Gas station on the way home from the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Easy to get to, good priced gasoline, brightly lit at night.

I experienced appalling customer service and blatant discrimination at this location. I went in to buy a water and a chocolate bar for my child. When I noticed the chocolate bar was broken and went to swap it for an intact one, the cashier became hostile. He compared me to "black people downtown" and told me, "You're just like THEM. You're trash." When I immediately canceled the transaction and walked out, he actually seemed confused as to why I wouldn't finish the purchase. Unhinged, racist, and completely unacceptable behavior. Avoid this station at all costs. Management needs to address who they have representing their business. ***I filed a formal complaint with Shell's corporate team and was given a cookie cutter response: We regret you had this experience at the site and hope it does not prevent you from visiting Shell branded stations in the future. Went in to get a car wash. Went through the car wash and hardly nothing was working. Went inside and explained that the car did not get washed. The clerk made me feel like I was lying but he ended up giving me credit to go through again. I had an appointment but afterwards I came back and went through and everything worked correctly. $8 for a basic wash. Glad it worked the second time. read more

The water rinse the soap before brushes even start. The brushes don't cover the car specially on the back. The dryer is short and weak. The vacuum is 2$ for a very short time and is sometimes broken. Considering it being the only vavuum, it is anoying. read more

Update: it still sucks. What a brilliant scam stay away from this gas station if you can. This is the most fighting I can do to "stick it" to them lmao. The service is terrible, the stations aren't clean, the car wash is genuinely terrible, and the best part: the vacuum isn't owned by them so it doesn't come with the car wash and it doesn't work but it'll still take your money. And of course they'll tell you to call a number to get your $1.50 back but is it really worth it? This place sucks. read more

In the last few years, every employee, including what seems to be managers or owners are extremely rude to customers. Remember we are the ones keeping your doors open. You need to change your attitude. This is my last time here I'll be going elsewhere to spend my money. Many different instances I have not had good interactions here. They sell car washes, I needed change for the vacuum that they sell service for. The guy could not give me quarters because he said I had to buy some thing in order to open his drawer. I said I was buying some thing I bought the car wash. Would not give me change. Another day, the guy wanted to charge me to turn the air for tires on which is illegal. Twice now I have let them know that the credit card machine does not work at the car wash so you have to go in to pay for it if you did not buy gas. The guy seem to be a manager. Kind of laughed it off and had the attitude that he could care less. Went through the car wash today and Air only worked on half of the car and turned off and all of the lights are not working on the car wash. They need to sell this place. I came here for a quick stop for a styrofoam ice chest and ice. It was around 1pm and they were closed...I saw a man inside and he kept waving his hand for me to leave. A couple other people came to try to get in too and that's when he put a note on the door that said they were closed. I don't know why it says their open 24 hours then. Horrible customer service. I took my business to the gas station across the street that had everything I was looking for. Definitely won't be stopping at this gas station again, after reading the other review it seems like they always just close at random times. Worst station for rewards. Scanned my Ralph's card for 30cents off but the machine did not adjust price. Went inside for the clerk to run the discount but thy hen came up with only 10 cents even though I did not get fuel outside. He could not assist or do anything to fix t he e fuel pumps. read more
