This is an awesome spot to hangout, get some good grub, and a cold beer (or three). My friends and I came here on Tuesday and it just so happened to be taco Tuesday. Of all the places at an Irish themed bar??? The tacos here are some of the best tacos I've ever had. You could choose from corned beef, carne asada, carnitas, fish, and I think there was chicken but I'm not sure. The corned beef and carnitas tacos were out of this world, especially with the house made salsa. Some tacos with a few beers blend perfectly with the view of the marina. This is a pretty chill bar overlooking the long beach waters. The food and drinks are a little on a pricier side. The burgers were pretty solid. The server was very friendly which made up for a very slow service. They have a couple of pool tables inside too, probably get charged a small fee though. I got the diablo burger with sauteed mushrooms and it was satisfying. Total bill: 2 burgers + 2 beers for $30. They obviously have a bunch of Irish beer on tap. read more

The staff seemed like they still want to be inside their homes quarantining. Went for St. Patrick's day to show some support to an Irish pub. There was a wait to go inside. Understandable. Finally got seated and waited for our server. He had an Irish accent so we were off to a good start. Ordered drinks and some wings. Drinks were average. Wings were decent. Then I ordered the Irish Cheddar Grilled Cheese & Tomato Basil Soup. I received my soup first with no grilled cheese. We told the runner we were missing the grilled cheese. Waited and nothing. My boyfriend got up to go ask about it again. Finally came out and it looked like it should've been on the kids menu. The grilled cheese states it's made on brioche bread. This was the saddest "brioche bread" I've ever seen. We asked the runner if he thought that was brioche bread. He looked at it confused and shook his head no. He said he would go ask and check. Didn't come back. We waved down another runner/busser and asked him the same thing. He told us he would double check because the menu hasn't been updated. Nothing. Finally the server comes and asks if everything is ok. We asked him if he thought this was our correct order and says that he's only been working there for a week and doesn't really know the menu. He tells us he's going to go find out. By this time my soup was obviously cold, our drinks were empty and our patience was thin. Hangry really is a thing. To our surprise, he does come back with an answer saying- supposedly the grilled cheese is supposed to come on a brioche bread because that's what it says on the menu but we use that bread for our burgers. Ok, well if it states that on the menu and you guys have it available, then why did it come out on plain basic bread? He says this and does nothing to solve the problem. Asks us if we need anything else. Helloooo! Yesss! I do need something else! I need my entree that I originally ordered that's described on the menu! We asked him if we could get the grilled cheese on the brioche bread and the check. He grunted and walked away. We get the check and it all made sense. For just us two, we were charged an 18% gratuity and the entree wasn't waived off for the inconvenience. Restaurants that automatically charge 18% gratuity on the bill do not care about customer service. Employees there made no effort and for what? They're going to get tips anyway for lousy service. We had the worst experience ever and were forced to pay for it. Unprofessional, unethical and unjustly establishment. The absolute worst service we have ever received and almost succeeded in ruining our entire night due to that fact. My friend and I are both servers/bartenders so I would think we're a little bit more considerate and understanding than the average entitled COVID bar goer. We are both regulars at shenanigans, both after work and on our leisure time but this is the absolute last time. My friend had the amount of time to use the restroom and I receive my water from the hostess and drink the whole damn thing before we were even acknowledged by anyone. Then we were greeted by someone who wasn't our server, awesome whatever, maybe they're busy. We order two drinks, then she lets us know we BOTH have to order food. (Even though later on we noticed other tables did not have a dish each and we were never required to do so on our previous covid trips, we'd usually share an app- REALLY pissed my friend off.) We each ordered side house salads, which were stated to be $6 each but we were charged $10.50 each. In total we were charged over $50 dollars for shitty ass service, two HOUSE salads, a beer and a mojito, plus an included 18% tip. We usually tip plenty more than that but something about being forced to tip that when being provided shit hole service really irked me. We ended up going to Parker's lighthouse where we got 2 beers, a cocktail, shrimp and lobster taquitos, AND a seared salmon ponzo roll for about $70. All that for only $20 more, you're joking. I completely understand business need to make money to stay open but there's a difference between requiring food in accordance with California guidelines and just straight scamming your guests. read more

I think previous reviews explain it all. This place has a 3.2 star rating on Yelp, yet the manager's response to a review is to argue with the customer and flat out admit to false advertising. I hope the owner reads this: you may want to think about getting a manager who is not going to risk your business because they do not know consumer laws. False advertising is illegal and fineable. If your menu advertises that an entree comes with two pieces of fish and no staff has let the customer know of any change, the customer has get two pieces of fish or you are breaking the law. Your manager said the menus have not been updated yet so that means the customer paid the same price for one piece of fish as prior customers who got two pieces of fish. The customer got ripped off and treated disrespectfully (you are harassing a woman in a wheelchair, really??). I will no longer patronize this establishment on my visits to California. This place is by far the worst experience I've had. Went in to check it out and once seated the bartender didnt have any interest in serving us. We asked for a menu after he checked our IDs and insulted us by handing us food menus, not necessarily taking us serious. I'm on a mission to try out more local places in Long Beach since I moved here nearly 3 years ago. The place is in a nice spot as part of the Shoreline Village complex. I don't think any other bar could have a better view of the water. You can hang outside or inside. There is a bar inside to where I went to enjoy whatever game they had on (MLB All Star game). At first it was a little hard to get an order through. They seemed understaffed to handle the pretty large crowd they had (For a Tuesday night). I eventually was able to get an order through. I kept it simple with rum and coke and also a cheese steak sandwich. It didn't take long to get the order once placed. I ordered a soft drink afterwards and was able to get refills from different bartenders. The sandwich itself was OK. Nothing bad nor special about it. The garlic fries were good. I have always passed by this restaurant but always wanted to give it a try. They have a band that plays in the patio area. So that caught my attention. Well I finally got the chance to sit and have lunch there. I am very disappointed in the service. If you are not sitting in the bar area then you are out of luck on getting any assistance. Seems like they are only focused on the drinking party. I had to go up to the bar and to see my waiter making/serving the people I took Bay Area. I not only had to go up myself to request something three times** including check... I waited there for almost 4 minutes to get someone's attention. We had order an appetizer to have before our pain meal came but we ended up getting our main dish and 5 minutes later the appetizer arrived. Horrible, they should of said, "our kitchen is backed up (whatever reason) your appetizer might arrive with main meal. Do you'd till want it?" Let me tell you appetizer is about 15$. My partner and I look very young... with that being said, we get carded almost all of the time. We walked by this place but stopped and decided to go in for drinks. But we heard a voice say, "I.D.'s please." There was a guy all in disguise to the left - hat on, sitting low, in the dark, and next to other random people. Whatever. He checked them and as we walked in through the patio a couple said, "he didn't check our I.D." We sat at the bar that had plenty of room, not many people were sitting at the bar. There were two bar tenders who walked back and forth, cleaned some things up, talked to some customers... but neither one approached us to ask if we'd like anything. In a crowded bar, I would expect to have to push my way to the counter, hold out my hand, fight for a turn to order... but this was not the case. So my partner ends up saying as polite as she could to the guy that stood in front of us cleaning glasses, "what does it take to get a drink around here?" I guess he didn't want to serve us so he turned to someone else behind the counter to take our order. It was a different lady that had just came from the floor area. She was very polite and helpful and while she got our drinks the other lady that blatantly ignored us the whole time decided to come over and ask if we wanted anything. Well. Smh We got our drinks, closed the tab, and found an empty table nearby where we received a lot of attention from the same lady who ignored us earlier and a few other staff members. With consideration for the current situation of COVID-19, I still believe this place can do much better. Firstly, they need to train their hosts to remind patrons, that are waiting to be seated, to keep a social distance in line. Furthermore, the hosts need to have a more presentable attire. Secondly, the afternoon to evening shift should prepare the patio, for dinner, by having the propane patio heaters lit before patrons are seated. Thirdly the waiter wasn't very attentive and seemed agitated when asked for condiments or anything that was extra. Perhaps a floating host to follow up with patrons. I was in last Sunday with some friends and again today. The bartender/waitress/(what can't she do) Christina is amazing! She is so sweet and fun to talk to but maaaan does she work her behind off! She is on it! She was servings us drinks and food and it seemed everyone else in the bar too...but she wasnt stressed and did it all with a smile and fun personality! Their one mistake was that they gave us one of our courses cold right out of the refrigerator. It was supposed to be hot. They apologized, gave us a hot one and did so on the house.
