Service was pretty lousy. After seating myself because the waitress couldn't be bothered, it took quite awhile to get served. She got my drink order wrong and the eggs Benedict we're terrible. Literally on the top 3 worst I've ever had. The table next to me had to get up and look for someone to help them. The only reason I give a two is because the cocktail menu is good. There's also no cell phone service in this place. After seeing two shenanigans wifi spots, I asked for the password and they said no, for employees only. If you don't have a host, then don't post a sign at the door "wait to be seated". The owners response to my review was defensive and disrespectful. Rode our motorcycles here 2 weekends back to back. Just wanted to get outta San Diego, have outdoor dining, & a decent meal. I was hoping indoor dining was an option as well (since the second weekend I'd be on a group of 15 ladies)... but, there was adequate space for our group. Since writing this review, seems like Long Beach is still at a different tier regarding indoor dining. But hey! You are supporting an independent local business! Breakfast portions are huge. Wendy was an absolute angel. I got hit on by an old man (50+ when I'm less than 25) and my boyfriend came to me defense. He got accused of fighting but she heard us both out and allowed us to continue being patrons, For a dive bar, no complaints. Communal bathroom but full walls so no weirdos. I can't say anything bad, the staff were so accommodating, but our visit on a crazy packed weekend was made even better by having lunch here. We enjoyed the meals. But the entertainment was great. The lead singer came out and interacted with everyone, was funny & not over loud so we could hear each other. He gave me a card. The Funhouse Porcupines Band, he also told jokes. I ordered the fish & chips to go because I had been craving it and because I was picking up a to-go order from Louisiana Charlie's for my hubby. I have to say that the flavor of the fish was very good. I have been disappointed many times by flavorless fish when I have ordered this dish. The only draw back is that it was on the greasy side. I'm assuming it was an oil temperature issue because I let the fish sit on paper towels for at least 7 or 8 minutes when I got home trying to get rid of some of the visible oil on the batter but it was greasy throughout. It was disappointing because the seasoning was spot on. I will give it another try and hopefully its better. read more

Let's just say they live up to their name. Terrible service. Gave them a chance to fix it and they blew it. We waited in line for about 10-15 minutes. There was no host/hostess at the welcome station throughout that time. A couple waitresses and a bus boy passed by. There was zero acknowledgment of the restless people in line. No "hey guys, sorry we are short staffed today but we'll be with you shortly" or a simple "thank you for your patience, we'll get you seated as soon as possible." NOTHING. We couldn't even inquire about the wait time. Finally, we made it to the front of the line. The bus boy told us that it will be another 10-15 minutes because the waitress is going to be busy and won't be able to serve us. We agreed to this and asked if we could sit down at least since we were tired of standing and there was no system to hold our place. We promised that we wouldn't try to order and she can just come see us when she was ready. There were several open tables btw. The bus boy was at least nice enough to run and ask the waitress but when he came back -- it was a NO. We left and went to another restaurant. I understand that sometimes restaurants are short staffed. In those situations, it becomes paramount that your employees are trained to resolve people's frustrations. This past Saturday was so fun on the Long Beach pier, while walking we came across Shenanigans their line was pretty fast compared to Yard house or this BBQ spot. I enjoyed their food, I tried the Buffalo wings and fries and my friend had fried zucchini with sliders. The Buffalo wings were a lil dry but not bad, the zucchini was pretty good. As for the drinks, we ordered the Tequila mixed drink and cucumber vodka drink and they were pretty tasty. If I go back I think I would go with something else to eat and the cucumber vodka drink only because the tequila had different type of juice and not enough liquor so it was too sweet. All in all service was good by Karen our waitress and nice atmosphere, oh they play top 40 so that was nice!! read more

Ended up falling into this place because it was very busy at other surrounding bars and restaurants. I think there's a reason why this place wasn't very busy. They do have a happy hour, but it's not great pricing or discounts on the happier items. I will say that based off of the food it was decent. I did like the crispy brussels sprouts I felt like they were seasoned well and I would definitely add bacon. And then we got the zucchini and calamari mix. They have tables that sit outside of the restaurant due to Covid. We sat in the middle of the main walkway which I didn't like. this place is walking distance from my boat.Had to have the bangers n mash for $12.Really good price and very tasty.They didn't have HP sauce that is in every Brit/Irish pub.Its sacrilege to not put it on your bangers.I may just get my own as they didn't know what it was and didn't think they were getting it. We questioned the bartender because the amount of liquid in our drinks looked like half of what we get anywhere else. My husband's mixed drink didn't even look like one shot of liquid in it. First, my mistake is going on a Saturday afternoon. There was too many damn people. Surprisingly, I found a high top table with a great view of the band. Service was kind of slow and then shortly after I sat, I was told that the table was reserved. I got angry and left, despite being offered another table. Unfortunately, it would have been super close to the loud band. All it takes is a simple little sign & write "reserved." I would have never picked that table. Managed to drink two beers though before I was asked to leave the table. I guess on the bright side, it was good that I left because the beers are overpriced. At least $10. Super nice little pub on the long beach marina pier. Super busy but totally accommodated us. I appreciate that during a busy festival weekend. I know we ordered appetizers and everyone said it was really good. We each had 2 beers and a round of shots and it came out timely and was more than generous. Overall I recommend and would return. We always make it there for brunch the last couple of times i have been there i swear we are there by 11am. Parking is paid so we have never ever had a problem. The food is absolutely amazing i love it. The last couple of times i have been there we recived the same server and she is very attentive. Stopped by after visiting the aquarium - all other restaurants were 45-2hr wait! We had a party of 8. Glad we found this place, we were able to sit immediately. Drink orders taken fast. Friendly staff. Amazing food! Fries were perfect. Cold beer. Great music, and vibes. Kid friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back when we go to the Grand Prix. No wonder this spot didn't make March bar madness in Long Beach. The homies and I will definitely not be supporting this joint; who don't know how to interact with people. If anything the staff is boring and awkward. Food overpriced and tastes like cheap ingredients. Poor customer service. It's actually sad that I had to leave this review. Do better. Also, you guys need a better cast of bartenders than old lady/guy bartenders who look like they haven't brushed their teeth and don't look super hygienic. read more

Used to come here all the time with 2-6 people almost every weekend, but will never come back after how we were treated by Levi. Horrible service and attitude, you lost customers for life. This was highly disappointing.. not only extremely overpriced ($14 for fries and chicken strips, really?) anyways I could get over that knowing it's Long Beach, by the water and they're all expensive. It took forever for us to get someone to help us after we sat down, my husband actually had to get up and ask for someone to serve us. The food was highly disappointing too, my fries weren't cooked well enough. My sandwich (don't even remember what it was, some kind of BBQ meat) wasn't good. The meat was wayyy over cooked and super chewy, not only that, 50% of it was fat. And that's what I paid close to $19 for.. Not only that, the coke (for $4.50 FYI) tasted like sparkling water with a light hint of coke. Once we got our food nobody checked up on us anymore. We sat there waiting for a long time after we finished eating and just nobody came.. I had to go up to the bar to request to pay. Also they want to hold on to your card while you're having dinner? Odd. One more thing that made absolute zero sense to me. How are they asking for ID's from the adults in our party at 8 PM on a Wednesday. We went tonight for a Memorial Day weekend after being at the aquarium. The food was delicious and fresh. I order the diablo burger and fries. Both were fresh. There is an outdoor and indoor sitting but because I'm an outdoor type of person I was sitting outdoors. There was live music and it was a nice touch. So why 3 stars? The services was horrible.
