Not sure what happened with this place...my son has been treating at this office since he was 3 years old and is now 9 years old. Soo many different hygienist that are in and out of your child's treatment room almost like an assembly line. Each person does something different. And the worst part...the hygienist missed cleaning the entire top portion of his teeth...I guess she thought I was not looking. Anyhow, I transferred his care elsewhere!! read more

I've been taking my four kids here for a little while.. Today I went and I am not planning to return because I don't Agree with what is told to me is a "policy" My 8-year-old had to have a filling and 2 sealants today. So we came in, she's in the dental seat for 20 minutes before anything gets started. I have my four year old with me because I do not have the luxury To have a babysitter. My eight year old has at least had 3-4 procedures requiring feelings and numbing and shots at this location within the last 6-8 months. Anyway today, not any of the other days I was there, I'm told My four year old would need to sit on a bench outside of the procedure room. I explained I cannot leave a four year old unattended and she was making zero noise zero talking- sitting down in the seat in the room , waiting the entire time with no disruption. I am then told I can sit out with her but I explain I am not allowing my eight year old to have a procedure without me present. I am told this is policy despite theexact scenario has been the same with each visit. But told again it's policy..so I say I have to leave...how can it even be considered remotely okay that a child would be expected to do this without their guardian..or to ask that a 4 yearold sit unattended. So I guess if you have a babysitter. That's the only accepted client for them. read more

We chose to go to this office after a very bad experience at IKIDs. We were referred to them by a friend who also had a bad experience at IKIDS. Never once in these two appointments were we informed of any rules. We went previously for a teeth cleaning and was told her teeth were well taken care of, but the filling IKIDS did failed and needed a cap. That was it. We went today for our capping appointment at this office. Due to the traumatizing experience my daughter had at the other dentist we tried to make this appointment as smooth as possible and pre-prepared her for a cap. When we got there we, as a whole family, my husband, myself, the kid getting treatment and one other kid, were all invited to the back for her treatment. No one stopped us and no one said anything about all of us walking back with her. To start the day the lady who brought us back called my daughter an incorrect name, so another patient went in thinking it was her name. After correcting her on the name, she continued to call her out of her name two more times after. They tell us there were other issues not discussed in the previous appointment that needed to be treated too. After long conversation, (where the dentist felt the need to be incredibly close to me while talking, even though I would take steps back she would continue to step up to where I even asked her to back up.) about that and extra X-rays they tell us we ran out of time and can't see her anymore. I tell them my son is next to be seen, and ask to get her treated instead of him and they say yes. They start the gas for her and tell us we can't be in the room with her, regardless of past trauma and we need to leave the area, but can stand at the door and watch. We frozen a bit and we're shocked because we prepared her for us to be there, as every other dental visit we were allowed there, and wasn't informed prior to we couldn't be in there. We went to the door to watch, wasn't told anything about our son not standing there. Soon after another lady walked by and told us our son couldn't be there and needed to be in the secondary area. I replied with "they just told us we could all be here to watch" and the lady replied with oh and then walked off. Soon after she came back and told us Dr Clark, who we not once saw at either appointment, requested us to be dropped as patients. When I questioned why, I was told it was because we made the dentist too nervous backing the dentist into a corner by not following the provided rules. I told them I don't understand, as we haven't been negative, raised our voices etc. Yes we are upset at IKIDS for not catching these issues prior to, but that had nothing to do with them and their care. I asked to speak to Dr Clark because we weren't informed of any rules until that moment, where we complied. I was told Dr Clark was with a patient. I asked if I could get her information to speak at a later time and was told she will not be speaking with me because she is too nervous and that's why the lady had to speak with me instead. read more

The actual doctors and staff are fantastic. I've never had a single issue with any of them. My problem is the wait times. Every time we've come (and on time) to our check ups it's a minimum hour wait in the waiting room and the last time over an hour and a half. I'm frustrated by this as a mom with tiny children. Be careful with this office and the dental work that they recommend for your child. They are shady when it comes to recommending unnecessary dental work and are only concerned with making money instead of the child's best interest. My youngest son, who just turned 5 has been going here for about a year and was recently recommended to get 8 crowns, which they required to be done with IV Sedation (putting my child to sleep) because of his age. In the short period of considering actually getting this work done, I felt like this office was pressuring me to go ahead and put the deposit down in order to schedule the appt for the work before I even knew what my out of pocket expenses would be. After going back and forth trying to get what the cost would actually be, it was concluded that the total cost for this work would be $2200 with insurance. They use an out of network anesthesiologist who is required to be used with this office for the sedation, which was not covered under my insurance. Needless to say, I did not have a good feeling about this!! Especially with no other options offered other than putting my child to sleep. I was told by Brittany, one of the office managers that this work and cost was the norm, and I felt like she brushed off my inquiries and concerns. She even had the nerve to catch an attitude when I addressed my concerns. Yet I was constantly asked about putting a $500 deposit down to make the appt to go ahead get the work done. Brittany's attitude towards my inquries and concerns did not sit well with me and quite frankly seemed fishy! I decided to go ahead and get a second opinion with another pediatric dentist and I am so glad I did!! An appt was set with the new dentist office and on my son's visit the new dentist did a thorough exam, including taking new x-rays. He explained everything to me in great detail with what he saw versus what Dr. Clark's recent office records showed, which was only a couple months prior. The amount of work that the new Dentist recommended didn't even come close to all the work that Dr. Clark's office was recommending, including the sedation not even being needed!! The new dentist highly disagreed with IV sedation being done on my child and he also suggested that no crowns were needed as well. In fact, he pointed out that there were not even cavities in some places that Dr. Clark's office was suggesting there were cavities. All the new dentist recommended were a couple fillings for the cavities that did exist and my son was able to get all of appropriate work that he needed done in a couple visits. He did great for it all!! WITHOUT THE SEDATION AND EXCESSIVE COSTS that Dr. Clarks's office said was needed. I went from almost paying $2200 to only needing to pay $300 for what was actually needed. I would steer clear of Dr Clark's office all together, but if anything please be aware of the work that this office recommends your child may need. If it doesn't seem right, GET A SECOND OPNION, or better yet, don't even bother with this shady dentist office at all. My kids will not be going back to this office. read more

I have been using Shelly clark since 2015. They have been great this whole time. Until recently my son needed a tooth pulled due to infection. He has been through chemo so he has had to go through alot in his life. Of course when they pull a tooth they put the laughing gas mask on. My son was not happy cause he use to be held down to wear it for chemotherapy. They did not understand his PTSD. They just didn't want to waste their "time" on him cause they had other patients. It's a children's dentist office and I know for a fact not every kid walks in there perfectly fine. They weren't accommodating or understanding they just wanted my money and to move on to the next patient. They do not care about anyone or patients that have gave them business for years. Unless your giving them money. Don't waste your time here. Take your kids to ikids pediatric dentist in waxahachie tx they are way better and care more about their patients. read more

Please be super super careful using this office! They will not tell you that you are out of network until after they do work and you get a huge bill! They told me they took MetLife but left out that my MetLife plan would be out of network and now I'm stuck with a ridiculous bill! Not even the cleaning was covered! The doctors and staff are great except a girl named Tiffany. She is by far the rudest employee you have! She gets an attitude when asked a simple question. I already called a few times to get an appointment rescheduled because my son needs his front tooth extracted and she seems to not care that he is in pain. We were told a couple weeks ago that he would be put at the top of the list because of his infected tooth, but are getting scheduled a month later. I will be keeping my appointment, but will be looking around. Thanks to her I refuse to take my kids to that office anymore. read more
