We stopped by at 9:45pm for gas, just in time before they close (10pm). We needed gas before heading back home(2 hr drive) and the male working the registered told us he was closed. We told him that the signed said they closed at 10pm and he continued to say yeah but I closed. We then tried to pay out side at the pump and pump stated to see cashier. When we told him it was not allowing us to pay he stated "yeah because I shut everything down already because it's CLOSED" My problem is... if the sign and website say you are open till 10pm, stay open TILL 10pm. In that case just advertise you close at 9:30pm So you can be off before 10pm. People need to get gas to get home and just because you want to go home early doesn't mean you shut down early. If you don't want to stay until your shift is done why are you even working there. This happened 9/12 read more

WEED! Literally smoking weed and high off his butt, probably cause he was acting it, and the smell of weed was so strong. I couldn't even pay for my gas without coughing. read more

Good and convenient, fast service, good location. Lots of car traffic but transaccions are smooth and fast.

I don't know where to start, but these guys have helped me so many times and I always leave satisfied I would never take my car to any other shop because I don't trust anyone however, I have earned my trust again and again and again even when I had no money, they still helped me. I'm forever in debt to their kindness. read more

The best service station in San Diego. Bryan is so friendly and very honest. I've taken several of our cars here. Most recently did a smog check and oil change. They have very honest prices and a super quick and responsive. There's a reason why everyone in UC brings there cars here. Highly recommend. read more

I took the car in for a last minute smog check. They got me in same day and took great care of me! Scott is amazing and so is everyone else there. They are kind and professional read more

Thank you. I took my truck in for a water pump and belt late yesterday. Done today. I highly recommend them.

This gas station is right on Miramar road and I always find its gas prices cheaper than any other station of same standard around. The place is spacious, no traffic jams. They've also got car wash and air/water station. read more

Shell Gas Station - Gas Stations Near Me - San Diego, California

I needed an oil change and a SMOG so I pulled up and parked. There were 3 guys there. I said hello?! And one guy literally turns around, looks right at me and then turns back around to stare off into the abyss, and no, he was not busy doing anything. The other two, who HAD to have heard my loud *ss car also ignored me. So I turned around and said F this as I got back in my car and then suddenly they were like, "oh what's up, need help?" No. Not from you. I used to love this place. I've now tried 3 times recently and every time the customer service they used to have was gone. So I'll just go somewhere less sucky. read more

I took my 1999 Toyota Corolla in for an oil change, it was very busy so I had to wait for 2 hours, but I was fine with that since I had to get it done that day. Ronald worked on my car and did a great job, he even fixed one of my headlights that was out for a while. I have been taking my other car here as well and they always take time to speak to you about every detail after doing a fantastic job. I highly recommend Ronald - 5 super stars for the work he did! read more

Great people and great service. Old school! Very kind, honest and willing to help. Great prices as well.

Service member tried to use my car as a service vehicle to bring customers home. Saw them load my car with a customer and her customer's baggage. .. when they saw me they had the customer leave and baggage removed. read more

We have been very pleased with work done here. Scott is very competent and professional. Highly recommend them! read more

A popular little gas station, a little smaller to pull in to get gas sometimes. Otherwise, it's nice to have the convenience of them being close by. They do sell oil, and other fluids your car may need in a pinch. read more

Their service center did unnecessary work on my friends car to pad the bill. Put on new timing belt that had already been replaced. This was very expensive. Would not recommend this place. read more

I've had nothing but good experiences with the shop. I've had an oil change and battery replacement on my Lexus. Fast and prices are definitely fair. read more

Very strange gas station-mechanic shop. Brought my car in for a check up. They said it needs tires. It does not. Clearly. Tires are new. They said it has an oil leak because the bottom pan has oil on it??? That is absolutely absurd. The oil there is from oil changes and drops and drips from above in total normal range. When I go from oil l change to oil change to oil change to oil change every 3k miles, the oil LEVEL is NEVER ever low. Lol. This car has low miles. These people are ridiculous seriously. that's the last time I take any car to a gas station for a mechanic check up. Cars belong in real mechanic shops not gas stations. I understand they want to do some work if they discover work, but calling out something absurd just to gauge the client is totally out of line. My recommendation: Mechanic shop, not gas station. read more

I've been coming to this station for gas for years. I'm a big fan of Shell and worked there as a kid. I pulled up to this particular franchise where the attendent turned off the light after I pulled up. They shut down the pumps at 10pm and it was 10:05, which is the first I've seen at the franchise. I begged the attendent to let me pump my gas and he said he wouldn't. I promptly told him he lost a life customer, to which he gave a thumbs up. Here is one star in exchange for your professionalism and service. read more

Great service with my BMW. Always friendly, professional, fair, transparent and fast!!! Thank you!!!!

I've had tire issues, brakes replaced, smog, a bunch of other repair/maintenance stuff done over a decade here, with 4 different cars and they always take care of me and my family. Good service, fair price. I recommend them and will keep going back. read more

I never really go to this gas station for gas, but my boyfriends car has ended up at the service a bunch of times and they've always taken really good care of him, so I decided to head that way and see if they could help me with my tail light that was out- the guy stopped what he was doing and came right out to help me, and he didn't even charge me!! The service team is super nice here and I'm sure they'd take great care of anyone! read more

I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my car serviced. Friendly helpful Service with a smile and very helpful. I found their employees go above and beyond to make sure they provide their customers with great service. Make sure you use your yelp app to get a $10 discount on a smog check. read more

We have been going here for years. It is a great comfort to have a mechanic you can trust. There have been times they found something small and didn't charge me. Once I had to tow my car there due to something related to a brake problem (later turned out to be a recall issue). It seemed so serious and they ended up only charging me $85. Everyone is friendly and now that there is a Coffee Bean next door I can work while my car is serviced. Would recommend this place to everyone (and do!). read more

Since I live in the neighborhood, the service station is very conveinient. BUT that isn't why I go there. I take my car to Shell because I trust the staff. They don't try to upsell me when I take my car for service and they always have my car ready when they say they will. Chad even saw me drive by in the parking lot and made the effort to come let me know my tail light was out. All of the staff is great and you can't go wrong taking your car there. Thanks Shell!! read more

Always helpful with any car issue. Reliable auto mechanic. We have been taking our cars there for years, never had any issues. Now if only their gas was as cheap as the other two at the same intersection, they would have a 5 star rating. read more
