My fiancé and I were looking for a place to drink and eat before a concert and were excited to see the menu for the Auld Dubliner. We came in on a Saturday night and the place was packed! The only place with seating was in the very front of the restaurant, outside. We sat outside looking at the menu, before deciding what we wanted. There wasn't a server or water walking around, so I had gone straight to the bar and talked to the bartender. He was very sweet and tried his best to hear me. Impeccable hearing, I'd say, because it was loud in there. I ordered an IPA with fish and chips. He gave me a number, which I was grateful for to ensure they'd find me outside. I sat outside with my fiancé, and we enjoyed our time people watching. Although they were extremely busy, our food came out within 10 - 15 minutes. The fish was very good; it was crispy and flaky. Their fries were okay, and just a tad bit soggy, probably due to the temperature of the fish. My IPA was cold and good. It's your typical pub and food, but great experience to those visiting. I'll probably be back again if I happen to be back for another concert.

Cool setup overall. The service is where it fell apart. We walked in and told the hostess there were two of us; she just said "sit anywhere" without showing us to a table or explaining how things worked. We sat in a booth for a while -- no menus, no server, nothing. My friend was very drunk and badly needed water, so eventually I went up to the bar myself to ask how it worked. Turns out you order everything at the bar -- but nobody tells you that up front. I had to go up three separate times: once to figure out the system and get waters, once to place our food order, and again later just to get a water refill. That last refill was the most frustrating part. The bartender who'd helped us earlier saw me standing at the end of the bar and just walked away. I waited and waited, didn't want to be that person yelling over other customers, and eventually another bartender helped me out. It really wasn't busy that night either, especially for a night with a whole festival happening nearby, so there wasn't a good excuse for it. On the plus side: my hamburger was genuinely really good, and the whole meal for two came out to about $30 -- the cheapest we ate the entire trip. My friend got a tomato pesto cheese sandwich, though he was too far gone to give me a real opinion on it. Food gets a thumbs up, but the lack of any real table service and being ignored at the bar soured the whole experience. Probably won't be back unless I hear the service has improved.

We ordered drinks and my vodka soda was good. Their vodka cranberry was light on the color but with a little more, it was manageable. I love that they have darts, but their boards are used and abused. Gotta get some new ones. Otherwise, it's a great place and I love their case walk in whiskey room. Now I've seen it all. He double checked a 2nd time letting them know it was important and they again confirmed no dairy. When he got the rice he took one bite and he thought it tasted like it may have butter he asked again saying "this tastes like it has butter." The employee assured him saying there was no butter. My son was very hungry and so he decided to trust them and ate most of the rice cup. He started feeling sick within minutes and went up a fourth time to ask them. At that point, the employee asked the cook who informed them that butter was used. My son had been dealing with health issues the last two days due to his severe allergy. He is having difficulty breathing, in addition to all the other symptoms that come from dairy allergy. It's very sad to see him in pain knowing the restaurant did not take his allergy seriously and misinformed him. To the owners and staff members please take food allergies seriously. I inner stand people make mistakes. I hope that my son's pain will cause the restaurant to change its policy to take food allergies seriously and that the next person won't suffer. This place takes heat from a lot of people for stupid reasons! The staff is wonderful and works so hard! The food is delicious way better than regular bar food, the majority is hand made not frozen so this may take a little longer at busy times. Everyone has a bad day from time to time. They did have a lazy kitchen manger who wouldn't do his job in training so he's been let go! If more customers were nice and not jerks it might make every place a little better to go to, all of the servers I know with from various places complain about rude customers all the time! Shame there isn't a review site for poor customers, so they could compare with whats on yelp to read through the bullshit! Auto gratuity gets charged to big parties, same as most places even for regulars; data entry mistakes can happen, the bathroom is the building not the people running the place (although they did upgrade the bathroom from 1 toilet; 2 is the best for the space they had and needing to have handicap for both sexes) and sitting at a dirty table- this is a seat yourself place, people sit at the first available table so it is possible you sat before anyone could clean it, they are on top of the cleaning around here, their bus boys are always hustling! The owners have been seen cleaning tables during busy times when the staff is slammed, these complaints should be removed they're stupid! This place has Great service, live bands, good food and it is more a bar than a restaurant. The bar managers work their tails off! The GM had a baby and was back to work within a month. This is why yelp sucks just people always complaining, people that love a place don't always write a review they just come back! Which is the case here since their seats are always full! My advise try it for yourself!! I think of this place like my home away from home. They treat everyone equal I have been kicked out for being rowdy, but that's their job. I'm not going to give a bad review because I'm embarrassed. People shouldn't be allowed to review if they've been kicked out of a place! We were recently looking for a great breakfast spot on Long Beach, we found Shenanigans Irish Pub & Grille on yelp and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. I decided to try the veggie grille omelet with potatoes, and let me tell you, it was a culinary delight. The omelet was packed with fresh and flavorful vegetables, cooked to perfection. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making for the perfect accompaniment to the omelet. It was the ideal post-workout meal - delicious and light. Although there was a slight hiccup with my order initially, the staff at Shenanigans quickly rectified the situation and went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied. Their dedication to customer service truly impressed me and showed their commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the location. Situated close to the water. I enjoyed my meal while taking in the beautiful surroundings, creating a great experience. Very racist bar/bar tenders!!! if they could hang a whites only sign, they totally would ! It's 2022. Stop the racist evilness! We all just survived a world wide Pandemic! We have no room for racism!!! Bury the hatchet already!!! We were invited to See our friend's Band play!!! We arrived, nobody to greet/serve us. Then I went to bar ordered drinks from hateful unfriendly bar maids!!! They gave us no menus!!! It's obvious they didn't want us there!!! But we stayed to support our favorite band from 12 to 4 Easter Sunday!!! Then band played 1 Mexican song Volver by Vicente Fernandez RIP. The whole place was so happy dancing and singing the lyrics!!! Then owner informed the band "This is a Irish bar do not play any Mexican music, it's not Cinco de mayo!!!" That's really wierd cause all their workers are Mexican, (except hateful barmaids) the decorations are Mexican! the tables all have Mexican hot sauces! they sell Mexican burritos and quesadillas!!! Their bar is built on stolen native land!!! WTF!!! My entires friend/ fan group will never step foot in that place!!! We were about to spend more money after they played that song! Even if they would've played the Irish River dance we would've been so happy and bought everybody a shot and spent even more money! So If I were you I would avoid getting mistreated for your race!!! I had a great experience at Shenanigans Irish Pub & Grille in Long Beach. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively. I went for brunch with a friend and we were seated immediately. Our server, Teresa, was very friendly and helpful. She recommended the Irish Benedict and the Breakfast Burger, and we both agreed that they were excellent choices. The Irish Benedict was made with a delicious Guinness-infused hollandaise sauce and the Breakfast Burger was cooked to perfection. We also ordered a pitcher of Bloody Marys, which were very strong and flavorful. The portions at Shenanigans are very generous. We both had plenty of food to eat, and we even took some home with us. The prices are also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Shenanigans Irish Pub & Grille to anyone looking for a great place to eat and drink. I was very upset that I observed my drink being made for my child a "Shirley Temple" with a few extra cherries were picked up and touched out of the container by the bar tender's wet dirty dripping fingers after he had been touching money, credit/debit cards, credit card machine and everything else that came across the bar. NOT once do they wash their hands, I get it it's busy, but that's no excuse to cut corners. I ask him to please make me another one because I saw his fingers all over the cherries putting them into my childs drink and he actually asked me how he was suppose to get the cherries, LOL. I said ummmm "TONGS" this is a BAR and GRILL and I am sure they have tongs. He refused to get tongs stating they didn't have any, LOL! And made my drink with out the cherries. He was angry too, wonder why...... my fingers weren't touching his cherries he was about to feed his kids !!!! YUCK! read more

if i could give this place a "zero" rating. i would! we came in, sat down, and took forever for a waiter/waitress to come to us. i had to go up and ask. once someone came up to us, "andrea" our waitress was e.x.t.r.e.m.e.l.y !! rude to us when we would simply ask questions about the menu. we got told "c'mon guys its on the menu im busy with other tables" when simply asking if the fries are frozen or freshly cut. once we got our food, it was cold! on top of that they held our credit card from the start of the process and automatically placed a 20% gratuity on our bill! what?!?! andrea, you do not deserve a position in the service industry! thankfully though, "leiha" was very professional, kind, warm welcoming, and attentive when servicing us throughout the process. thank you "leiha" for extinguishing the bad experience and making us feel a bit better. read more

I was strolling through shorline village over the weekend and heard some good ole rock-roll, which you don't hear often aorund there. As I approached I was suprised to find a new irish pub. The place recently opened a few days earlier the staff had mentioned, which amazed me since most of the clientele I saw was locals that seemed to have migrated here. Which is great. The place had a great atmosphere and some traditional pub food with a few irish favorites mixed in. My favorite was the Guiness Stew, a play on irish stew but with Guisness. Also some of the specaility dessert drinks were delicious. I highly recommend to an unwind after a workday and also to enjoy a good night on the harbor. I found out they were open for breakfast on the weekends, unheard off in the village, definately a second visit required. read more

Worst service ever! Took one hour to get 3 orders of one grilled cheese and a tomato soup, mind you we got there when the place was empty, as time passed we noticed other people that got here after us started to get their food so when i complained the server told me she forgot to put send to the order and deleted it instead. After a few minutes they brought us only one order of the sandwich and soup!!! Then came to apologize saying she thought we 3 were gonna share the tiny soup and one sandwich. Really???? Comun sense, NONE!!! Didn't even come once to check on our table, maybe if she did she would of noticed what was going on but nope! Don't waste your time and go to better places that are next door. You ask for me to be polite but yet you forgot to be polite when my friends and I were there!! What happened to "This is how we do it in Long Beach". Customer service was the last thing on your mind that night ! You failed as a manager to even ask us What had happened and took the waitresses word and acted out! And since when is it OK to be a manager and be drinking with your customers! I love this place! The staff is friendly and the service was good. They didn't hang around the table but stopped by frequently which is how I like it. A simple solution...stop disempowerment and the downgrade of ladies! You have two bathrooms...use them separatly - one for the ladies and one for the men. No one will return to your bar, if they have to smell and watch a man urinate in a crowded bathroom. Class and respect should not be political preference, it should be a right. It was a hot one, but they had the AC running inside and that made drinking the green beer so enjoyable. The bartenders Evan and Britney were very nice and looked after me and everyone else I came up to the bar for beers, always asking if they wanted their beer green. Their food selection on that day was tremendously great. I had the corned beef on wheat bread and it was toast, toasted wheat bread to boot. With a cheese, and everything else that came with it, I was happily pleased with it all. Especially the carrot that tasted like pickled because it was laying on one. I will never forget that taste that I enjoyed so much on that day. The prices for beer are actually impressively cheap. I really have no complaints on this place and I think that what they do to get people's names on the wall for drinking 70 different beers from all around the world is really cool. I might have to try it one day. Thanks to all the people at Murphy's for putting on a great St. Patrick's Day for this fan. Oh, and by the way, they make such good popcorn. I used to have it at a different bar as a kid and then brought me back to those days.

My friends and I ordered Guinnesses to try splitting the G, which we all failed at LOL. the hostess was super chill because she counted down for us to split the G and she ended up giving us all complimentary fireball shots which was a nice surprise! Loved the atmosphere here overall, even the R&B music they played was such a vibe and bathrooms were clean.

The service from the staff was excellent, I forgot his name, but the cook was very friendly and hospitable. For appetizers, we decided on pretzels and chicken nachos. We originally thought the pretzel would be one of those big, soft pretzels with a side of cheese, but to our surprise, they came as traditional pretzels with a side of yellow sauce. The sauce tasted similar to Chick-fil-A sauce and paired well with them. The chicken nachos were really yummy as well! The inside of the bar isn't dog-friendly; however, they do have a small outdoor patio where fur babies are welcome. I will say, I wish the patio was a bit more spacious, as it felt like I was practically sitting with the people around me due to how tight the space was. The inside of the bar is also a bit cramped. Overall, I had a nice time at 49ers Tavern. I'd definitely come back for food and drinks again!

I came in dressed with my Long Beach shirt, and they served me two grilled fish tacos with tortilla chips and salsa, along with water. The price was great, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent! I was impressed that they grilled the fish instead of frying it. I love how they provide hooks on the walls next to the chairs, for ladies to hang their purses with! I am not an alcohol drinker, but I recommend coming here for their Tacos!

There's a reason why they've been around for so long. They're one of the few bars remaining in Long Beach that opens at 6am, and it's surprising how many people you will see in there at that hour. Taco Tuesdays are where it's at, with deals all day and additional Happy Hour deals kicking in at 5pm. Old school drink prices and awesome food by Cocoreno's next door. I especially love the fish, shrimp, and tofu tacos. Killer breakfast burritos, too. Long live the Reno Room!

The beef gravy was good, but I didn't ever get a taste of green chili and that bummed me out. I would not order these again. I ordered the wedge salad and add it on salmon. The wedge salad was pretty basic. There was very little bacon on it and way too much blue cheese. In fact, I ended up leaving a huge amount of blue cheese on my plate. The salmon was quite small and super salty. Overall I was not happy at all with the food here, although I will say I've had good food here before. Also, my husband and son thought their food was pretty good. I would come back, but order something different. And absolutely come back for their pop-ups which are amazing!

Well... sometimes it's unavoidable and I can happily say that the Enclave at the Long Beach Hilton is a solid and consistent pick. I ordered the enclave burger which was listed as being a 50/50 mix of beef short rib and brisket - which sounded amazing. Overall, a solid (and very filling) burger that was also impressive to look at. IMHO, this would have been better if the meat had been seasoned and the "Killer Sauce" had been more killer. Overall, these issues made the burger somewhat bland and in need of a little ketchup to make the flavors pop. It was good, though - just not realizing its full burger potential. The fries were great. Crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside with a perfect amount of sea salt. No ketchup required for those. We ate at the lobby bar and service was initially fast and responsive but shortly after we arrived, the only server working became very overwhelmed by a flood of hungry people. Definitely not her fault. If I have to eat at my hotel, the Enclave is at least a solid pick that I know I will not regret.
