I have been a loyal customer of iKids Mansfield for 15 years without a single issue until I was…read morereferred to the Arlington location for my son's oral surgery. His appointment took place on 6/20/25. Prior to the appointment, our insurance coverage was verified; however, neither the Allowed Amount nor the Patient Responsibility was confirmed. As a result, I was overcharged $633.60. Despite my repeated requests, the Arlington office has refused to issue the refund I am owed. Initially, I was told that a refund could not be processed until my insurance provider issued payment. That payment was made on 6/25/25, yet the refund has still not been processed. I have contacted both iKids Arlington and D4C Dental Brands on multiple occasions (7/10, 7/18, 8/11, and 8/13) without receiving an explanation or timeline for resolution. Dr. Randy, I understand you no longer own the practice, but you are the reason my family has stayed with iKids all these years. I have never experienced an issue with iKids Mansfield, so this review is not directed at them. However, I cannot recommend iKids Arlington. Patients should ensure the office verifies all aspects of insurance coverage, including allowable amounts and patient responsibility, before receiving care.

Absolutely horrible experience. My son went in for a simple cavity filling and came out saying the…read moredentist accidentally drilled into the inside of his cheek during the procedure. He was in pain afterward, and instead of showing concern or apologizing, the office manager, Bree, completely dismissed the situation. What made the situation even worse was her attitude. She was rude, condescending, and actually laughed while I was expressing concerns about my child being injured. At no point did she apologize or show any empathy whatsoever. Instead, she acted like I was overreacting for being upset that my child was hurt during a dental procedure. Accidents may happen, but how a business responds says everything. This office chose to be dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional instead of taking accountability and treating a concerned parent with basic decency. I will never return here and would strongly recommend other parents think twice before trusting this office with their children.

Our kids might have been a little uncertain during the first couple of visits when they were really little, but they quickly learned the routine of watching a movie, playing with toys, or playing on the gaming systems in the lobby followed by getting to wear cool sunglasses, getting a new neat toothbrush and prize once they were in the dental chair, that always put their minds at ease each and every time thereafter. My immediate family and I have been going to Modrall Dentistry (formally Forever Smiles) for over 2…read moredecades. When we first moved to Texas they were not only convenient, but they quickly proved themselves to be both incredibly professional and reliable. I know that many feel uncomfortable and even dread their bi-yearly dentist visits, but I have never experienced this with Modrall Dentistry. In fact, this practice is located in Mansfield, and I live in Houston (and have for over 10 years). Twice a year I make my way back to Mansfield to use their dental services, because frankly, I don't trust anyone else. Beyond the skills and professional nature you'll find at Modrall Dentistry, the staff is some of the most kind and welcoming I have ever experienced. When I visit their office, it feels like seeing old friends, which is an amazing touch. The location is convenient. There is plenty of parking. The waiting room is nice and welcoming. The interior well lit and immaculate. There is plenty of state of the art dental equipment, but nothing that looks frightening or outdated. For what could be an unpleasant experience (visiting the dentist office) they make it comfortable and pleasant. A few examples of how they've gone above and beyond for me: - Several months ago I needed some dental work, and I had to travel to Mansfield to get it done, but the morning of the assistant had a family emergency, and knowing that I cam all the way Dr. Modrall asked if I wanted her to perform the procedure solo (not typical). She walked me through what that would look like, reassured me, but left the decision completely in my hand. I had her do the procedure, and she was an absolute pro. - Recently, I mixed up my dates, and I missed an appointment. They had a game plan to try to squeeze me in, and this was during the holidays. They had me in and out in no time - As I mentioned, I have been going here for decades, and they have identified areas of concern (potential risks, caveties, dark spots, etc), but I have never technically had a cavity/filling. They have been telling me about any progression or updates on those areas, but they've never said "you need to get it filled." They aren't here just to take your money or to do unnecessary work. They know exactly what they're doing and they provide insight. This is one of the main reasons I trust them I can't rave enough about their professionalism and bedside manner. I will continue to go to this dentist office as long as I can, and I would recomment you do as well. Dr. Modrall is amazing, and Shawna R. is an incredible Dental Hygienist (if you can request). Cheers!
