My husband and I ordered an Old Fashion and a Mimosa on 2/19/23 and got these served to us. We questioned the bartender because the amount of liquid in our drinks looked like half of what we get anywhere else. My husband's mixed drink didn't even look like one shot of liquid in it. My half full mimosa was mostly juice. Bartender told us that they weren't mistakes, shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I don't like drink Shenanigans. If looking for an Irish bar with good drinks, great food and awesome service, go the Auld Dubliner instead. They don't play drink shenanigans there. read more

this place is walking distance from my boat.Had to have the bangers n mash for $12.Really good price and very tasty.They didn't have HP sauce that is in every Brit/Irish pub.Its sacrilege to not put it on your bangers.I may just get my own as they didn't know what it was and didn't think they were getting it. This past Saturday was so fun on the Long Beach pier, while walking we came across Shenanigans their line was pretty fast compared to Yard house or this BBQ spot. I enjoyed their food, I tried the Buffalo wings and fries and my friend had fried zucchini with sliders. The Buffalo wings were a lil dry but not bad, the zucchini was pretty good. As for the drinks, we ordered the Tequila mixed drink and cucumber vodka drink and they were pretty tasty. If I go back I think I would go with something else to eat and the cucumber vodka drink only because the tequila had different type of juice and not enough liquor so it was too sweet. All in all service was good by Karen our waitress and nice atmosphere, oh they play top 40 so that was nice!! read more

The live band (The Hot Rods) is what drew us in for dinner. My wife had the Fish & Chips and I had the BBQ Briskett sandwich with a salad. The service was ok and food delivered promptly. The food tasted ok but nothing jaw dropping. The fries were just ok. Add a couple of beers and the bill was close to $90. But on this tourist section of town, everything is pricey. Ended up falling into this place because it was very busy at other surrounding bars and restaurants. I think there's a reason why this place wasn't very busy. They do have a happy hour, but it's not great pricing or discounts on the happier items. I will say that based off of the food it was decent. I did like the crispy brussels sprouts I felt like they were seasoned well and I would definitely add bacon. And then we got the zucchini and calamari mix. They have tables that sit outside of the restaurant due to Covid. We sat in the middle of the main walkway which I didn't like. First, my mistake is going on a Saturday afternoon. There was too many damn people. Surprisingly, I found a high top table with a great view of the band. Service was kind of slow and then shortly after I sat, I was told that the table was reserved. I got angry and left, despite being offered another table. Unfortunately, it would have been super close to the loud band. All it takes is a simple little sign & write "reserved." I would have never picked that table. Managed to drink two beers though before I was asked to leave the table. I guess on the bright side, it was good that I left because the beers are overpriced. At least $10. Stopped by after visiting the aquarium - all other restaurants were 45-2hr wait! We had a party of 8. Glad we found this place, we were able to sit immediately. Drink orders taken fast. Friendly staff. Amazing food! Fries were perfect. Cold beer. Great music, and vibes. Kid friendly. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back when we go to the Grand Prix. Super nice little pub on the long beach marina pier. Super busy but totally accommodated us. I appreciate that during a busy festival weekend. I know we ordered appetizers and everyone said it was really good. We each had 2 beers and a round of shots and it came out timely and was more than generous. Overall I recommend and would return. We always make it there for brunch the last couple of times i have been there i swear we are there by 11am. Parking is paid so we have never ever had a problem. The food is absolutely amazing i love it. The last couple of times i have been there we recived the same server and she is very attentive. I feel bad for the people who have nowhere else to go but want just one drink that they have no other option to stumble across this "pub" or whatever you want to call it. No wonder this spot didn't make March bar madness in Long Beach. The homies and I will definitely not be supporting this joint; who don't know how to interact with people. Used to come here all the time with 2-6 people almost every weekend, but will never come back after how we were treated by Levi. Horrible service and attitude, you lost customers for life. This was highly disappointing.. not only extremely overpriced ($14 for fries and chicken strips, really?) anyways I could get over that knowing it's Long Beach, by the water and they're all expensive. It took forever for us to get someone to help us after we sat down, my husband actually had to get up and ask for someone to serve us. The food was highly disappointing too, my fries weren't cooked well enough. My sandwich (don't even remember what it was, some kind of BBQ meat) wasn't good. The meat was wayyy over cooked and super chewy, not only that, 50% of it was fat. And that's what I paid close to $19 for.. Not only that, the coke (for $4.50 FYI) tasted like sparkling water with a light hint of coke. Once we got our food nobody checked up on us anymore. We sat there waiting for a long time after we finished eating and just nobody came.. I had to go up to the bar to request to pay. Also they want to hold on to your card while you're having dinner? Odd. One more thing that made absolute zero sense to me. How are they asking for ID's from the adults in our party at 8 PM on a Wednesday. We went tonight for a Memorial Day weekend after being at the aquarium. The food was delicious and fresh. I order the diablo burger and fries. Both were fresh. There is an outdoor and indoor sitting but because I'm an outdoor type of person I was sitting outdoors. There was live music and it was a nice touch. So why 3 stars? The services was horrible. Little pub with outside seating next to the water. Great place to go for a drink and hangout with friends or just to watch a game. There's pool tables, plenty of seats, and great food. Let me start with the positive first.  The atmosphere and music were great. We came a year or so ago, and had good memories of the place. But we came again tonight to relive the nostalgic moments, and boy were we disappointed. My family was treated so poorly and with such disdain. All this place cares about is your money. Human decency is out the door.    My family arrived at 6:00pm to meet my extended family at Shenanigans. To say the service was poor and would be disingenuous. There was no service. We sat there for an hour and a half and not one server acknowledged our existence, My husband went into the bar area and begged someone for service. I later found out a waitress told my cousin before we had even arrived that "white people don't know how to follow instructions." My husband is white! Next, we ordered from the food menu. I ordered the fish and chips, because the menu advertised two pieces of fish, and I thought that would be the perfect meal to share with my hubby. The waitress brought it out with an attitude and grudge, dropping it in front of me. One piece of cold soggy fish and equally sad and limp fries.  I sent my husband back to inquire what happened to the other half of our meal. Their response was, "Never mind what the menu says, we go by the QR code." The topper of the evening was when we ordered drinks. And just when we got them, the waitress told us we had to leave because it was 9:30 and our 17-year-old son was with us, enjoying the music. I told the waitress there is no sign posted and your website states otherwise, would it be okay to leave at 10, as per the California curfew? The website only states that no one under 21 is allowed to drink alcohol, and cannot be here without a parent. No problem. I understand rules and policy. But then another employee comes out like a raging bull telling us we had to leave. I asked if I could speak to the manager. Her response to this was summoning their 3-man security force to escort us out.  To say this was embarrassing is an understatement.  It would have been nice to be forewarned, ahead of time, so we could plan our drinks and food orders accordingly. It was 9:30pm and I was booted. My initial reason for visiting was to enjoy a bite to eat and the live band I was nowhere near drunk as accused.   What kind of threat is a lady in a wheelchair enjoying the night with family? I guess we won't be back. Customer service and care for establishment matters. It is unfortunate that the purchasing of liquor is the only thing that will keep your business alive for now. read more

I was sooooooo grateful to find this place. After visiting a few places in the area already, service in Long Beach wasn't all that great. Maybe I'm just from the Midwest and have different expectations, but either way this place lived up to them (for the most part). Our waitress was super nice, she gave us suggestions on what to do in town. She was very attentive, but also so was the rest of the staff walking around. Even though the food is bar food, if you're not trying to wait 1hr or more for a table at the other restaurants in the area this place is definitely a solid option. The only thing that brings down this rating from 5 to 4 is the bathroom. The bathroom is not gendered, but also not quite gender neutral either, but what got me was how gross it was. It smelled soooooo bad and my feet were sticking to the floor because there was so much piss on the floor. I've gone to the bathroom in some not so savory places in my life, but I walked into this bathroom and walked right back out. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup, and tator tots. As soon as grilled cheese was delivered to the table I could tell the cheese wasn't melted. They immediately brought it back to the kitchen to make another. When it came back the cheese was still not melted and though the soup had good flavor it was basically warm marinara sauce not soup, so they should probably change the tomato soup to marinara dip on the menu. I ate it, though the whole time thinking...if I made this sad grilled cheese with no butter on the toasted bread...I would probably serve it with a dipping sauce too.
