Nice hotel. Usually say that of most Westin hotels. This one is ideally located down town and recently renovated. Had some meetings here and it was very nice and convenient.

A casual seating area first floor on the way to the elevators.

Room 1732. Bed was very comfortable. Hallways were surprisingly quiet though the Greek folk dance festival was in town. Thermostat and heating and cooling worked well. Two free waters per day. Shower was great with both overhead and hand sprayer. Only real issue was the refrigerator didn't work well. It never got cold though the lights worked and it supposedly had a quick cool. We didn't have to have it so I didn't report it until our second morning when I went by the front desk. They offered to send someone up to take a look but we were leaving in 4 hours. Upshot: if you need a fridge for baby formula, food, etc, check your fridge when you arrive.

Excellent hotel! Very friendly staff, great menu, comfortable rooms. The employees in the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms were spotless and we had an excellent time.

Temp in room at check in. Keep in mind it's in the 50s outside...

I'd give it a ZERO if I could. At check in, asked if there was a microwave available on property to reheat some food. Agent stated they could send one up. After an hour of waiting called down to front desk to ask for an update on when the microwave would arrive. They were surprised it hadn't been sent up and put a rush on it. It arrived shortly after. While also on the phone I asked if there were any tricks to the a/c thermostat. Agent quickly stated that the a/c in my room was broken and they were already working on it. Which means I was checked into a room with a broken a/c unit and wasn't notified, they were probably hoping I wouldn't say anything. Agent stated to wait a few minutes for them to fix the issue. I ate dinner in the room, showered, gave them more than 2 hours as not to sound needy or rushed. Called down again and the agent stated they were still not able to fix the issue. It's now been over 3 hours in a 80 degree room. The agent then stayed to wait 10mins and she would call me back when she found her manager. I waited 30mins and no return call. Called down again and she wanted to give her another 10 mins. It's now been 4 hours, no communication, no sense of urgency to fix or correct the issue. I finally said I needed to go downstairs and wait because it was hot and I was sweating. I get downstairs and all of a sudden I have a key waiting for me. WHY DID IT TAKE 4 HOURS FOR YOU TO OFFER ME A NEW ROOM. No apologies, no compensation. Horrible experience!!

Kayla and Justin at the front desk had awesome hospitality! I work for the Marriott family. Nice big room. Close to Chase field nice tour of stadium. The lounge was just like the pictures. Would be nice if it was open on weekends.

Outside of Westin. Jacy and Dakota hotel restaurant.

Stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of July. The hotel is clean, modern and has an upscale feel. There is heavy construction during on the road beside the hotel and the large building across the street which made enjoying the roof top pool difficult. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and offered little bottles of water during the hot weather. The gym is by far one of the nicest gyms I've seen. They have Peloton bikes, a water dispenser, towels, new equipment and the coolest thing, two massage guns for your sore muscles. The hotel has a restaurant, Jacy and Dakotas that has a beautiful outdoor patio with a fireplace and dessert themed decor. Don't forget to check out their happy hour from 3 to 6pm. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and comfortable. There is a mini fridge and a small coffee maker, no microwaves. The hotel is walking distance from a lot of restaurants and some like cal bars. I only saw valet parking, however, it doesn't mean there isn't a parking area nearby. Overall, great experience, friendly staff, great restaurant for food, and walking distance from a lot of eateries and bars.

I stayed here one night, 3-17-23. I was in town for a concert. I had trouble finding the hotel. There was a lot of construction in the downtown area. There were cones everywhere and traffic was awful. The hotel had a fence around the area, I could not see the signs for the Westin. The fence blocked and obscured the building. The hotel was nice. The room was spacious and clean. The staff at the front desk was very nice. The only thing about the hotel was the valet. This was the only way to park your car. There is a valet fee. There was no self parking, parking lot. When I asked to get my car the first time, one of the valet staff came to assist me. There was about two parties in front of me and other two parties that came after me. We were all waiting for our cars. I've waited for at least 15-20 mins already. The two in front of me got their cars, but then the person after me got his car. I was still waiting. The valet was not very organized and the staffing for the valet is insufficient. When I came back to the hotel that night. The valet line of cars was outrageous. Traffic was blocked with cars and the valet front was filled up with cars. The staff was not parking the cars and it was overfilled. It was just bad. Overall, the hotel is nice, I had a good stay. They really need to improve on the valet. I would stay here again only if the construction is finished.

Big room with high ceiling and big windows! Everything in the room looked spaciously decorated. Huge mirror looked like art work almost. Two double beds and large desk , all very nice. Bathtub is low and long, pretty nice. Coffee machine inside huge door next to closet was not useful to me. Overall nice.

I was pleased with my stay at The Westin. Upon checking in, I was given an upgrade. I wondered if that was something they said to everyone though because I came down later and hear them say that to someone else and my co-worker said she got the same line. The illusion of feeling special was nice though, ha. Aside from this though, the staff was really friendly. One morning they saw me walking back to the hotel with some coffees and they opened the door for me. Maybe that's small potatoes, but they didn't have to do that. The lobby smells like rich lotion, and the attached restaurant and bar are very nice--and they offer romantic outdoor seating. I was saddened that the restaurant was meat-heavy and lacked vegan and vegetarian options. This is likely my biggest critique. As for the room, it was great. It was spacious, with a large tv, a couch, a single armchair, a desk, and a large bathroom. I couldn't have been more thrilled about that. I would definitely be thrilled to stay here again.

I suppose 4 stars is proper. They upgraded me to a suite, which was nice. Only here for 10 hours, so not a lot else to report on.

The hotel is inspired by the colorful and folk art influenced works of renowned mid-century modern architect and designer Alexander "Sandro" Girard. The hotel's bio says he was the main source of inspiration for the design of the Andaz Scottsdale. The property is beautiful to walk around, with all the landscaping, flowers and trees; some of them are marked with what kind of plant they are. There are century plants and aloe and various cacti. The fitness center is located at the spa. It has windows which open up onto the pool, which is a more private pool than the main pool. The staff is outstanding. Savannah, who ran the front desk on my most recent visit, is absolutely amazing and really helped with any questions or small issues with my stay. The restaurant is wonderful for the hotel breakfast. I recommend having cocktails there too. You can see a beautiful sunset from the bar. I love the open design of this hotel resort because it makes you feel like you're in the countryside and you can admire the beautiful views of Camelback as you walk around the grounds and hear birds chirping. It's so relaxing. Parking is easy and you can usually find a spot right outside your casita room as the parking circles the hotel. Toiletries in the room smell so good! Lavender with sea salt. It's really like staying in a spa! One of my favorite experiences at this hotel was taking a late afternoon outdoor class at the spa/gym on the large lawn where we did stretching/light resistance training with the the sunset behind Camelback Mountain as the backdrop. It was glorious. I definitely recommend trying one of the classes or "experiences" if you stay here. Some of them you have to pay extra for, but a few of them are included with your room rate. At first glance the hotel interiors and architecture seem extremely simple and minimal, but then you realize it's actually all a piece of mid-century modern inspired art. It's really fun to walk around and admire all the understated design details at this hotel.

We opted not to do this and am hoping to find available 'free' chairs provided with the resort fee. 3. Ice cream is another issue, 3 cups of Dippy Dots (picture attached) was $38.00, not including tip. It's a nice hotel but the cost to be at the hotel once you arrive is crazy... consider this before booking, I haven't ordered the prerequisite chicken fingers yet that come with every hotel stay. We went in December and they had all the set up for the JW Jingle event with ice skating and inter tubing. There were plenty of photos ops! We checked in with our pass and found some seats near the hot tub. The kids went straight to the slides and I went to hot tub. It was nice but kind of small especially when the sun started to set it got really busy. The food and drinks are outrageously priced as you might expect at a resort. The food was surprisingly good though! I got a taco salad, my son got hot dog and fries and his friend got a turkey wrap. It was good but was too expensive. But hey when in Rome! The lazy river is the best. I could floated in that all day! All in all in was an expensive but enjoyable day at the JW.

I decided to order a cookie with ice cream and an old fashioned to take up to my room. Again I tipped 25% My phone has text alert and I noticed the bill was $42.62 for what should have been $22.00 max I bought it to my bar tenders attention and she was working things out on the registry and came back with a receipt that didn't have prices just my order but she had added 1 extra beer. I told her it was wrong and she said it wasn't that the first time she had only charged me for 2 beers and this was my third beer. I did not want to argue so I left it at that but I couldn't sleep thinking about it. I mean dang I even tipped her good. The next day I reached out. To management I don't mind taking care of my servers and I'm always a good tipper. But I don't like being taken advantage of because they think I had a few drinks. Or they think I won't notice extra things. This is not okay. The hotel you check into is supposed to be a safe place like home to enjoy a drink or two. The management offered to refund the first bill of 52.18. But I told him I just wanted what I was over charged refunded plus my tips. At this point I feel she had the chance to correct my bill and make things right but she chose to make me feel like I was in the wrong. After the manager added my first bill up after I told him what I had ordered it turns out she charged 4 beers the first time and not just my 3 and way over charged me the second time. This is a great place to stay but keep an eye on what you order. More so late at night. Also my hot wings were cold in the center but I didn't even mention it to her at the time. As a solo traveler who had just made that drive, being able to walk straight to a room and crash was everything. He took a few minutes to catch me up on what had changed since my last stay; the breakfast situation being the highlight of that conversation, which turned out to be... relevant. The next morning, after a rough experience at breakfast, I mentioned something at the front desk and Donna, the front-end manager, stepped in immediately, not defensively, but genuinely wanting to understand what happened and make it right. That kind of accountability is rare. Saturday night brought a similar hiccup at the bar, and Sayan handled it the same way: professionally, without hesitation. The room was exactly what I've come to expect from Kimpton, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. But the real story here is the staff outside the restaurant.
