They have a good selection of beers, and apparently the IPA tap rotates. My experience: My bf and I went today and had a few beers and the ahi tuna wrap - BOMB!! It's like sushi without the rice, perfect. Subbed veggies for fries and was pleased to see broccoli and zuchinni, gotta love the greens! Neither oily nor over cooked, perfect for a TIU girl! Best part was after I got my first beer, a magic hat, and the bartender goes, "Don't drink that!" I pause, surprised, and she pours me a fresh one. I'm surprised to see such mixed reviews of this place! This bar is located on the boardwalk in Shoreline Village, overlooking the water. They have outdoor and indoor seating, as well as a pool table. There is a great beer selection, and the bar tenders were all very accommodating, and let us taste test a few of the beers before we decided on what to drink. Every day they have different drink or food specials. We had $2 Mexican Beers since it was a Tuesday, and some fish tacos, which were inexpensive and delicious. Everyone at the bar was really friendly, and the service was great. It's nice to find a local watering hole in our new neighborhood! read more

Shenanigans was truly outstanding last Sunday afternoon. An Irish band, Sligo Rags was performing there, so the place was pretty well filled - all of the tables inside and most of the seats at the bar were already taken. There are two seating patios as well; the one out front was nearly empty due to the imminent threat of rain, whereas the patio overlooking the harbor was half-filled. Fortunately, we managed to score a table indoors as a couple was leaving... so, yay! There were only three servers working that day and the guests kept them busy. Rather than an assigned waitress for each station, they were working what appeared to be a tag-team system wherein you merely flagged down whoever was closest. Surprisingly, it seemed to work well and service was efficient, accurate, and very friendly. Despite all of the Irish fare listed on the menu, I was in the mood for a sandwich and decided upon Erin's Cheese Steak sandwich with seasoned fries...phenomenal! Either that was the best Cheese Steak sandwich I'd ever dated or else I was starving. Regardless, I enjoyed every single morsel. The meat was sooo tender and delicately seasoned. The French roll tasted bakery-fresh even though I'm certain it was not baked on-site. The steak fries were cooked to perfection and lightly salted - beyond that there also appeared to be some additional seasoning that I couldn't quite identify. The entertainment was fantastic. The interior layout of Shenanigans suggested terrible acoustics, but the band sounded crisp and the volume was perfect at our little table in the corner. The only drawback is the lack of restroom facilities. There are public restroom facilities just outside the pub and around the corner, but they closed at some point for unknown reasons, leaving patrons to queue up at the one single-stall restroom inside the restaurant. read more

I've written before about this former favorite when I learned they stopped serving my brand of beer (that I could overcome) and the steamed clams that we frequently ordered (harder to overcome). Still, we came back several times but the last will likely be the last! My gf ordered a side of fries with her order but had to send them back because they were cold and stale. I ordered fish and chips...they were good, but I like fish cocktail sauce with mine rather than catsup or tarter sauce. No problem...they brought me two small paper mini-cups. However, when I received my check I learned they charged me 50 cents each!! No, not a lot of money but I felt nickle and dimed! Never has it happened to me...ANYWHERE...where I was charged for that substitution!! read more

Great live rockabilly music, food was decent for pub food. A little expensive but I guess if you're drunk is fine. Unfortunately for me I don't drink, but was super thirsty. Just wanted water but was informed of their water policy. They make you pay for bottled watered and won't give out tap. I understand this is legal due to drought, but c'mon! With the prices you could at least give me a glass cuz my table was sitting down. If I had to pay for water at least put it in a cup and give me refills. No way I'm gonna pay Nestlé/ shenanigans for free lake water. *update 7/29/16* I have no idea how to reply to the comment shenanigans posted, so I guess I'll do it here. That may be your policy but your servers don't know it. I asked my server if I could do that, they said no. And that I would be charged for a new bottle of water, $1.50 each. I had the Cornbeef burger, it was really good and will certainly fill you up. It is a full liquor bar. For kids? Are any of them good for kids? Probably not, but I don't think a day time for lunch here would start them on the path to hell. Only time I have ever been here and I liked the burger. There was a couple sitting right in front having a dry humping session and no one said anything to them it was completely raunchy and sad. People behave like that and the staff is oblivious its disrespectful and a shame i wont be back. What was suppose to be a fun Labor Day couple weekend, we noticed a lot of kids around & couldn't enjoy our time out with friends because this place was surrounded with babies & kids everywhere in the bar!! Great band but we couldn't dance because the kids took over the dance floor , REALLY??? This place should not be a family friendly place especially where alcohol is being served. There are few times in life when something so simple as fish and chips, that would have been utterly delicious, can be ruined and eskewed by absolutely horrible service. I came to this pub, enticed by the warm vibe. I adore Irish pubs, and this one knows how to do the fish right. Their chips, awful. Their service... well, I wouldn't really call it service. I have never felt so alone in a crowd full of 75 people. They did not come to check on myself and my two friends once in the 35 minutes we dined. I presented this information to the waiter, and she simply smiled, replied with a nonchalant "ok" and carried on with her day. It was a very frustrating situation because I wanted to love this place. With fish like this, I could ignore the bad chips. But the bad service eclipsed what could have been a fantastic experience for my mouth. read more

Fun spot, came here cuz I was craving grilled cheese (which was mostly bread unfortunately) but service was literally gawd awful. I've never left a 2 star review in my life and it's because I've worked in the service industry for 12 years so I'm very understanding. I'm writing this as I'm sitting here waiting on my check...having not been checked on in at least 30 minutes and very much done with my meal. Drinks were a tad weak as well as overpriced. If the drinks had been made a little better for the theme of what this spot is (fun, Irish pub) I would have at least considered giving 3 stars. Really would like to leave right now actually but I have no idea where my waitress is, much less my check. Praying for better service next time because this has potential to be a great spot. I also asked for a straw and shorty clapped back (literally clapped her hands to make her point) with attitude telling me that the straws were 50 cents. I'm sure she met my question with defense because most people are probably rude about this policy, but I am totally fine with paying 50 cents as well as having a recyclable straw, and thus saving sea turtles, just answer politely. What I'm not ok with is semi crappy service, kinda ok food (Brussel sprouts are bomb...don't order the grilled cheese or if you do please ask for extra cheese), empty water that isn't refilled except once, being checked on twice in approximately 2 hours of being here, and waitresses having attitude or not checking on guests. I would have ordered more had service been more attentive. Love y'all Shenanigans...but I sincerely hope there is a level up happening soon cuz this was kinda bad. I didn't want to make this my first 2 star review so I hope mgmt reads this understanding I came here with good expectations and was unfortunately pretty disappointed. read more

This is my first bar ever and it was pretty decent service for being a holiday. Our server was busy obviously since it was self served seating so I'm assuming she had a lot of people. Although she wasn't really around, she was nice but could've made more eye contact. We ordered a modelo, corona, a mimosa, a cocktail, Irish nachos, and fried calamari and came out to $88. Not bad bc the food was good serving considering it was an appetizer. Music was very loud and seating was minimal but everything came out as soon as we ordered. The wait at most was 5 mins.
