Cashier with the handlebar mustache. I asked for a bag which he then laid on the counter as I paid via Apple pay. I bagged my items. I asked if he bagged items for people? (I thought it was of normal courtesy to bag items if there is no line). Which he then responded "Yeah it depends. I do for some people." Which I'm not sure why he didn't for me? If there was no line whatsoever. We were the only individuals in the store. Not trying to be entitled but just figured that was an odd response. read more

I don't know what the issue is with the guy with that mustache but he looked me up and down with a disgusting face and his whole demeanor changed. I don't know if he was profiling me or something but seriously horrible service. read more

$40 for a car wash, went to pick it up, it had just closed, the interior was 100% neglected. Not the seats, not the cup holder , not the dash , no vacuum could have touched the interior of this car. Not planning on returning any time in the future. read more

Maxwell (called out by Raymond F) is the worst. Rude, condescending, accusatory, and disrespectful. Have a monthly pass. Accidentally misspoke to the guys outside about which tier I have when giving my car. Even though I've been here 3 times this month no other attendant offered to correct my receipt calling out the service plan I pay for vs the wash level to be provided. Maxwell claimed I was deliberately trying to "pull the wool over his eyes" lol. For $4 lol. And that he can't speak as to why 3x this month no one has corrected the plan type and membership level. Aloof, arrogant, and absolves any desire to accept that his tone might be inappropriate and deterring to repeat customers. All in all: a cancer for the business. I would fire him immediately if I owned the c store. Better off closed with no revenue during his shift hours vs the slow falloff of repeat customers and their experience being recounted online to make it worse. read more

Overall a very nice gas station in a safe neighborhood. This station features a car wash. I docked one-star in my review because of the lackluster gift shop. read more

Chevron - Customers (including myself) kept leaving their receipts. - Gas Stations Near Me - Del Mar, California

Just got fuel here so I can't comment on the car washes... well I can comment... my comment is that my car is always dirty and I feel a little embarrassed to get fuel here because I know everyone thinks I'll get it washed or need to have it washed... not today everyone... not today! Roomy gas station without obnoxiously loud ads playing on the pumps. This is a flow type of gas station so you also won't find cars moving about Willy Nilly which is nice. Overall a part of my rotation! read more

Thank you so much to Maria at this Chevron. She is very professional and delivers exceptional customer service. super helpful and on point. Give this woman a raise/ promotion. read more

I'm on my way back from Mexico and of course wife wants to pee. We need gas so I kill two birds with one stone. Wait , the Chevron did not have a restroom for public use. You are kidding me so I topped off and had to take her elsewhere read more

Attendant was very rude, trash cans were full, was closed when hours on website clearly state 12am, wouldn't recommend this gas station... wait until the next one. Also the gas didn't dispense at 6.2 gallons per minute as is required by weights and balances. read more

Chevron - Rude employee - Gas Stations Near Me - Del Mar, California

Wilbert and Christopher were so helpful in filling my engine oil. They did it with a smile and also refused to take the tip. What gentlemen! I had gone to the Mobil off Lomas Santa Fe and the employee there said he couldn't help as he couldn't leave the register which I understood, however, an alternative solution would have been helpful. Christopher and Wilbert are true assets to Chevron! read more

We've been going to this gas station off and on over the past 5 years when we visit the area and we will be zooming thru again in November this year and when i saw some of the reviews that were bad I was a little concerned and wrote to chevron and got a nice email from corporate then a nice call from the stations' manager Kevin who both ensured that the bathroom CAN be used by customers getting gas and you can even call ahead to be sure before going... They have GREAT customer care and even though bathroom use is not a fun conversation, well, its only human, and when getting gas and paying for treats too before a long journey out of town back home, best to use the facilities. Thanks Kevin for the call and personal touch to us, your loyal customers from Texas, and Santa Barbara. read more

I actually prefer this gas station because of it's out-of-the-way location inside this busy shopping center. Price is expensive when compared to Costco and generic stations but you'll be hard pressed to find other options close by. There's an ARCO down two exits but it's in a hard to reach location because of it's location under the 56. - Inside is nice and clean if you're looking for grab and go snack and drinks options. - Pumps are pretty solid. No false shut-offs yet. read more

Expensive gas. Go to Costco for better gas prices. I feel they are taking advantage of the situation.

Car wash scam. Do not patronize this company for a car wash as they charge more for small and medium size SUVs as "large cars". Something like a Ford escape is charged the same as a suburban or large pick up. Total scam and unethical. Never again. Patronize honest companies and this is not one of them. read more

I come here because it's convenient to get on and off the freeway here and they have a lot of pumps so I never have to wait for one. The convenience store has a nice variety of snacks, drinks and little items and the employees have always been polite to me. The gas station is kept clean and well maintained. They accept credit cards. read more

So here is the scam...nobody would try to move counterfeit five dollar bills...if u r gonna take time to make a fake bill, it isn't gonna be a fiver. So, I go in to buy me a deliciously cold refreshing red bull and throw the clerk a five dollar bill. He sees I have more bills in my wallet so he takes out a sharpie and marks it black then tells me the bill is fake. "Okay, guy. Here is another bill. Give me that one back." "No Sir, I am not allowed to do that, we have to throw it away." How many times do people fall for this? I should have gotten the guys name, but oh well. Be ready for the Hussle if it happens to u ..fyi he gave me the five back when I called his bluff read more

I just had my car washed at the Chevron on Via de la Valle. Roger met me at my car. He was very polite, and did a great job on the wash. I will be back next time! read more

Infuriating. Stoped for gas and decided to get a wash. Guy tried to up sell me. Then they locked the keys in the car. Pried my door and bent it. Finally called a tow truck to open it. Not to mention they didn't even finish cleaning it until after the tow truck came and unlocked it. So the car is still dirty. Worst part was is I was on my way to pick up my kids and this ordeal made me super late. Two thumbs down. Oh yea when I asked for a refund all I got was serious attitude from the clerk. Really bad experience. Stay away you've been warned. read more

Altercation with employee at Del Mar Chevron: Tonight I filled up my car at the Chevron in Del Mar while my friend used the restroom. I decided to use the restroom after she returned, at which point she told me the women's room was out of order (had trouble flushing). Based on this information, I walked in and went directly to the (single stall) men's room. After I came out of the bathroom, I was informed by the cashier that I had used the wrong restroom. I assumed he was telling me for my sake (?) and said "oh, that's alright". He continued to look at me and shake his head. At this point, it became clear to me he had an issue with me using the men's room. When I asked if there was a problem, the cashier told me that I had broken the law and said "get out of the store". Shocked, I asked how I had broken the law. He claimed I was a sex offender (again, this was a single stall bathroom) for using the men's bathroom. He threatened to call the cops until I left. I encouraged him to call them, as I am confident no law was broken. He continually told me to "Get the f*ck out of the store". He told me that he was the owner of the establishment and that I was a "f*cking b*tch" and needed to "get the f*ck out". After the surprise of this unnecessary and highly contentious exchange wore off, I felt compelled this story on here so 1. if you are a person who uses a bathroom other than the one other's may assume you "should" then please avoid the Del Mar Chevron 2. I will no longer be patronizing Chevron and encourage others to find another gas station as well. 3. If the owner of the Chevron at 2661 Via De La Valle, Del Mar, CA is not the person I had this interaction with, please reach out so I can share the name of the cashier who incited this verbal altercation read more

The lady that's works there came out rude with an attitude saying if you guys are done here while we were trying to help out another family member with her car problem and then she has the Audacity to tell my other family member that we're not welcome here no more and that we have a nasty attitude while we were just telling her that we not the people to talk to with a attitude read more

Got here at 12pm just to grab some gas and something to drink. The employee behind the counter (some tattooed tall guy) just ignored the customers as he chatted and chatted with someone. Didn't acknowledge the customers whatsoever. It was pretty rude. Ended up leaving without purchasing anything at all and went to another gas station that deserved the business. read more

My entire family stopped by this Chevron late last night, 3pm, we'd been driving from Tijuana, the store was well lighted, tons of cold drinks. And restrooms!!! Attendant on 11/9/20 3:15am is rude! This guy was just using his phone. Unfortunately had to talk 'cause I am paying cash. I signed 30 and he said "what do you want?" With an attitude. The hell getting paid by just busy on the phone. Chevron, you need to adjust your standards! read more

In, out, super convenient. A bit pricey, but it's right off of 5 and you can exit and enter real quickly

Great gas stations, very clean, and you can find great coupons for wash discount. Then to me, most importantly is floors, product and items for sale which is always displayed neatly and saves your life if you're invited somewhere and you need a card or present - bathroom clean. I'm not sure why others complain maybe just bad days, but I've been coming here for years. read more

The sign says Chevron 24hr Car Wash. well the car wash closed at 6:00 pm, but the gas station is open 24 hrs.

Super effing expensive. I don't get gas based on brand. I literally get whatever is cheaper. This isn't cheap at all. Nice shopping center though. read more
