STEPH JUDGEMENT: All Rainbow, all the time…read more I stumbled upon this place while in the area meeting up with a friend. I was familiar with Rainbow sandals and their legendary durability, but I'd never owned a pair (they are investment flip flops and priced as such). It's a pretty large store, with aisles and aisles of sandals and even some closed-toe varieties. I had no idea that they offered so many different styles, including some non-leather options. After trying on a bunch of different styles, I got a pair of basic non-leather flip flops that felt nice and snug, with a cushy footbed. There was only one guy working behind the counter at the time, so it was pretty self serve, but the shoes were displayed in a well-organized manner so it wasn't hard to find things. I don't think the prices are significantly lower than if you get them at other retail outlets, but like I said, they are investment shoes. On that note, they did have a small section with refurbs/returns at a pretty steep discount. I believe you can also get repairs done here. If you're a fan of Rainbow sandals, this is the place.

These sandals are made of high-quality material; they are very comfortable (after you break them in by wearing them for a short time), and they will last forever! I purchased a black pair of sandals from this same store eleven or twelve years ago, and they are still in fantastic condition. They offer a HUGE selection of styles, colors, and of course, sizes. The employees are extremely friendly, ready to help make your visit a comfortable shopping experience, and you WILL walk out of here happy with your purchase. Parking is very limited in the small, private parking lot (perhaps six vehicles max); however, free street parking IS available.

Ever since Covid, I've just not gone to the movie theaters. I just think the experience overall…read moreit's expensive, etc. and I'd rather enjoy it at my home. With that, I recently saw the Devil wears Prada two and sheep detectives. Both times were very good experiences. I will say overall the experience is expensive for both tickets and concessions. We ordered our tickets online for both events. And we waited in line during Prada to get popcorn and beverages. The second time we went to see the sheep detectives and I ordered tickets online and also pre-ordered popcorn and beverages. Once your ticket is scanned it triggers a notification to. I'm assuming the concession stand to bring you the items. I think I scan my ticket around 7:15 PM for 730 show. I was one of three people in the movie theater. It took 15+ minutes just to get popcorn and a soda delivered to my seat not a dealbreaker, but I usually prefer to have those items even when the coming attraction start. I thought the theater was clean both times. The sound was good. I like that you can reserve the seats. During the sheep movie before it started, I did order a hotdog and again that took about 13 minutes to get. I get it. I'm not the only one ordering food. I just wish that part of the process would be a little more expedited. The popcorn tasted fresh. It's a bummer that it's Pepsi and also you can't do refills like at a regal theater with the freestyle Coke machines. Plenty of parking out front and then there's a parking garage right below the theater that brings you right up to it. Again, I'm not a huge movie or much anymore, but if there was something that caught my eye, probably would return here.

I got the dbox interactive seats. They moved, swayed, vibrated to movie. They also reclined and were heated. A couple of seats were missing pieces and need covers replaced. We all enjoyed the dbox seats. I got a smash burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was ok. I liked the garlic aioli. I wouldn't get it again for close to 20 bucks. But I was in a movie theater. My son got kids chicken tender with fries and he said they were ok. My other son got a kids grilled cheese and he said it was good. My eldest son got the hulk nachos and that was my fav. It was clean and tidy inside. Movie was great and the seats were worth 22 bucks a ticket. Thanks Metropolitan Metrolux!

This time, my family took a trip to Dana Point over the 4th of July holiday weekend…read more I heard that one of my brothers had booked our hotel in advance, and this was the place we stayed. He reserved a suite, so it had a separate living room and a very spacious bedroom. The bathroom also featured a whirlpool bathtub. Lately, I've been completely hooked on the FIFA World Cup, so as soon as we arrived on Friday, July 3rd, I had a great time watching the Argentina vs. Cabo Verde match. The suite had two TVs--one in the living room and another in the bedroom--which made it very convenient and comfortable to watch the game. Breakfast was included with our stay, so we enjoyed breakfast every morning on the first floor during our two-night stay. The breakfast selection was quite good, including waffles, bagels, donuts, sliced bread, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, yogurt, and a variety of coffee options such as mocha, latte, espresso, regular coffee, and decaf coffee. While we were having breakfast, I noticed there wasn't any cream cheese for the bagels. I asked one of the staff members who was restocking the breakfast items, and both the male and female staff members were incredibly friendly and quickly brought some out for us. We really appreciated their excellent service, and my mom left them a tip afterward. Those were the highlights of our stay, but there were also a few things that could have been better. First, as soon as we checked into our room, there was a strange smell inside. Because of that, we kept the balcony door and the windows open most of the time to air the room out. Second, after checking in on July 3rd, we naturally expected our room to be cleaned the following day. Before leaving in the morning to enjoy the recreational activities around Dana Point, my mom even left a $10 tip in the room for housekeeping. However, when we returned that afternoon, the room hadn't been cleaned at all. My brother called the front desk, and they told us there was no housekeeping service on the 4th of July because it was a holiday. We've stayed at many hotels while traveling over holiday weekends, but this was the first time we'd ever been told that there was no housekeeping because it was Independence Day. Later that afternoon, before heading out again to ride the local trolley, I asked another front desk employee about the housekeeping service. Instead of saying there was no housekeeping because of the holiday, the employee asked for our room number and then asked whether we had requested housekeeping that morning. I explained that we hadn't requested it in the morning but had called about an hour earlier, and the room still hadn't been serviced. The employee told us they could at least replace our towels, so we thanked them. As a result, we ended up sleeping for two nights on the same bed without the sheets ever being changed. Another issue I noticed was that the bathroom exhaust fan vent was extremely dirty. Most guests probably wouldn't notice it unless they looked closely, but it stood out to me right away. I felt it was worth mentioning. Those were the two main disappointments during our stay. On the positive side, the hotel's location was absolutely fantastic. Dana Point Harbor Beach was only about a five-minute walk away, making it incredibly easy to get to the beach. Directly across the street, there were plenty of restaurants and shops, including Starbucks, McDonald's, pizza places, Thai restaurants, and many other dining options. The location truly couldn't have been better. I later heard that my brother had considered booking a Marriott or another hotel, but he ultimately chose this one because it offered a spacious suite and was the closest hotel to the beach. Last year in May, we stayed at Murrieta Hot Springs. Although it was quite expensive at around $1,000 per night, the hotel was exceptionally clean, housekeeping was provided even during the holiday, and both the views and overall atmosphere were outstanding. This hotel's location was truly excellent, but I do wish the housekeeping and overall cleanliness had been better. That said, every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming, which definitely left us with a positive impression. cf) Parking is $25 per night at this hotel.

This was a great stay, right on PCH, and a few minutes walk to the beach…read more The staff were amazing. Our room had a balcony that faced West towards the ocean... But with the balcony door open, the auto noise on PCH was pretty loud at times. A trade off for a partial ocean view. Free breakfast in the morning, and there are plenty of places to eat within walking nearby. $25 to park unless your Diamond or Platinum, then its complimentary.
