On our way back to Las Vegas, we had to fill up our gas tank. This Shell station was located next to one of the major highways in San Diego California. It was easy and convenient to get to. We also stopped inside to pick up a few snacks. I just had to buy a bag of the ranch flavored bugles!! Went to this shell station to have a smog test performed. When i pulled up there was already someone ahead of me and being assisted. With in only a minute of pulling up i was addressed and put in line as next. The owner was so nice and very quick. He assisted with my smog and had it done with in 10 minutes. Everything went great and I will be back the year after next for another smog. read more

Have had smog checks at this Shell for years. Came to get a smog check and the worker had a huge attitude when I asked how long the wait was. Made it sound like there was a huge number of cars, which there weren't. Sorry you were having a bad day, but after that exchange, I will never use this business again. Never open, Never works day or night, everytime I drive by for gas they're never open all tubes are "unavailable"

With these gas prices, the least you can do is have a working bathroom. Where does the staff go? It's not out of order!

Service here is terrible if you go inside to buy anything. Seems like they close whenever they feel like it. Often no one to be found inside working and usually have to wait a few minutes for someone to show up. I've seen the door randomly locked too. When someone shows up they are the least friendly person I've ever seen. The Hydrogen Fueling station sucks here but I won't blame shell for that. read more

First please understand the 5 star mechanics Bentley and Jon are completely separate from the Shell gas station and snack shop operation. They just share that same building. The mechanics are first rate and I highly recommend them. You will see all types of cars there, from modest older models to very nice, high end late model luxury vehicles. I always took my BMW X5 there for a AC recharge, minor items that came up, smog, oil changes, any dash board service light matters, tail light replacements, flat tire repair, radiator repair, etc. They will beat any oil change price around. Bentley is very knowledgeable, responsive, highly trained and personable. read more

I have been filling propane tanks here for years. A little slow, but always nice people. We fill up 3-4 tanks per month. I brought 3 in today and was told there was only one person on duty, so he could not help me. I stated they usually lock the door and come fill the tank. He then stated the pump is broken. Definitely one star service but he gets an extra star. Without him, I would have never discovered the local uhaul location that fills tanks for almost 1/2 the cost of this Shell. The 7ft Male of India descent from observation. I could be wrong. He was the most rudest and confrontational person i have ever seen. He verbally and tried to almost physically bully a little 5ft woman by not letting them gas up. The place was almost empty at night and he must have been bored. Full moon? Doubt it. He needed something else other than caffeine to stay up. He said he was the owner. I doubt it. No customer service skills and really hot headed. The few people that we going to get gas got scared and thought he might go crazy and hurt someone. Almost called 911. I would avoid this. Look at the other reviews. I honestly stopped by to use the restroom only. After a long drive and cold weather it's hard to hold my pee LOL. I purchased 3 bags of potatoe chips and 2 bottles of water so I asked the attendant to use the restroom and he told me that the public restroom available was out of service but surprisingly the gentleman was very courteous and let me used the employees restroom. HIGHLY APPRECIATED. I ended up filling up the tank & the prices of the gas was cheaper than my area, Pasadena. read more

Super rude manager on site. Came in to use the bathroom while my bf was pumping gas outside and he said no bathroom. We still got about an hour and 15 mins to get home but nope, no explanation given...just a short no bathroom. Even tho my bf said he was able to use the bathroom here many times before just fine. I feel a bit slightly discriminated. Definitely will never come by again, even if I am extremely low on gas. This is an extremely busy gas station with the car wash, the repair center, the store, the dry cleaners, the nail place and Scripps on the one side and Starbucks on the other. The gas prices are average. As long as you are very careful driving in and out its very convenient. read more
