Let me start by saying, definitely book with Rusty! He was simply AMAZING! We came here to celebrate a birthday and it was the best birthday by far! For starters the location was very easy to find. We met by their sign near a steakhouse and then followed Rusty out to the ranch on a dirt road (it was very manageable, even in a little Chevy cruze). Once we got there we went and paid in the little office and we're offered restrooms before the ride. We got to ride on Blue Eye and Gizmo, two well trained horses. Everything we did from the trail ride to the Wild West town was included in our price! The trail was so relaxing and had some beautiful views and Rusty taught us A LOT about the nature, animals and Indian markings out there! We all swapped some really fun stories on our ride as well. He also took tons of great pictures of us on the ride and even some of the views and nature he taught us about too (a few are attached)! After the ride he took us by jeep to a really cool Wild West town they had built and we got to go into his saloon for a drink. He taught us a lot about the stuff in his saloon that was really cool too! Then we got to throw axes, shoot a pistol and do some archery. Rusty offered to take many pictures for us while we were in the Wild West town and showed us all of the buildings they had out there. They even had some real grass out in the middle of the desert, who would've thought? We loved that it was just our group there too! It made it feel so catered to us. We will definitely be going back again to ride with Rusty and 110% recommend that anyone else go and experience their ranch and Wild West town as well! We can't wait to return!

What an amazing experience! Our guide Sarah was awesome! She knew so much about the land and horses. We had a private trail ride for an hour through the beautiful desert. Then we were taken in an UTV and went to their historical western town. It was so cute. There we went into the saloon, did axe throwing, horseshoe toss, cattle roping, archery and we shot a 22! All so adventurous and fun. Our horses were named: Wyatt, Jason, Oakey and Sparky- the boys! They were sweet and easy to ride. With the ride and time in the "town", we ended up being there from 10-2:30! Sarah made it memorable, and we would highly recommend spending the day here.

I would tell you this. Don't hesitate and just go there. Western Destination offers an experience you won't regret. I would like to thank the staff for this amazing day. Especially Rusty. Rusty was our guide. He took great care of us. Extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and the vegetation he also has a lot of funny/interesting stories. He loves his horses and they love him back. It was just a pleasure spending time with him. I highly recommend you to pick him as your guide.

This was the most beautiful ride. Horses were calm, gentle, and well behaved. The western town was well maintained and so fun. They have games set up around the town like axe throwing, bow and arrow practice, lasso's laid out to try,etc... The saloon was so great too! Overall we had the best experience, and now I can't wait to go back and bring friends. This would be awesome for a big party too! Our horse guide was genuine, kind and super friendly. His name was Rich. Also highly recommend him!

First safety; next tons of fun!!

We had the best time and will absolutely be back again. Took our 7 year old and she was able to do it all: ride solo, and enjoy shooting, archery and axe throwing. The experience was far more than we expected., and you really get a lot for the price. Between the ride and the other activities, we were there for about 3 hours, which felt perfect. Big thank you to Zach for taking care of us and being a great guide. FYI, don't recommend using the address here on Yelp yo get there. You should follow the directions that they give you.

Wanted to take the kids (14, 12) horseback riding outside the city for a more back-to-nature feel. We ended up going with the Canyon Creek location and couldn't be happier with our decision. You have to cross a couple of flowing creeks to get to the ranch so, if you don't have an SUV, they have you park and ride with them. When you check in they ask if you want to add lunch for an additional charge. Do it. We had the cheese burgers and they were grilled fresh, huge and there were plenty of toppings, sides and dessert to fill everyone up. Once checked in we were introduced to our guide and on horses within 5 minutes. Every group is kept private so once the three of us were on our mounts, we were off. The horses were beautiful and in great shape, obviously well cared for. The trail wound through the desert, canyon and gave us some beautiful scenery to enjoy. Our guide was able to provide some interesting info on the area, but didn't talk the entire time so we could just enjoy the ride. After the ride we hopped into a 4x4 that took us across (through) a flowing river to a small 1800's style Mexican village they had built. We were offered beverages then escorted around the village for hatchet throwing, roping, archery and shooting a real .22 pistol (perfect for my 12 year old who had never fired a gun). After lunch we explored on our own and discovered panning for gold, horseshoes and other activities. All in all, it was a great way to spend 3 hours and well worth the 45 minute drive.

BEST DATE IDEA! Brought my boyfriend here as a birthday present, it exceeded my expectations! Rusty was the best! He really took the time to explain and point out everything during our horse riding, as well as take pictures for us. We had so much fun with him through all the activities and really made us feel welcomed! We can't wait to go back and bring the kids. Was so worth the trip out there.

I can't say enough great things! Our guide Todd was absolutely an angel with our special needs daughter! He made sure she got to enjoy every even like everyone else in our group you could see she felt so included and had so much fun! Two of us have never been on a horse before and were absolutely terrified....with his guidance we felt like naturals after 5 min! It was worth every penny and more! We had so much fun and it was so beautiful we couldn't help but want to return each year from now on if we can. They are truly attentive to the guests needs and go out of their way to provide excellent service and a memorable experience to everyone! Thank you so much for the great memories!!! Hope to see you all again soon!

There is a great take out place across the street you must try and it is super cheap [for what you get]. Lobster roll for $15; yeah. The venue manager, Lorena, is completely unprofessional, and the communication throughout the entire process was a nightmare. If you are considering booking this space, please be aware of the multiple red flags we experienced: Right from the start, Lorena canceled our first viewing appointment. Once we rescheduled and booked, communication via text became incredibly difficult. She would take days to respond, routinely failed to fully read messages, and would either ignore direct questions or respond with completely irrelevant answers. Getting a clear answer on when we could meet to pay our remaining balance was an exhausting process of constant follow-ups. During our initial visit, we were explicitly told multiple times that we could have a taquero set up inside the venue. However, when we arrived a month before the event to pay our final balance, Lorena abruptly changed her story, stating it wasn't allowed due to code issues. While code compliance is understandable, she should have contacted us to let us know about the changes sooner. Fortunately, our caterer was flexible enough to switch to a buffet style. We were told the venue would be open starting at 9:00 AM on the day of our event. When we arrived at 1:00 PM to set up, the building was locked. It took staff 30 minutes to arrive and open up, leaving us and our vendors waiting outside, which threw off our entire schedule. During setup, venue personnel constantly hovered and micromanaged us--complaining about the doors being open while we were actively unloading heavy items and restricting one of the vendors from using the VIP suite we had explicitly been told we could use for storage. Our contract required a $500 refundable deposit, which we paid in cash and were promised would be returned in cash. It ultimately took nearly two weeks of constant hounding to get our money back. When I went to retrieve it the Thursday after the event, Lorena claimed she didn't have the cash and promised the owner (Lupita) would Zelle it to me. After providing my information, Lorena would not respond to my texts for days, or sometimes would not respond at all. Fed up, I managed to track down the owner's number directly. When I spoke to Lupita on Friday, she informed me that she had actually given the deposit money to Lorena the day prior. Lorena had the money since Thursday and had not contacted me, even though she knew I had been asking for it for two weeks. The owner told me I could pick it up that day. When I finally went to pick up the deposit, Lorena was incredibly short with us and didn't even apologize. If I hadn't taken it upon myself to bypass management and contact the owner directly, I would probably still be waiting for my money. What should have been a celebratory experience was ruined by unnecessary stress and unprofessionalism. The venue itself is great for parties, but the venue manager/coordinator was horrible. Save yourself the headache and book elsewhere.

We soon learned that MariaLaura continually monitors her clients' tours to ensure that all proceeds according to plan. A native Italian, she has comprehensive and intimate knowledge of every region of Italy, including areas quite off the beaten track where we intended to go. She has a vivacious personality and a genuine interest in getting to know her clients and understanding their travel styles and preferences. While she was charting out our itinerary, we stayed in touch by phone or email, working out all of the details. The trip she planned for us involved stays in seven cities, starting in Genoa, looping south through Cinque Terre and Florence, turning westward through Bologna and Parma, and finishing in Torino (all cities besides Florence were new to us). She booked all transfers and hotels, working with several local travel companies. The entire tour was indeed fantastic in every way, and went without a hitch. We had contact information for the local companies, and on the few occasions when we needed to be in touch with them (for example, when our boat tour of Cinque Terre had to be postponed because of bad weather), they were absolutely responsive and reliable. All of the drivers were punctual and personable, and even those who professed not to speak English spoke quite a bit and were eager to point out sites and provide interesting background information. Hotels were all first-rate and very well located (always an important criterion for us). MariaLaura booked walking tours in each of the cities we visited, and all of these tours were wonderful and essential to our experience. Otherwise, we were on our own in each of the cities to explore as we saw fit. Since we know Europe quite well and are comfortable with European languages, this worked out very well. (It's less likely that we'd try this approach in other parts of the world.) We took a fabulous day trip from Genoa exploring the western Italian Riviera and Monaco without a guide but only a driver, who took us from place to place and even to some places that he didn't know but that we had read about. On days when we were transferring from one city to another we tried to stop at points of interest along the way. For example, on our way from Bologna to Parma we stopped in Modena to tour the Casa Pavarotti, the Ferrari Museum, and the medieval city center. It's important to note that we could not have done such a tour on our own with a rental car. Parking would have been next to impossible in many of the places we visited. We were able to get out and explore while the driver waited and picked us up at a pre-appointed spot. MariaLaura also booked several excellent specialty tours, including an unforgettable private sunset boat tour of Cinque Terre and a small-group tour outside Parma (just four people) featuring locations where Parmigiano Reggiano, balsamic vinegar, and prosciutto are produced. MariaLaura was very helpful and patient with us as our plans developed. When we found out that tickets were available for a performance of Aida at the Teatro Verdi in Busseto (outside Parma) on a certain date, she reworked the schedule to make sure we would be there. This was not a trivial matter, since the timeframe was narrow and hotel reservations for the hotels we wanted were not readily available. We appreciated the way she willingly took on the challenge and got back to us quickly with a revised schedule that worked out perfectly. She is truly a gem. The cost for this trip, not inexpensive, was nevertheless a very good value. MariaLaura worked with us to tweak the program so as to keep it reasonably on budget. Our tour of Northern Italy was truly a dream vacation. Having been to Italy a number of times, there are still areas that we have not explored. If and when we plan another trip, we hope to do it through Fantastica Italia.
