Wow what a beautiful hotel! The next time I'm here in Phoenix I'll need to stay here!

Pulled up to the hotel and unfortunately Self Parking was not available but the had Valet for a discounted price. Valet attendant was helpful and Polite. Checking in was nice and fast. The room was nice, bathroom had like 5 mirrors but it was cool. Bathroom was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and soft. Had the chance to be there during the Christmas holiday and they had a tree up that was cvery pretty. Also, a beautiful train set near the front desk and restaurant that was decorated with snow and "north pole" items. It was nice to see a hotel ingage in the holiday spirit the way they did. The restaurant staff was friendly. We had the opportunity to try their mini pulled pork sandwhiches. There were 3 mini kaiser rolls with pulled bbq pork and a tin, thin slice of apple on top of the meat. It was very tasty and hit the spot at 10:30pm. The tater tots were delicios as well. Loved the Restaurant! The day of check-out there was a line to get your car from valet that went through the lobby. It was annoying having to wait in that line, but the hotel put out a table with fruit and coffee for guest to help themselves to while waiting. I think this was EXCELLANT customer service. It made up for having to wait in line for your car. I look forward to going back next year :) read more

The service was outstanding from check-in to housekeeping (thank you Amelia!)! The lobby and rooms are updated and quite nice. It is so convenient to the convention center and entertainment (live performances and art). The only reason I take a little away is the sound. I could hear almost every sound from the neighboring room. Luckily, I was not next to a big party room, so all was well. I could hear the TV clearly, conversation, etc. If it weren't for that, this would be a 5-star rating. If you need to be in the downtown area, this is a great option! read more

Free internet at the Link Cafe in the lobby if you are a guest of the hotel. Lots of stations, and you can sit as long as you like. I like that. I don't always want to lug my computer around, but I do want easy internet access to check out Yelp and plan my next eatery or hot spot. Big, tall, vacuous lobby. Pool next too the large, large workout room. The lounge chairs at the pool line up and face a wall across the narrow lap pool. I imagine there are logistics to work out when designing hotel pools. Nice rooms with large bathroom so I can spread out and get pretty! read more

Nice hotel that offers valet for $20+ and self parking for like $15. The hotel has a bar in lobby and cafe on first floor. A bar and pool on fourth floor opens at 11 am and good can be ordered from bartender which was pretty good. . Pool is heated and there is Jacuzzi as well. Business center down stairs open all day and night which was a life saver. The best part..bed was so comfortable..like sleeping on a cloud. All in all pretty cool..was just disappointed that though it is in center of where it's all at in city..it was calm and dead after 8pm. read more

The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown is amazing. I can't say enough. Me and my boyfriend had a booking error and Lorena and Alex at the checkin made it up to us and took care of us to make sure we could still get a room. They really care about your stay here. Thanks again Lorena! read more

I stayed at this hotel for close to a week to attend a conference. The rooms were nice and clean, and the staff members were all friendly, polite, and accommodating. I arrived several hours before check-in because I came in on a red-eye, but the front desk stall were able to get me settled into a room anyway - which I *really* appreciated after a long sleepless night! Also, the meeting rooms were pretty close together and easy to navigate, as well as comfortable and tidy, and the food we were provided between sessions and at scheduled lunch events was very good. The only thing I will say is that they usually charge for in-room internet, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. However, my conference had arranged for attendees to get free in-room internet, so I did not have to pay. So if you are going to be staying at this hotel for a conference or other work event, ask the front desk if free in-room internet is part of that. read more

We just stayed here two nights for Comicon... it was not a pleasant experience. This was our first time here and we were excited to stay at a luxurious 4-star hotel (really it's like 2 stars) and enjoy their pool and hot tub (not expecting all that blood... read on). The GOOD: the hotel itself looked nice, the lobby was an inviting place to hang out, our king bed and pillows were really comfy, and things seemed nice on the surface. The BAD: the towels in the bathroom are like sandpaper (not soft or luxurious at all... these were more fit to wash a car with), the refrigerator in the room was so small we had to smash and bend our to-go food containers just to fit in there, and there was no microwave in the room. I ended up finding a couple teeny tiny microwaves in an open area on the 4th floor, but they were so small it wouldn't let my food container actually spin around to heat thoroughly. There was nothing else in that space... no napkins, no plastic forks / spoons, no paper plates, etc., just a couple cheap and tiny microwaves that barely worked sitting on a table. It seemed like an afterthought for Sheraton guests, not a notion of 4-star service. The UGLY: We could have stayed anywhere, but we stayed here specifically because of the pool and hot tub. When we got in the hot tub, we noticed a considerable amount of blood pooled right along the lip/rim of the hot tub that oozed down the side wall into the water. This was at 10pm on Friday. Gross, but stuff happens and we din't make a big deal of it. Now, fast forward 24 hours... we go back Saturday night thinking surely it would have been cleaned up. NOPE! Not only was it not cleaned... there were more spots of blood! They could have been there the whole time, but we just really weren't looking for them at first. Not just in hot tub, but along the pool too! We saw 5-6 areas along the deck where someone might sit and along the inside rim were someone's leg might hang were a good amount of blood had smeared and dried. Maybe this was a prank from one of the zombie people at Comicon or maybe it was real blood... either way, the fact is the Sheraton people didn't bother to check or send anyone to clean any of that up in a 24 hour period. We had to go down to the front desk and tell them ourselves. We did not get to enjoy the pool or hot tub, in fact this experience was pretty gross, yet we paid full price for the ability to do so. The front desk people didn't care to offer any discount or try to make it up to us in any way, yet again showing no notion of 4-star service. This place overall is a solid 2 stars with a 4-star price tag. I can still feel the sandpaper towels on my skin when I think about them, they were that bad. read more

This is the perfect hotel for the business traveler or someone wanting a nice hotel in a great location downtown! The entire hotel is new and very clean. All of the staff have been very friendly. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup off the kids menu and I am certain it was the best grilled cheese I have ever eaten in my entire life! They offer self parking which I have used all four stays in the last two months and it is very convenient for a business traveler who is coming and going. You can't go wrong with the Sheraton in downtown Phoenix! read more

Great hotel in downtown Phoenix. Stayed a couple of days with the family and there is a good amount within walking distance from the hotel, including Chase Field. The fitness room is top notch, which is great considering there are some good food options available nearby and keeping up on the excercise means keeping the weight gain to a minimum. The only complaint I had was the charge to park in the garage. I just personally feel that should be included in the rate and not doing that seems a bit of a trap. That said, the staff was very helpful and the accomodations were extremely nice. read more

Stayed at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix for 2 nights in early August. We booked the room through Expedia for $127 a night. After booking the room, I found I could have stayed at the Hyatt for about $25 less, but I couldn't cancel my reservation without paying fees. PARKING Parking was $19 per night for self parking or $29 for valet. We opted for the self parking and it was easy to find parking spaces close to the elevators. CHECK IN Check in was quick and easy with almost no wait. We originally were given a room on the 19th floor. After we went to the room, we quickly noticed the room had not been cleaned. The room was made up, the beds were made and towels folded, but there was food on the floor, crumbs and hairs in the bed and lipstick on the toilet seat (don't ask me how that got there). I went down to the front desk and they moved us to a room on the 27th floor. They said the room was an upgraded room, but it looked exactly the same as the other room to me except for a view in the other direction. ROOMS The rooms were nice with newer furnishings. Each room had a small refrigerator and safe. It was HOT in Phoenix, but the hotel was nice and cool. The AC in the room worked great and I actually got cold during the night. The beds were nice with nice sheets and comforters. If you are used to the ultra comfortable beds the Marriott usually has, you will probably be disappointed with these beds though. LOCATION The location of the hotel is great. It is close to ASU and the convention center. Chase Field was a 10 minute walk away. We ended up using Uber for $4 to get to the Diamondbacks game because it was so hot outside. After the game, we caught a pedicab back to the hotel. Downtown Phoenix was nice, but I wouldn't stray too far from the immediate downtown area (at least without a car). It seemed like the neighborhood went downhill pretty quick in some areas. Although you are in the middle of downtown, it seemed everything shut down early and it was kind of quiet. Even the Starbucks across the street closed at 8 PM. Getting around downtown was easy. I was surprised at the lack of traffic there was. Overall, the hotel was very nice and modern. I gave it 4 stars, but would have been more if the room was cleaned. I was kind of disappointed the cleanliness of the first room and how it could slip through the cracks like that. Obviously cleaned by someone who hasn't bought into the huge role they play on the overall appearance of the hotel and brand. read more

Not luxurious, but clean and fairly priced. Location is downtown next to convention center and sport stadiums, theatre, etc. Service was excellent. Hotel room was clean, quiet and secure. Separate elevator for top floor rooms was appreciated. Bath products a bit on the low end and so were the towels. Bed was comfortable, room was of adequate size. Starbucks coffee pods, small cube fridge. No mini bar. Fitness center was super! As was the salt water lap pool. Again, nothing fancy, but clean and quiet. read more

Any to an event here. I travel for a living. The waitress disappeared with my credit for 10-15 minute intervals. While I appreciate that they host multicultural events if you do I - do it tight and staff it right Had A discussion with he bar about he service and not only were hey nonapologetic they hAd security peering over my shoulder Wheaton should reconsider their entire management staff and think about a ottos more diversity as downtown Phoenix becomes more diverse read more

We LOVED our stay at the Sheraton. My hubby and I were at the hotel for a conference. Vanessa Hernandez was amazing and gave great customer service, and Frank in valet was a joy to joke around with. He teased my hubby about baseball and was just very fun. The only drawback is that the pillows are VERY soft, and if you ask for firm pillows they bring you pillows that are barely different than the first. I got a terrible headache from not having enough support on my neck. Next time I'll bring pillows! Love this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we come to the same conference next year! read more

Stayed here for a work trip. We had our conference in the ball rooms. Loved this location and the awesome amenities!

Um, maybe I could give this place a second star, but I don't want to and I'm not going to. The hotel itself itself is fine, so long as you have no intention of interacting with staff anywhere on the premises and book directly through their site. I'd been here on numerous occasions for events and conventions and dealt with crappy service on multiple levels, but its not a bad property or downtown location so I considered booking it on the fly through a third party site. The date was a month in advance and when I was tired I hit a command for back that lead me to book instead of modify the date. I accepted my lack of availability to further search/debate and went to check in only to find the error and the hotel being full. Was what it was and I'll take some blame. The employee at the front said she'd make a note and told me I'd just to call and wait potentially up to 3 weeks for the credit to hit. No credit was issued and the manager tried to claim I stayed after I had to bring the matter to my bank...months after my last visit to Arizona. I forgave the crap service at every event, time I dinned here, or went to the bar, but not this; they give the brand a bad name. read more

Ok- let me start by saying that the Bell Desk when I was checking out was horrible and unprofessional when I went to pick up my luggage! Matt Knobbe was my first Bellman and was awesome! Kudos to him. When I went to pick up my luggage Scott took my first ticket and was great. As he went to retrieve it I was digging around for my second ticket. When I found it, Jose was right in front of me at the counter. I placed it on the counter and he just stood there silent and didn't even say "Scott will be right with you" or even acknowledge me. It was like he was avoiding me, he also didn't make eye contact with me either. Scott then came out and graciously took the second ticket and retrieved my 2nd item. Scott even helped me walk them to another section. Thanks Scott! As Scott was retrieving the 2nd item, a Jeff came behind the desk and started interacting with Jose. Jeff began to explain some issues and room counts or something along those lines. It was an issue that he was speaking negatively about. I felt this was extremely unprofessional to do in front of a guest. Also, Jose had no issue chiming into that convo, which was disappointing. His great hair didn't make up for the lack of interactions with guests. Gave me the perception he was only worried about tips. Or, he shouldn't even be in that department. Rest of hotel was awesome, candy jars when we checked in at the lobby were great. Lobby Bar was good, but on Sunday evening the hostess was lacking any attention to guests. Young man in gift shop was great, but one night seemed as if he had a friend or coworker hanging out. Definitely was not in a uniform. read more

I had a wonderful experience here for Netroots. My room was spacious, had an elegant, modern look, had a ton of bath products, even a loofah! The lobby area always had cold water for that scorching heat, and had 2 great bar areas. All my service interactions were prompt and pleasant, and they even hooked me up with some band aids after I was done saving the world for the evening. Great location, friendly staff, elegant interior- I would mosdef stay here again. 5 Stars. read more

I stayed here during a 4 day work trip. I have to say that so far my experience has been great. They staff is amazing! We did a team building scavenger hunt and the staff was so helpful. Most of the time hotel meeting food is horrible. I have not had a horrible meal. It's actually good. The pool is small and I thought the view would be better. Housekeeping has been great! The only complaint is the TV remote control. You have to press it extra hard to change the channel. I could have called about it. I didn't. read more

Really liked this hotel - clean, nice, green, well-equipped. The greeting services were very nice - with beverage and refreshment offered. Standard freebies in the room included 1 pack of Starbucks coffee and 1 pack decaf Starbucks coffee, as well as two tea bags and cream and sugar. And a bottle of purified water. The toiletry liquids are not fancy nor impressive, but I usually bring my own so does not bother me. read more

Recently saw a review by a Phoenix Pedro of CSULB being negative.... From what i was told the hotel did their best accommodate everyone. As is typically the case with scientific conferences over booking is typical. the hotel did what they could and upgraded people to suites. Her roommate enjoyed the stay and appreciated the lengths the hotel went to when trying to accommodate their guests read more

There's clearly two types of Sheratons: 1) Old ratholes that should be shutdown b/c all they do is destroy the brand and 2) New construction like the Sheraton Phoenix built 2 years ago or the Sheraton TriBeCa that was brand new construction and has been open a couple of months. Great property, good service, solid concierge lounge, quality rooms and acceptable internet speed 1.70 Mb/s down (http://www.speedtest.net/result/1052363059.png). read more

It's a nice hotel. I think it's one of the nicer ones downtown. I'm not too fond of the layouts and where only certain levels go to certain floors. However, the ambiance is good and I love the restaurant that's connected to the hotel. The food there is pretty good. I also love that there's a bar in the lobby too so you can have a good time whenever you want. I stayed here multiple times and it hasn't disappointed. It's definitely nicer than a Four Points Sheraton! Haha. But you get what you pay. read more

This place ROCKS! nuff said. Seriously. Staff= professional, NICE, happy, and not fazed by the craziness of the convention. Room= quiet, (and considering what what going on, very good) Prices= major convention going on, and I paid less than at a non-convention room in other cities. You need to seriously consider staying here. You will be happy. I was. read more

I spent 5 nights here in June '15 and boy was Phoenix HOT! The Sheraton kept it nice and cool in the hotel. The AC in my room worked well. It was convenient to have a Starbucks in the lobby while the full service one across the street was undergoing renovations. The front desk staff was friendly and the bellhops were quick on their feet to get a cab or assist with luggage. The room was a decent size and well maintained. The hotel is in close proximity to the airport (15 minutes) A few cons: I didn't find any great restaurants in a close walking proximity, the pool is rather small (more like a lap pool) and was hazy with a lot of hair lurking around, and the gym might be a bit small for the size of the hotel. I think this hotel is about a 3.5 on my rating scale. read more

Okay people. I just knocked you down from four to three stars. Why, do you ask? Let's talk about the pool. I swim laps every day I can. A few weeks ago I was here and forgot my goggles. The PH and chlorine in the pool was so far off that two hours later my buddy had to read the dinner menu to me. My bad--forgot the goggles. This visit I remembered my goggles but water was so cloudy I couldn't see more than a few feet in front of me. That's pretty serious when you're swimming laps in a white pool with no end-of-lane markings. I cut my swim short because I was afraid I was going to plow my head into the end of the pool That kind of stuff paralyzes people. So, please, Sheraton. Get your act together on that pool before I come back next week. Please don't make me go up the street to the Westin! read more

Not impressed so far. Showed up at 11:30 and they had no rooms avail with a King Size Bed, which was requested. When I got into the room, the toilet was filled to the rim with the last guests lunch...Nice! read more

I cannot comment on the accommodations in the hotel. I was here for a conference and used the 3rd Street Cafe, their bar / restaurant, for lunch and dinner. I seated myself in the bar for lunch. There were not very many people there. He took 15 minutes for somebody to come up and ask me what I wanted. I asked for a drink and for chicken strips. Ten minutes later, and showed up in a plastic container To Go. I just ate my lunch at the table, no problem, I figured they were busy. I returned at 8 o'clock to have a glass of wine get some more chicken strips for dinner (they were good). They arrived twenty minutes later in a plastic container to go. I asked if they would please, put the meal on a plate. They did (but no silverware). Did anybody say anything? Or apologize for assuming I was just waiting for my food to go? No. While I was eating I was asked if I wanted another glass of wine, I said yes. The glass of wine arrived ten minutes after I finished eating. They are either really understaffed or training is poor. My guess, is they are understaffed. read more

I didn't have good experience with this hotel. I came in with used shampoo bottle on the counter and lipstick stain on the comforter. The towels are also so used! It's all hard and darken. This review is to express my sincere appreciation for Frank at the Bell Desk. I had a very nearly stressful first night after arriving in Phoenix for a conference in late May, and had it not been for Frank, my first impressions of the city might not have been the best. After a really long day of conferencing and generally not eating and hydrating enough, I decided to order something from Ubereats for dinner. I put in my order and headed down to the Bell Desk where Frank promptly greeted me. I mentioned that I was waiting for my dinner delivery to arrive, and he explained the usual procedures for these types of deliveries. He and I then struck up several fascinating conversations to pass the time when we realized that my order should have already arrived. Upon checking my app, I discovered that my order was canceled and that no reason was given. At this point, I was super hungry, tired, and just wanted to be done with the day. However, because of Frank's attentiveness and overall calming demeanor, I managed to stay sane long enough to obtain the correct contact info for the local restaurant. I was very fortunate that restaurant management fully understood and prepared me another order free of charge. In the meantime, Frank encouraged me to go back to my room and relax, and that he or his team would contact me as soon as the new order arrived. And of course, his team did. TL;DR - Sheraton Grand Phoenix is very lucky to have Frank at the Bell Desk, and ought to consider giving him a raise for his excellent customer service. read more

I stayed in this hotel for a week in Nov. 2011 for a conference, also held at the hotel. The hotel is easy and inexpensive to get to from the airport on Phoenix's lackluster public light rail. I was in a double queen, and the view was beautiful so ask for a high floor. This hotel has every amenity you could ever want. The front desk and concierge are great, and the conference rooms are huge and beautiful. The conference rooms were huge and always clean. The outdoor pool and fitness center were fantastic so take your workout clothes!! The only downside was that the hotel was freezing so walking outside was a shocker to the body. There is some food and attractions within walking distance, but Phoenix pretty dead. The ASU complex across the street provided most of my entertainment for the week. read more

A very nice hotel that we stayed at over the weekend for a trip out here. It is 5 blocks from Chase Field and the US Airways Center, so it's a good spot to stay at to walk to these sporting events. There is a small mini mall (Phoenix Center) with restaurants and stores right across the street. ASU buildings are all around as well from here. PRO's *Comfortable Beds: really comfortable, not insanely soft but not at all hard. It was a great nights sleep *Fitness Center: Updated equipment, steps, weights and new Life Fitness machines. They have complimentary towels, water and earphones. Nice touch. *Lounge: Lots of couches and seats where you can get free WiFi on the first floor. CON's *Parking: $17 self park, which wasn't too bad. *NO FREE WiFi: Why do they have to charge you $12.99 to have internet in your room, but not in the lounge area downstairs?! Hate this... Overall, a very nice hotel with some amenities that will add a couple of bucks to your stay. Would definitely consider it again if I make it out to Phoenix. read more

Quick review from a stay in February 2014 My stay was from a Sunday - Wednesday Room located on the 22nd floor Beautiful updated lobby Lady who checked me in could have been a bit happier or at least faked it Sheraton club open 24 hours which is great. It's nice and offers a great view Room is good. TV is a little too small. I did like having a fridge as it seems like this is rare these days. Hard starch on sheets. Tv turns on loud, talking about Sheraton cleaning practices... Loud.

Stayed here for work and extended my stay thru the weekend for the Rock and Roll race. Really enjoyed the overall vibe of the hotel, friendly service, and comfortable room. I made a request ahead of time to be on a top floor/away from the elevator and they accommodated that. Internet in the room was fast and reliable. Bed was super comfy and the room was spacious.Complete with Coffee Maker and daily refills of Coffee & Tea. I also took advantage of the small mini fridge to store my snacks/drinks before the Race as well as the Safe to store belongings. The gym here was spacious and superb. I used it and loved the open space and the nicely kept equipment. Situated in the heart of downtown, we walked to the AMC Movie theatre across the street, had drinks at the downstairs lounge, ate at the District Restaurant within the hotel, as well as dined at several other neighboring delicious restaurants in downtown Phoenix. Only downside (but at least it really gave me peace of mind) - Hotel parking is $19/night but the in- and out privileges were super convenient by using our room key. But overall, really a good value with greatest convenience. I will be back! read more
