Just went back and got a fantastic wash. My car was filthy and it looks (mostly) sparkling now! (I say mostly because I didn't opt to pay for a full detail, which my car really needs - they have those services too but for today I got exterior, dashboard, mats, wheel, etc., but not the seats). Anyway, this is my fave place to get a car wash. It's much more spacious than the one in DM Highlands and they do a great job. And you can get Starbucks next door while you're waiting, and they have shady seats while they're working on your car. They really gave it a ton of attention - I was there for almost an hour and it's amazing how clean it is. The Mideastern restaurant that was inside (and was fabulous) has closed, and I haven't tried the new place yet (Mexican I think), but that's another thing you can do here while you wait. Thanks, SDG&Carwash! And yes, if you're going around 4:30, you might call to double-check that they are staying open. But it apparently was a one-time thing. It's nice and cool in the morning anyway, so I'm glad I got this out of the way and have a clean car for the rest of my day!

If you run out of hydrogen before you get there you're going to have to have your car towed there because they can't deliver hydrogen to you. The weekend of Easter they ran out of hydrogen to A grinch in their hydrogen supply which they should always make sure they have that and then when they did get the hydrogen they started filling up the tanks in Los Angeles before San Diego even though we only have one hydrogen station and Los Angeles had plenty they filled 2,3, 4 or more stations in Los Angeles before they even came to fill the only 1 we have in San Diego. It's all about the money they can make because in Los Angeles there's all kinds of different hydrogen cars so they make more money with lots of cars in Los Angeles having hydrogen and going to the pumps. So of course they want to fill those first they don't care about us who have no other option here but this one gas station. It was a whole week before we got hydrogen here and I was home down because I wasn't able to go anywhere due to my gas tank like being on and being that low. And now they are mysteriously cutting off the supply for 2+ weeks? Support is ridiculous as well and I've even been hung up on by technicians when having a calm conversation. There were several things I really like about Del Mar Motors: 1. Amazing deal. Audrey really worked with me and tried to get me as close as I could to my sweet spot monthly payment. 2. Customer service. Audrey was quick. I like quick. I know she's busy and I can't be the only person she's dealing with, but she was always fast to answering my questions. She also texts. I like texts too. People don't realize your phone rings and you can't always get to it. Than it's a back and forth game of phone tag. I texted her a question and I know when she had a moment, she quickly responded. It made my life so much easier since our deal was done during work hours; while I was in and out of appts and client meetings. 3. Honesty. Rare one since no ones honest anymore. Audrey really pushed me to go through my local credit union for a better loan. Lazy me was willing to go through her loan company because I didn't want to go a local bank and sit through the process. I honestly think she told me more than once to go. It was pretty much a weirdly genuine local credit union sales pitch/Mom lecture to do the smart thing. And I cannot thank her enough for really pushing it. I got an amazing rate and pretty much skipped out of the bank. 4. Easy. She's super chill. We were a little pressed on time considering we were leaving Bakersfield before Del Mar opened so I was having a slight panic attack getting the loan approval in time. Come to find out, I was the only one worried. She basically had everything situated and under control. 5. Nice. Lots of companies lack this trait. Super sad, but true. She even recommended food places in a boojie city or chill city lol. It's pretty obvious we had a fantastic experience. I thought my precious car buying experiences were easy, but she kind of won. I read their negative reviews and I'm really surprised. If you're considering Del Mar, don't let those reviews sway you the wrong way.

Update: After…read moreposting my last review many years ago. Del Mar motor cars actually REPLACED my passenger visor! The very NEXT day! Good company to buy from. To this day I am still very satisfied with my buying experience I had with them! I actually don't own my Xterra anymore. I sold it to my best friend, who then sold it to someone else. That's actually how good it was. It's probably still out there!! (2003 X-terra - 2020 review here!) Whenever someone ask me where to buy a car from. I always recommend Del Mar Motor Cars!
