I was previously a patient of Dr. Fred Turner, and now I see his daughter, Dr. Kayla Scott. I can't say enough good things about this office. Dr. Scott saved another one of my teeth today, and with my dental history, that means a lot. She's always honest and straightforward about risks and options, and she works hard to save what can be saved. The assistant is wonderful too--an absolute pro with temporaries and permanents, and she has great bedside manner. I've spent a lot of my life in a dental chair and I've seen many dentists. I now drive an hour to come here because the care is that good. Great work, fair prices, and they're accommodating with insurance and multiple payment/credit options. Highly recommend. read more

I've been Dr Turner's patient since he had that dumpy office on Mitchel St near UTA and have no complaints or issues. Dr turner is a true (albeit old school) professional dentist. He doesn't have a warm "bed side manner" but I don't care - all I want are bi-annual cleanings, an appointment in an emergency, to pay a fair price for services rendered and (most importantly) no pain. Mission accomplished. The patient rooms are always clean and well maintained and the waiting room is pleasant with nice music although there was a weird aroma today but that's not normal. The only issue I have is that the teeth cleaning appointments are booked months in advance because Diamond Dental Care accepts a wide variety of insurance groups. Choosing a dentist, doctor, CPA, or financial planner is an emotional decision, you have to find the right person who fits your needs and expectations. Dr Turner fits mine, you may be looking for something else. Regarding today's visit, the younger dentist checked my teeth & xrays. He was friendly and professional, even shook my hand (new school). I was in and out quickly, and back to work. (quick and efficient) No complaints here and I have strong, healthy beautiful teeth! read more

My parents recommended Diamond Dental since I refused to go back to my last "used car salesman" dentist and so far I'm very happy with my first visit. All staff we very friendly attentive and professional. Brittnay was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and got me through the new patient x-rays and process efficiently. Dr Sacar, although young, was extremely knowledgeable and a trustworthy Dentist. She gave me some needed referrals and was dialed in on providing the care needed and wasn't pushing for any expensive and ridiculous unneeded procedures like other dentists I have been to over the last three years. I believe I have found a new home for my dental needs and a crew I can trust. If the reviews from years ago were correct about staff, then they have made a wholesale change. NEVER AGAIN! I was about 2mins late but I called as well and yes for 2 mins I called. I waited 1hr before I was seen, that right there made me even more nervous I was about to leave until they called me back. The young lady that did my X-rays was ok she had a much better attitude from when she checked me in. I thought it was crazy that she was doing registration and taking x-rays, it may have been a better process if they could get one person for each of those different job titles IJS. I have never been to a place of business were EVERYBODY had a attitude from the time I walked in until the time I left. Dr. Turner was very rude and unprofessional him and one of the nurses were talking about another nurse, how she never does her job right and what she needs to do and he shakes his head in disgust and rolls his eyes. Dr. Turner got an attitude with me when I asked if there was another optional besides a root canal so of course I got one right back with him only because I was very unhappy with everyone there. I used to be a patient at this practice for years until about 2014-2015. I noticed an immediate change in the service and staff. The staff used to be very diverse and attentive, suddenly it was all one demographic and very rude and unprofessional. The dentist was not very attentive and the hygienist was not up to par. There was an overall sense that you were just a number and they all just wanted to clock in and out doing the bare minimum. The final straw for me was when the woman doing the X-ray scans couldn't figure it out and had to redo them like 3 times in one sitting. That's a very large amount of ionizing radiation I was exposed to due to her incompetence. Mind you ADA recommends the scans every 2-3 years. I had 3 years worth of scans in one day. I have been a patient ever since they were over by UTA. I have always scheduled my appointment with the same hygienist and she always did a great job. This last time I got a different person (I don't know why because my appointment was scheduled with my normal hygienist), this lady was rude and every time I asked a question she just looked at me like I was dumb. Turns out I had to get a few fillings and scheduled my appointment for that around 4:00, this was a big mistake. Although the two ladies doing the fillings were nice, I felt like they were rushing because they wanted to get done as soon as possible. It took them 28 minutes to complete the process and as soon as they were done they said "ok your done lets go" and was quickly rushed out of the cube. I didn't even have time to ask questions. I will never go back again. DD has gotten so big and I feel like now it's all about the profits and they don't even care about customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I'm switching to a dentist with a smaller office who will actually listen and answer my questions. read more

Had a root canal done at Diamond Dental last year (twice) and now spending $3000 to have it redone by a specialist this year after being examined by another dentist. Come to find out they did not follow proper procedures to keep out contamination, the crown was placed incorrectly and they also left part of a file in my tooth. My family and I have consistently had negative experiences with this dental practice. Today's appointment was the last straw. Half way through my cleaning, the hygienist says, "I gotta take this call" and proceeds to take a personal call on the other side of the room. I couldn't see him, but I could hear him on the phone. Ten minutes go by, then he must have stepped outside because I could no longer hear the personal conversation. Another five minutes....I'm still sitting there waiting. He returns without even apologizing. He very hurriedly goes through the remainder of my cleaning. He rushes me out. I'm standing in the waiting room fuming and I can feel with my tongue that only half of my teeth even got polished. Oh, and the dentist never once came by. I never saw him. And, to think that THIS is what I pay hundreds of dollars per year in dental insurance for? And, now they're going to bill my insurance for services I didn't even properly receive. Honestly, we should have moved our family to a different practice many years ago. Like other reviewers have said, it was a matter of convenience because of how close they are to our house, and the DHMO for my husband's employer gives us so few other options. Bottom line -- Diamond Dental does not care about you or your oral health. They only want to herd the masses of people in and out quickly. The front desk staff are unfriendly and unhelpful. I would avoid this place if you have any anxiety and prefer a place that talks you through and doesn't act like you are inconveniencing them! The day of my root canal, the dentist seemed annoyed that it took 2 shots to numb the area and then was frustrated by me not being able to open wide enough to do the root canal. Due to inflammation and a bad gag reflex I couldn't open wide and her attitude made me feel like I was wasting her time! Horrible experience and add to it that the gas didn't work and the were going to charge double what the Endodontist is charging due to their lack of attention to them not charging insurance correctly! This office always has new staff on the regular. Its not pleasing to go back to their office and hardly recognize any faces. I notice they turn over a lot of their employees quickly for reasons Im not sure of, however in a dental field that's not something you want to see. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, but i assume they have to be because most the staff is always new. The work I had done here has all turned bad over the years and I had to have it redone, and my new dentist says because my procedures were all done halfway and using the minimal requirements just to get by. I feel they care more about turning over patients quickly, just getting them in and out, so they can make money, and they don't have a great concern about the patients as a whole. read more

I have been going to Diamond Dental for at least 15 years and have been very satisfied until the last 5 years, basically due to the rates they charge, even with good insurance. I have been given treatment plans without them bothering to check what my insurance covered and when mentioning it, they adjusted the charges. I have noticed twice the charge for fees added to crowns where my insurance should have covered for less. My son needed a tooth extraction which they handled in the office (not covered with insurance.) The cost was minimal and he was then scheduled for a root canal. A few months later he needed another tooth extraction without further work and they wouldn't do the extraction and they referred him to another dentist who charged 3x`s RD amount to actually just pull his tooth out manually. Very annoying. I have also had long waiting times frequently, but it is usually like this. I do give the technicians and Dr. Turner great reviews for their work as I've always been satisfied with crowns, filings and cleanings I've had. But those extra charges may have me going for another dentist. read more

I will never come back. The front desstaff is rude, inattentive, and dismissive. It seems many of the other poor reviews mirror my exact experience. Waiting 45 minuets or longer to be seen after the scheduled appointment time. No communication from staff. I'm literally in the waiting room as I write this. It's an hour after my appointment time, the office has closed, and I was just told they were unsure when I would be seen. I took off work and had to make alternate arrangements for my kids to be picked up since they were running so late. Not to mention the pricing of dental services here were slightly above the average cost for other dentist in the area. I choose this place for convenience. I liked how close the office is to my home but there are thousand dentist in Arlington and not wasting my time here anymore. Oh and when I asked to speak with the office manager I was told she was on vacation. Surprise, surprise. read more

I had some teeth pulled and dentures for uppers. I was very very dissatisfied with the service and product. Of course it was real easy to get an appointment before all was paid for but once they received all my money and I was needing another adjustment because the denture wasn't fitting properly and was causing a lot of discomfort, it wasn't as easy to get an appointment. Needless to say I had to have another denture made with-in two years because my denture was literally coming apart tooth by tooth. (Obviously at a complete different Dentist office) For some reason this was showing that I gave them 3 stars that isn't correct, I only gave them 1 star. read more

If you don't want to miss a half day or more of work and be told a different fee amount every time you go to check out, then you might want to avoid going to Diamond Dental! I used to be a patient of Dr Turner's yrs ago when he was in a little old bldg on Mitchell by UTA and the service was quite good and honest. Now that he has moved to a larger facility, the service is slow & if you're lucky, you may see Dr Turner for your first visit/consultation and then never see him again. Their fees (even with dental insurance) are ridiculous and my husband & I even chose to pay over $100 more a month this year to switch to a higher dental premium that supposedly pays more! Diamond Dental will tell you that they have their "own fees" that they charge in addition to the fees that they submit to your insurance company. So those of you with dental insurance, BEWARE! I went to schedule a deep cleaning/scaling appt. After checking with my dental insurance and confirming it's covered 100%, I then went back to Diamond Dental to only be told that it would cost almost $300 and when I told them my insurance confirmed it was covered 100%, they agreed and then told me the $300 covers the "medicine" which is not covered by my insurance. Upon checking with my insurance, they had never heard of that. When I told the office staff this, they informed me rather rudely that the "meds" are not submitted to the insurance company, meaning they are allowed to charge any additional fees they want to! I mean, how many of us want to go to the dentist and not request use of medications?????? So if you think you will have some idea of how much your portion will cost, guess again!! I had two of the same procedures done back to back, both teeth were side by side, yet they were nowhere near the same fee and Diamond Dental did not even know why when I asked and even asked me if the insurance told me why!! Each time I went in I would be given a different amount to pay and would be even more confused than the previous visit! Oh & be sure to keep your receipts too because they had no record of me paying the previous visit. It's unfortunate that the accounting staff is so disorganized for I did like Dr. Patel and her work but when it's as disorganized as this, I have no other choice but to find a dentist elsewhere. read more

I gave this facility four stars based on how I was treated and the quality of work they performed. I had several appointments over the course of 2016 and never experienced any real problems. I would prefer a private dentist but my insurance isn't that great and I first came here based on a recommendation from a friend; not the reviews. I will say that Diamond Dental is very busy at times and it does make me a little nervous feeling like I'm in a herd of cattle in the waiting lobby, but if I can have a good experience without pain and walk away feeling assured I received high quality work, then I won't complain. I've had horrible past experiences as a child at other places and now I screen dentists initially at the Texas Board of Dental Examiners prior to any serious dental work. If it's a group of dentist, I screen all of them b/c you never really know who will be assigned to you. This provides me a little reassurance. Customer service is just as important; I've received nothing but good experiences here! I now bring my kids here and they're happy too. read more

I love Diamond Dental. Dr. Turner is great!!! My children started going there for orthodontics and we loved her, so after having a terrible dentist we decided to give the dentistry a chance too. My kids do not dread going to get their teeth cleaned at all, because the hygenists are really good. I have always had bad experiences with dentists, so had put off keeping my teeth in good condition, and just focused on making sure my kids took care of theirs. My teeth were jacked up and I had decided I was going to get a top set of dentures, because I was tired of putting money into them with root canals, etc and they still were unappealing. Dr. Turner said no, they were still in good shape and I was too young for that at age 37. He suggested putting crowns on top to improve my smile. He did 7 crowns on the teeth you can see when I smile. They look AMAZING! I cried when he was done. Another dentist probably would have let me go ahead and do the dentures, but Dr. Turner did not! He is a good dentist, and I will continue to go to him with my family! read more

I had three cavities and he told me I only had one, until the next visit to get the one cavity filled then magically ( literally 3 days later) I have 2 cavities that require a crown!? I am a new patient to Diamond Dental. I got there, got in, got out. Dr Thirtha is the first dentists I've been to that actually cares how something is making you feel. I don't like the dentist at all but she made is as painless as possible. I was in pain for a couple years ( I had a bad dental experience). As far as I was concerned I just wanted the tooth pulled and that was it. She convinced me to get a root canal, and it was a lot less painful then my past experience.The tooth's still there, no pain and I will be going back, which says alot. read more

I was a patient here for years and finally left after my last terrible experience. The front desk is always so rude, and getting anyone to call you back is like pulling teeth! (No pun intended) It literally takes months to get night guards back (they quote about 2-3 weeks) because the first two times they LOST my mold and I had to go back in to do another one. This was after a month of waiting already and had I not called to check I would have waited forever. This last time when I called after about 3 weeks they said it wasn't ready yet and they would call me. I called a month later after not hearing from anyone as usual and they said it had been ready for a month.. And that someone should have called me. Really?? Oh and if you ask why no one called you back they get an attitude real fast like that's not part of their job. How is any of this decent customer service?? I have always enjoyed going to the dentist. After visiting this office, I now understand why most people don't. I've gone here twice...both times for a cleaning. The first hygienist was very rough when cleaning my teeth. She scratched my gums and made them bleed and it felt like she was going to break my teeth. She also sprayed me twice in the face with the water and didn't even realize it. When I left, my jaw hurt for several days after. Then six months later, they called me the day before to remind me of my appt. which I had to cancel bc it wasn't enough notification for me to make it. So when I did go back, I specifically asked for a different hygienist. This one was just as rough and not very friendly. She griped at me for not flossing, but then she didn't even floss all of my teeth. She was done more quickly than any other cleaning i've ever had. And she also cut my gums with the tool.
