

The managers and staff at this hotel are extremely nice and care about you and your stay. Everyone is so friendly and if there are any issues they fix it. The beds are very comfortable and they put a fan in my room for me before I got there. The waitresses and waiters in the restaurant are really kind too. The location is excellent too. I'm here with a large AAM museum conference this week and I'm so glad they had it here. read more

My pet peeves at hotels are when keys deactivate after the first day and long elevator waits. This place had both. The lobby is super nice and spacious. There is good retail around. read more

We are business travelers so we stay in a lot of hotels. This is an excellent hotel! The customer service is excellent. The room was spacious, clean and well designed. They have a huge restaurant with a lot of menu options. They also have two bar areas so things do not get too crowded. The food is definitely way above average for hotels. The air conditioning is really good which is so important in Phoenix. We had a problem with the mattress which sagged. How can I still give them 5 stars? We called the front desk and in less than ten minutes Yetty, the housecleaning supervisor was in our room. In less than another ten minutes her team with Michael and Rosella were in our room with a new mattress! They were all so helpful. This is the kind of customer service that warrants a five star review. We will definitely stay here again. read more

They had an amazing gym. The hotel pool has a great view too. I was here for a conference and the food was actually good. I was impressed. They even had a hotel bar with happy hour and reverse happy hour. When I was checking out I noticed they had a free candy bar too. Big fan. read more

Loved this hotel. It is beautiful inside! Parking seemed kinda weird. The garage seemed a bit small. It's underneath the hotel and very tight but we found a spot. The staff was nice and attentive. We had a club level room so we were able to access the club lounge which was open 24 hours (to those who paid for the amenity) and featured breakfast items as well as hors d'oeuvres. That was awesome because you can get unlimited sodas, waters and cappuccinos or coffee. There were also snacks in there like granola bars and fruit. The room was super clean and the bed was comfortable. The second night when we got in, the garage was full but the valet service was available to us at the same overnight rate, which was great. There is a small bar in the lobby area and adjacent to the hotel is another bar called District American Kitchen & Wine Bar. We had drinks here but the bartender Damien was really cool. He made us feel welcome and was very attentive to us. The bathrooms smelled so good. They were the cleanest I've ever been in. There isn't a flaw I can point out really about this place or my experience. The hotel is located next to an outdoor shopping area with some other great restaurants. We were able to walk around to some other places so that made things convenient for us. I hope the next time I return to Phoenix for business or play I could stay here again. read more

I gave this 5 stars because it was exactly what I expected. The review by Robert C. was on target, as were many others. We were on the north side 27th floor with a king. Our view was of St. Mary's Basilica, very pretty. Quiet and CLEAN with a comfortable bed. The staff is very accommodating. We were staying for just 1 night and wanted easy and comfortable. We split breakfast because it was plenty of food to get us started and it was pricey. I know some people thought prices were too high, but this is a downtown hotel, again, it was as expected. Thanks for the bottled water warning. There is a movie complex across the street and next to it an outside mall with 6 or more places to eat. I do think the wifi fee is a joke, especially for business travellers. We did not use any other facilities. Thanks for all the heads up asking for a room etc. read more

This is a nice property in a great location. My room was clean, but small. I got a room with 2 beds and I thought they'd be queen size beds, but they were only full size beds. Which is to small for me and my husband and we aren't big people. I just prefer to have more room in my bed. So, I wouldn't stay here again unless I booked a king bedroom. read more

This is a review of the District, the restaurant inside the Sheraton. This is really one of the nicest and classiest places I have seen in a while. The restaurant and bar area (there are two of them actually) are SHEEK, really nice. We had a $100 coupon we bought at a charity event, and we went on a day when we knew it wouldn't be crowded. They have amazing art work on the wall, and the waitress was really friendly and attentive. They have Oak Creek Nut Brown Ale, which I really like, but which is usually hard to find. I would go for that reason alone. As for the food, and appetizers (we tried a bunch and two steaks) honestly not very good, and I am not sure what dish I would order if I ever went again. I honestly think they need to get a food consultant in there to help them with the flavors. But because the place was really nice and lavish, and because I would go back to sip on the oak creek while watching a game (it would also be a great place for a business meeting), I am still going to be a fan of this place. Just FYI if anyone reads this, you gotta work on the food, at least come up with one killer appetizer!! If you are in downtown Phoenix, give it a try and let me know if you agree. read more

Very nice hotel. Went to the District for happy hour. There were only 2 girls serving the crowded room but they both did what seemed to be an outstanding job. Food was very good. My fav was the mac and cheese. read more

I made a reservation three weeks in advance , got there , and gave me the wrong room . I go to talk to concierge and they give me another room , which was again not the room I had booked for . Finally i go down to talk to the manager about it and she gives me the correct room . Mind you , the same snotty concierge lady told me they didn't have any available . They also charged me for valet parking for three nights when I self parked . I called back to see what they could do fix the issue and they never called me back. I DO NOT recommend this hotel . read more

We are Starwood Preferred Members and the hotel front desk would not help us retrieve our Starwood Preferred account. They would not honor the rate we had on line and told us to book the hotel ourselves then made us wait 15 minutes to check in after we spent 1/2 hour retrieving our Starwood Account information and booking ourselves IN ThE LOBBY. No there were no other guests in line! We traveled from NY and were meeting friends or we would have left and gone elsewhere! Even at a 2 star hotel the front desk will gladly assist customers with account information. In todays world we are all using points and hotel travel accounts, the customer service at this 4 star hotel left a bad taste in my mouth. I will stay at the Hyatt or Hilton or any of the other 100 hotels in Phoenix the next time I am in town! Overpriced, 2 thin grey scratchy towels, 1 water for us to split, $150 a night, $20 to park. Stay somewhere else! read more

Had a great time at the District which is the bar on the first floor. New Years Eve was a blast! The band "Brownedog Blues Band" was excellent! We danced and danced! Such a great time. Also stayed the night. The rooms are very clean with Starbucks coffee-a real treat. Only negative was the service in the bar which was actually no service. We had to walk out to the lobby to get our own drinks. There were two girls who we spotted just standing around chatting who were supposed to be serving cocktails in the bar. We also had to clear our own tables as they were full of empty glasses and started falling on the floor. That was very disappointing. The good music made up for it. read more
