Alexia was our dental hygienist and she was wonderful! She was personable, patient and easy to talk to as she guided my son through X-rays and a cleaning. When we saw Evetts she was quick and efficient with her time, but remained nice. Once the appointment was over, we checked out and scheduled easily. They had a toy dispenser that was being filled when we checked out,, and they ended up giving my son two toys for patiently waiting. He was raving about them for the next week. Instead, she acted like I was overreacting for being upset that my child was hurt during a dental procedure. Accidents may happen, but how a business responds says everything. This office chose to be dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional instead of taking accountability and treating a concerned parent with basic decency. There's a small play area in the waiting room, along with a TV set to children's shows. Patients will go to the back without their parents starting at 3yo, which works out a lot better than I thought it would. There is definitely a difference between a pediatric dental staff and the staff at my adult dentist, where kids are more of an afterthought. You can expect hygienists and dentists to be equal parts bubbly and soothing, as needed for your child. I usually forego the x-rays for my kiddo so her appointments run less than 30 minutes. She's come out with a big, clean smile and a bag of goodies (dental supplies and a small gift) three out of the three times she's visited the Drs. Hyde, Miller, and Associates.
