I've been going to Great Oak Dental for about 2 years now, and it has been an amazing experience. I am very pleased with the services I've received. I needed quite a bit of dental work done, and I now have a very pleasing smile. My Grandma loves them, and feels blessed to have met such caring people. Thank you Great Oak Staff.

I believe Great Oaks Dental is Very High Priced & Not that Great at Decision making with U, where the patient's Best Interest is First & Foremost. I saw No Heart with this Dentist & her 2 Locations in Arlington. I found a very Narcissistic environment & very high prices.. I paid $5,000+ for One Front Tooth Implant & she never cleaned or checked my other teeth for the 9 months in between healing. Then, After I mention this to her she did check them and asked me if I wanted to know where my next problem was going to be? It was for the other front tooth that also was decayed. Oh Brother!! I paid less than $1400Cash at DDS Denture & Implant for the other front tooth & was as treated like a Queen.. I could have gone to Africa, shot an Elephant, brought back his Ivory Tusk & Had thousands of Faux Teeth made from it for the price some of these Dentists are charging for one tooth. It's gotten way out of hand.

I'd become one of those cranky skeptical people when it came to dentists because my last few, um,…read moredidn't go so well. But, Dr. Britton and his staff have restored my faith in humanity, or at least in dentistry. I found him through my insurance company provider list, while looking specifically for sole practitioners (NO CORPORATE CONGLOMERATES!) that were nearby who had been practicing for a reasonable amount of time and who have a degree from the 1st world. (I don't care where my docs are from, I only care where they went to school.) Because I have phone anxiety calling businesses I was happy to see they have a website with an appointment form. I filled it out. Amy at the front desk called me back pretty quickly and boy, is she nice and friendly! She was very accommodating and made an appointment for me the very next morning. She's just as nice in person, folks. Brynne was my hygienist and she too is a very nice lady, recently moved here from Washington State. She told me how when she first moved here she was temping and planned on continuing to temp because she only wanted to work three days a week, but she loved Dr. Britton and his staff so much she came on full time, and assured me I had made a wise choice. They seem to have very modern equipment and digital x-rays that they can take from your chair, which is nice. Dr. Britton himself is very pleasant and personable, he introduced himself as "the guy who works in the back", haha. He explained what was going on with my teeth very clearly and presented options and was obviously very sensitive to the fact that it was going to cost a lot of money to fix the massive mess that my mouth had become. I know his assessment was accurate as it matched what I was told by my last dentist, and he showed me exactly where the problem spots were on my x-rays. This morning I started getting it all fixed. He had feared I might need a root canal in one tooth, but decided after he dug out the decay that since we hadn't reached the nerve yet, we might be able to avoid it which would save me money and pain. So, he did a deep filling instead. We'll see how that goes. What really impressed me about the experience was that it was actually pretty pain-free. He explained what he was doing every step of the way and they pre-swabbed the gum with a topical before giving me the novocaine so I didn't feel the shot. I didn't feel pain during the procedure at all. I was warned I'd be sore afterwards and told to take advil, which I did, and which seems to be working. I still have several more teeth to get fixed, he recommended doing it in steps so that I wouldn't have to sit with my mouth open all day. I think that was a good call. All in all, I'm very happy with him and his staff. They work with CareCredit and Wells Fargo for financing if you don't have insurance or have insurance like mine that barely scrapes the surface of the bills. And, with how easy it was to get an appointment and completely hassle-free and more importantly pain-free, I'd say you can't go wrong coming here. (of course, I can't guarantee your visit will be pain free as your teeth may vary).

Very courteous and professional staff. Clean environment and great music. Always have fun…read moreconversations too.

Warning: Unethical and Deceptive Practices…read more I strongly urge anyone considering this dental office to think twice before making an appointment. This practice engages in high-pressure sales tactics and appears far more interested in profit than in patient care. I deeply regret not reading the reviews beforehand -- many others have had similar experiences, and I now understand why. Both my adult son and I were targeted with what I can only describe as scare tactics. Despite my son's clean bill of health from a reputable dentist just six months prior, he was told he had serious gum disease and urgently needed multiple expensive procedures -- including deep cleanings, laser treatments, and diagnostic tests -- none of which were previously deemed necessary. He left confused, alarmed, and out of pocket for one of the deep cleanings that they managed to convince him he needed. Wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt, I returned myself. The exact same playbook was used on me: dire warnings about the condition of my gums, an overwhelming list of treatments, and a price tag in the thousands even with insurance. I declined all upsells and requested a standard cleaning -- which was then performed carelessly and in haste. Several teeth were missed entirely during both the cleaning and polishing. It was clear that because I refused the costly add-ons, they no longer valued my time or care. I told the dentist that I was very disappointed and she said she would continue to work on me. I allowed her to work a few minutes longer but it was still evident I was not receiving even a moderately thorough cleaning. I have never in my life had a dental cleaning that was done so quickly and haphazardly. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional -- it's unethical. Patients deserve honest evaluations and transparent care, not manipulative sales strategies. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) and hope others do the same. Please protect your health and your wallet -- stay away from this practice.

The office staff then scheduled me for an appointment with the oral surgeon for 3 days later to wait for the swelling to come down. On the morning of my surgery appointment I was called to confirm the appointment and even offered an earlier time. I went into my appointment and checked in and was escorted to the exam chair where the dentist on duty informed that I really needed to see the oral surgeon. I said "yes that's why I'm here. I have an appointment with him" But as it would happen, he wasn't even in the country. So the front staff offered to reschedule my appointment and send for more antibiotics to the pharmacy. The antibiotics never did get sent to the pharmacy and I called the next day to ask about them, and to ask that the surgeon wouldn't in fact be there Monday, and I was assured they would talk to the office manager and that I would get a text when the script was sent over. That never happened. So I showed up for my rescheduled appointment at 9 am on Monday and was informed that the surgeon wouldn't be in office until 3 pm that day. I can't speak of the quality of the surgeon because I never even met the guy. I'm not sure why they would continue to schedule surgery appointments during times when the surgeon wouldn't be in office or even in the country.
